In collaboration with the choir who punctuated his message with songs of praise, Wise Man Racine held the congregation in rapt attention with the profundity of his message entitled, ‘The Power Within’.
In the Word of God, he said, there is victory, blessing and deliverance. People fail because they are controlled by the power on the outside in form of what they see, hear and read which they allow to dictate their direction. As Christians, he advised, we should work by faith but not by sight. A man who works by faith requires no evidence of the senses but has victory in his faith. He equally cautioned against fear which, he said, stops us from making important decisions that can change our lives.
Toeing the same line as the wise man, Prophet T. B. Joshua maintained that to identify our weakness is victory itself, adding that we are here because we require where we need to grow. To know this, according to him, is 50% of the victory. He averred that the temptation of Christians can be spelt out in five words- namely fear, ego, pride, greed and moral compromise. As we grow in influence and power, the temptation from these increases in our character and behaviour.
Biblical leadership is about drilling deep until we reach the bedrock. If we confess what is in our hearts, what we believe, Jesus comes to bring us to balance, he observed.
SOME EARLY PROPHECIES
In another breath, the prophet decided to go down memory lane to reflect over some of his prophecies which impinged on other countries. Among these was the prophecy which drew attention to a plane which was to crash in a country that has ‘IN’ beginning its spelling. The prophecy was vindicated by the plane crash in Indonesia on March 13, 2011. In the prophecy, he asked Indonesia to check their plane on the tarmac. The crash killed 27 people. The plane ran short of the runway while trying to land, killing all the 27 people on board.
He also spoke of the prophecy about the president of Poland and members of his cabinet being involved in a plane crash. The prophet, in the process, also gave new prophecies. He advised the congregation to pray for the country, Kenya because of an explosion that he could foresee. The explosion would occur among a group of people.
THE ANOINTING WATER WORLDWIDE
Following that, the prophet had the recent video clips on the Anointing Water in other countries activated. In Athens, Greece, the clip revealed a young man Mr Fortis who had a fracture in the arm because of which he was wearing a plaster. However, as soon as he received an administration of the Anointing Water, both the plaster and the sling that held the arm in position were removed. The fact that he could immediately deplore the arm to play guitar to glorify the Lord was itself another miracle. The London branch of the church also witnessed the Holy Spirit at work falling people under the anointing and rendering contrary spirits helpless as a consequence of the Anointing Water. In Ghana in West Africa, the church was filled to capacity and canopies were used to camp the overflow congregation. As the other branches, it was yet another account of the miracles credited to the Anointing Water.
ANOINTING FOILED KIDNAP ATTEMPT
Mrs Hope Okoro from Delta and her daughter mounted the platform to testify to the greatness of God for foiling an attempt to kidnap the said daughter. The incident of kidnapping took place on 15 March.
As soon as the mother’s attention was drawn to it, she got hold of the Anointing Water and sprayed it in prayer on her daughter’s picture. No sooner she did that than the kidnappers were afflicted with the spirit of confusion and, in that state, reversed their vehicle and gave the daughter fare to go back to their house. The entire congregation joined both mother and daughter to glorify the Lord in celebration of the foiled kidnapping.
PROPHECY REUNTES COUPLE UNDER ONE ROOF
Prophet T. B. Joshua had, in a message of prophecy the previous week, drawn attention to a lady who had packed her personal effects in a bid to end the marriage because of the allegation of adultery levelled at her by her husband. She had only come to the church, according to the prophet, to seek exoneration or else call it quits. Giving her testimony during the following Sunday worship, Mrs. Tina Ugochukwu stated that she had decided to pick up a job as a way of alleviating the poverty in their marital home, to the chagrin of her husband who never relished the idea. Secondly, the job offer had necessitated her relocation to Port Harcourt and leaving her husband lonely in Lagos.
In Port Harcourt, Tina shared a living apartment with her unmarried friend. Her husband decided to visit his wife in her new abode shared with an unmarried friend of hers, Mr Ugochukwu was taken aback by the spectacle that unfolded before him. Right under his nose, a man came over and leant his arm on her shoulder and asked her whether her husband had gone! Getting back to Lagos, Mr Ugochukwu called his wife by phone and instructed her to proceed to Lagos where he would look for another job for her, if she must work. Putting the final nail on the issue, the prophet addressed Tina for handling the situation inappropriately by introducing her husband belatedly to the other man and allowing him to behave in such a way. He directed that Tina should leave her job in Port Harcourt and join her husband in Lagos in the interest of marital harmony as he prophesied a boom for Mr Ugochukwu’s business. The couple thanked God and His anointed one for salvaging their marriage.
PROPHECY ENDS TEN YEARS OF BEDWETTING
Another prophecy in course of service the previous Sunday focused on a lady who became afflicted by the spirit of bedwetting right from the day of her wedding. Issuing the message of the prophecy, Prophet T.B. Joshua vividly painted the picture of the lady in question, referring to her as a lady of personality and exclaimed, ‘What a wonderful wedding!’ Asking her to come out without being shy, the prophet described her as wearing a white gown and having ‘H’ as the initial letter of her name.
Brushing aside all shyness, a lady of the prophet’s description emerged from the congregation to confirm the prophecy in its fine details. In her testimony, the woman confirmed the prophecy once more and added that since her deliverance the Sunday before, the bedwetting had stopped. In his testimony, Mr Philip Kareem, the husband narrated their plight since the wedding, the beauty and joy of which ceremony had for ten years been spoilt by her bedwetting. He added that he had resisted the inner prompting to void the marriage because of the bedwetting, adding that he had occasionally washed the bedding that had been soaked by her urine. He advised his listeners to be patient, loving and look up to God for a solution to their problems.
INSATIABLE URGE FOR SEX CURBED
The next prophecy was issued to a young woman who, in the course of the mass prayer, manifested wildly and later appealed to the prophet to deliver her from the spirit of python. The prophet exposed the evil spirit in her and he described her as having moved from hotel to hotel and from man to man to seek sexual satisfaction but to no avail. Confirming the prophecy, the young woman, Cynthia from Delta, added that she had recently abandoned a man in Lagos and gone to stay with a new one who she was already planning to leave for yet another.
In the face of the encroaching darkness, the service came to an end till Monday noon.
