WISE MAN DANIEL

The service of Sunday 29th April 2012 began with an uplifting and thought-provoking message from Wise Man Daniel, titled “As It Was So It Is”. Using Mark 6:15 for illustration, he preached that the unbelief of people was based on what they saw with their naked eyes. As Christians, if you base your judgement on these, you have not looked deep

enough – if we base our faith on what we see, hear, read in newspapers and circumstances and thus allow our feelings to control our faith, we can be Christians yet controlled by satan’s devices.

Using Luke 6:22-23 for illustration, he preached that any time God is coming with His blessing, the first sign you will receive is attacks. When your trials are getting hotter, you are getting closer to your breakthrough. Trials, difficulties, embarrassment and name callings cannot destroy you, as Christian. Rather, they make way for further strategies which are developed to meet new challenges.

He also referred to Matthew 10:12-15, explaining that there are four kinds of people you will meet in life: those who add, multiply, divide and subtract from our blessing. “Your relationship with them will make or mar you, build you up or destroy you.” He concluded by saying, “As children of God, it is time to dream again – to draw greater plans.”

PROPHETIC RECONCILIATION: FATHER SEES DAUGHTER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 32 YEARS!
During the service, Prophet T.B. Joshua asked a video to be shown to the congregation of a prophetic message given over five years ago in early 2007. In it, Mr Sunday Ehimhen from Edo State (now living in Abuja) cried out during a Sunday Service that he had an accident, resulting in a broken arm which had failed to heal. Though he was focused on his immediate problem, the prophet pointed him to the cause of his dilemma, revealing that his problems began when he abandoned a woman who was pregnant for him 27 years ago. The prophet instructed him to look for the child, stating that upon reconciliation, breakthrough in his life would be restored.

In his testimony, Mr Ehimhen explained that he had not initially taken the prophecy seriously. However, after his problems continued to persist with failure in business, an unceremonious return from abroad and his house in Abuja being nearly pulled down, he began earnestly searching for his long-lost child. Finally discovering her in Lagos the week before the service through the help of a family friend, he knelt down to beg her for forgiveness. It was the first time had seen his daughter in 32 years!

Explaining how the initial relationship with her mother had ended, Mr. Ehimhen said, “I promised to marry the girl but after she became pregnant, the spirit of love suddenly disappeared from my mind. My love for her vanished and any time I saw her, I was angry”. He broke the relationship, refusing to acknowledge that he was the owner of the pregnancy. From that incident onwards, Sunday moved from one disappointment to another, experiencing inexplicable setback even at the point of breakthrough.

Antonia, his long-lost daughter who accompanied him to The SCOAN, expressed gladness for finding her real father, though she was bitter at not being educated and never enjoying fatherly care. She had grown up believing her step-father to be her biological father as her mother had never revealed the circumstances behind her birth. At 32 years, Antonia said she was unmarried and had been struggling to fend for herself. She explained that her boyfriend had been the one providing her means of sustenance, including clothes and food, for the past eight years.

Amazed at the way the prophecy had reunited father and daughter, she said she has forgiven her father and believes the reconciliation will pave the way for better things to come.

A SUDDEN PROPHECY
In the midst of the testimony, Prophet T.B. Joshua suddenly stopped mid-sentence and then dramatically called for the congregation to pray, stating that he saw an imminent attack in his nation Nigeria. Reminding the congregants of his message last week, he said that the youths should cease fire and leave the battle for God. He asked the congregants to pray for God’s protection, which they did for about one minute.  Less than an hour later in the service, the news of an attack on some Christian students of the Bayero University Kanu, was announced. The prophet was grieved, and the church went silent in sober reflection. “All men’s hearts are in His hands,” he said.

NO OPERATION AFTER PROPHECY!
A clip was then shown of a prophecy given during last week’s Monday Prophetic Service, where T.B. Joshua told a pregnant woman to pray against an operation. She had immediately confirmed that her baby was positioned wrongly and the doctors had already recommended an operation, adding that her last child was also delivered through an operation. After prayer, the prophet declared her free to go and deliver her baby girl safely!

The lady, Romina Ogba from Delta State came to the Sunday Service, with her parents, to testify to the glory of God in her life. Holding her child with pride and happiness, she said, “Immediately he prayed for me, I felt something moving within me.” After the prayer,

she delivered her child safely and quickly, without an operation! The gender of the child was a girl, confirming the prophecy. T.B. Joshua explained to the church, “Healing, deliverance and prophetic ministries came together to give this result”. He added, “Every Word of God is very pure and therefore very sure”.

THE PYTHON OF NEMBE KINGDOM EXPOSED!
Another video was played, documenting an incident during the previous week’s Monday prophetic service where a young lady began manifesting during the mass prayer as T.B. Joshua prayed, “Every constant experience of bondage should be loosed in the name of Jesus”.

The evil spirit within her was manifesting, saying, “I am the serpent of Nembe Kingdom… Everyone born into that kingdom is in my hands.” The spirit said that because this young lady had tried to draw close to God and read the Bible, it had entered her to ensure she would fall.

Miss Eremi Moses explained that in Nembe Kingdom, Bayelsa State, the god of the land whom the people worship and pay homage to is a serpent. According to her, everyone born into that area is dedicated to this serpent and brought up to worship it. Moses said her problems really began when she gave her life to Christ at the age of 16. Immediately following this decision, she experienced different encounters in her dreams such as making love with an unknown man, suffocation and a giant man always pressing her down.

Although she had never experienced true deliverance, she was very actively involved in evangelical work, preaching and spreading the Gospel in her environment.  Over the years, despite her church commitments, she said, “I was suffering under the influence of these demons. I fell and rose, fell and rose. Any time I entered the village, my prayer life would cease”. She said she had a dream where she saw a dark giant man who had red lips, who turned into a wind and hit her against the wall, saying, “Everyone born in Nembe belongs to me and is a leaf on my tree; you must bow before me!”

After realising that she needed through deliverance, Moses discovered Emmanuel TV and made up her mind to come to bring her case before God. She said that as the Mass Prayer was being offered on Monday, she had no consciousness whatsoever of what had happened. However, immediately after her deliverance, she felt renewed, refreshed and revived!

Prophet T.B. Joshua explained the circumstances faced by people like Eremi Moses. He said there are two gospels – the pure and the impure. The pure gospel is sure, and it delivers and saves people. The impure variety does however bring deliverance. Instead, it often provokes evil forces to attack us. He referred to the seven sons of Sceva for illustration. He said as a result of this, many people are going around on a dangerous mission.

CEASED MENSTRUATION RESTORED
Mrs Patricia Okoye, a Zambian, came to give testimony on how God delivered her through the Anointing Water, having experienced a ceased menstruation for seven years. According to her, she visited the “best gynaecologists”, had countless injections and gone to many pastors for prayer but without a solution. However, after watching Emmanuel TV, she was able to receive Anointing Water from a family member who had visited The SCOAN. “It was as if the menstrual cycle was waiting for the Anointing Water,” she joyously testified, stating that immediately after ministering it, blood started flowing freely! Since then, her menstrual cycle has been restored to normalcy.

 

MASS PRAYER!
Prophet Joshua said told the congregation that “Give thanks to God for the fact that your past is over. You are praying prayer, not saying words. Someone will intercede on your behalf. Whatever you hear now is prophetic. Begin to free yourself from career failure, limitations, and bondage in the name of Jesus! Whatever satan must have been using to connect us to himself – he uses weakness, limitation, shortcoming, that threatens your peace – break it in the name of Jesus”.

THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE

 

Wise Man Christopher

Wise Man Christopher, with his usual fervour, issued his message which he titled, ‘The Weapons Of Our Warfare’ to the congregation and cited many portions of the Bible to make his case clear. In his words, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but spiritual through God in pulling down every demonic stronghold. The Word, he clarified, is not on the written page of the Bible but in the lips of the believers.  As Christians, you need to fill your mind and heart with the Word to speak it.  In Matthew 4 : 1-11, Jesus gave Christians  the battle plan when He spoke directly to the devil in the wilderness. You need to learn the value of God’s Word on your lips to confront the devil victoriously. In Ephesians 6:17, the Bible tells us that those who overcome satan will be required to use the power of the spoken Word. David, in 1 Samuel 17:45 – 50 used the Word of God in his heart as a weapon to defeat Goliath. David’s first victory was therefore in the choice of the right weapon, which was the Word of God on his lips. As Christians, Jesus has given us the Word of God as a special weapon that no power of satan can withstand. Whatever your giant or mountain, you, as a Christian, can address it with the Word of God and achieve total victory. Prayer in the power of the Holy Spirit is the most formidable weapon, the wise man concluded his message.

WOMAN EFFECTUALLY DELIVERED FROM EATING HER HAIR

A week after her deliverance, Mrs Josephine Eseme Jimmy, standing beside her husband, happily gave thanks to God for her deliverance as, according to her, the urge to eat her hair had completely disappeared.  Josephine came to The SCOAN the previous Sunday for deliverance from addiction to eating her hair, including those on her head, armpits and private parts.  She said the addiction took form after she heard a voice ordering her to eat her hair. The unusual behaviour was cultivated before her marriage and had continued since then for a length of 23 years. After her confession, Josephine was delivered in the mighty name of Jesus by Prophet T.B. Joshua who told her that she was free and would not eat her hair anymore. She said that in her dream two days after the deliverance, the demon appeared to her to lure her to the old act but immediately, the man of God also appeared and the demon ran in fear. The man of God then held her and she woke from sleep. That was the end of her addiction to eating her hair.  The couple thanked the prophet one more time for being used by Jesus to bring about her deliverance. In reaction, the prophet once more established the difference between authority and power. In his words, knowing facts about Jesus does not change your relationship with Him. He however added that your reward for a relationship with Jesus is power.

SPIRITUAL HUSBAND’S HOLD RELEASED IN JESUS’ NAME

A video clip on the events of the previous Sunday service showed Wise Man Daniel as he laid hands on the congregants. A woman among them,Mrs Alberta Boakye from Ghana reacted by manifesting the spiritual husband in her.

The spirit, speaking through her, said Alberta was his wife who disobeyed her to marry an earthly husband. The spirit added that it had destroyed the husband’s ministry for that reason. The spirit also said their second child could not learn because of the punishment by the spiritual husband. She was then delivered after prayer from Wise Man Daniel. Standing by her pastor husband as she gave her testimony, Alberta revealed that she sensed the spiritual husband in her life at the age of 16 when it used to have sex with her in her dreams. The spirit had been a thorn in their marriage of ten years, causing her to inflict emotional pain on her husband all the time. Under the influence of the spirit, she became the husband and took delight in issuing orders to her husband and beating him. She was however relieved to be free after her deliverance.

In response to the prophet, Pastor Nicholas the husband chronicled all the shameful treatment his wife inflicted on him under the influence of the spiritual husband. She would wake up and ask her husband in the dead of night to clean the house and wash the dishes. When she knew it was fasting time for her husband, she would deliberately set food before him to break the fast unjustifiably. Either she would meet the husband in the church to fight and embarrass him or prevent him by force from going to church after he was ready. On such occasions, the pastor whose church had branches in other countries, would call his fellow pastors in the church to ask them to carry on as he was still ‘waiting on God’. He lost his congregation to other churches and the branches closed because of the wife’s abnormal behaviour.  A king of the community who attended his church withdrew his membership because of the wife’s behaviour. After praying for the deliverance of the pastor, Prophet T.B. Joshua assured him that he would assist him to reactivate his ministry and re-open the branches. Asked to comment on her husband’s confession, Alberta, in unmistakable remorse said, ‘I feel bad and sad’ and bemoaned satan for all that her husband had suffered in her hands. Prophet T.B. Joshua ended the episode by explaining that it was the evil spirit inside the wife that was responsible and now that she was delivered, her husband should not remind her of the past.

MAN DELIVERED FROM THE SPIRIT OF MASTURBATION

Mr Solomon Ogheneovo

A man from Delta, Nigeria, Solomon Ogheneovo by name, told the congregation of himself as a victim of the spirit of masturbation for 24 years. He thought that getting married would stop the embarrassing act but in fact, it continued. Even after marriage, he masturbated at least every day. After unsuccessful efforts, which included fasting and prayer, on his part to stop it, he finally decided to seek the face of the Lord in The SCOAN. After receiving the Anointing Water, he gathered his family and they prayed with it. That prayer, according to him, marked the end of his masturbation. He thanked God for using the prophet to bring an end to this torment in his life.

ANOINTING WATER RESTORES MENSTRUATION

Mrs Mercy Anthony

Mrs Mercy Anthony told listeners how she regained her menstruation which ceased for seven years, completely unresponsive to her efforts to reactivate it.  She said a good Samaritan gave her a virtually empty bottle of the Anointing Water which she topped with water, prayed with and ministered on herself. Following that, her menstruation miraculously reappeared. She ended her testimony by advising all her listeners to trust God who has an answer to whatever problems they might have.

ANOINTING WATER RESTORES MEMORY AND FETCHES PROMOTION

Rahamat Yusuf Suleiman had an accident in April which, among other injuries, affected her memory. This affected her reading and preparation for her promotion examination in her workplace. The result was that she failed the examination and was denied promotion. After efforts elsewhere to find a cure had failed, she sent a friend to The SCOAN for the Anointing Water.

  On receiving the Anointing Water, she prayed with it and sprayed it on herself, particularly her forehead. Soon after, to her amazement, she vomited an earthworm. The Anointing Water gave her total healing and following her prayer with it before going for another promotion examination in her workplace, she found the questions the same as the ones she had read, making her pass the examination with ease. As she gave her testimony, Rahamat displayed her promotion letter which was the outcome of her success in the examination.  Rahamat advised her listeners to go to the Lord always for a solution to their problems.

CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR THE AGED, DISABLED AND CHILDREN WORLDWIDE

The Emmanuel TV Team and Partners as usual filled trailers with gifts of rice, flour and other food items and transported them to the elderly and physically challenged both within Nigeria and internationally.

Two of the many states in Nigeria that were visited by The Emmanuel TV Team were Yobe and Borno in the far north of the country. The team set off with two trailers each filled to capacity with rice and flour, in addition to cash gifts. The venue for the meeting with the Emmanuel TV  Team was General Hospital Leprosy Centre, Maiduguri. People gathered from all around Borno State to attend the meeting.

The team sent by T.B. Joshua presented the community leaders with cash gifts and the bags of rice were distributed among everyone, regardless of race, faith or background. The Bible teaches us that we should love our neighbours as ourselves. In the same vein, various gifts were also dispatched to the needy and elderly people in Kremenchuk, Ukraine. In the Asian continent, Lahore, Pakistan was also visited with bags of rice, flour and other gift items.

FINANCIAL AID TO VISUALLY IMPAIRED STUDENTS

In the course of the service, five visually impaired students from the University of Jos were led to the platform where they narrated their financial problems as students, one after another.

Yakubu, a student of Special Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, was the first to bare his mind about his financial needs as a student and concluded that he needed the sum of N92,000.00 to pay his school fees and solve other problems as a student.  The rest, in turn, also spoke, explaining that as students, even the money to release their results was hard to come by. Upon listening to their complaint, the prophet directed that their needs be met. Consequently, a total sum of N284,300.00 and bags of rice were disbursed among them.

Praying in the power of the Holy Spirit, Prophet T.B. Joshua led the congregation and viewers worldwide in a powerful time of mass prayer. Many vomited the poisons long buried in their systems, thus receiving their freedom. The prophet prayed for the total release of his listeners in many areas of their lives, including their finances, businesses, marital lives among others. He also prayed for the restoration of their destinies and health. In the course of the mass prayer, the prophet issued prophecies to some people who, in reaction came forward to confirm the prophecies. Confirming that the entire congregation had been delivered and was free, the prophet proceeded to say the grace and bring the service to a close.

THE MANY MEDIA OF DISLODGING SATAN

TESTIMONIES BROKEN HOMES AND RECONCILIATION
The service was filled with interesting testimonies like other Sunday services in the past. A very interesting incident was recorded in the Monday service of January 24th when, in a prophecy, one of the congregants was told that the lady he came to the Church with and who assumed the role of wife for him was not actually his wife.

When he admitted that the woman, Mrs Ifeoma, was his friend’s wife, the man of God asked him to go home and bring his own wife but advised Mrs Ifeoma to stay back as her husband would be invited to the Church. Meanwhile, Mr Ifeoma was watching the incident on Emmanuel Television in Cotonou. As arranged, the prophet sent for the real husband of Mrs Ifeoma and he came. He is a 35 year old man with no visible means of livelihood. According to his wife, Mrs Ifeoma, they are Nigerians from Umuahia in Abia State but currently resident in Cotonou. As a man without a job, he had received financial help from the friend, Mr Livinus who brought his wife to the Church. It was possibly those gestures of assistance that brought him close to Mrs Ifeoma. As the prophet revealed, it was Mrs Ifeoma that lured him into the illicit relationship. In their privacy, the prophet talked very much to the man whose wife came with another man before he agreed to forgive his wife and his friend. Before the congregation Mr Livinus cried and said that his poverty was the cause of his woe and wondered aloud whether he could ever forgive his wife and the man. In tears, the wife asked him for forgiveness. Narrating his plight to the prophet and the congregation, he said his family had been suffering because of his joblessness.

The couple and their five kids hardly had a place to lay their heads and the children were out of school. They depended on charity for living. He concluded by appealing to the prophet for help. Asked again whether he would forgive his wife and friend, he hesitantly agreed but added that forgiving them would be easier if the prophet assisted him. This generated laughter across the entire Church. The prophet reminded him that he was lucky that it was a friend who did this to him but not somebody that could want him dead and have the wife after that. Thereafter, the prophet said he was ready to give him and his family a two bedroom flat, a job for the man, scholarship for his children and the sum of N300,000 for his wife, a hairdresser, to start some trade. Some other congregants also expressed a wish to give him money for the upkeep of his family. The prophet’s gesture of kindness means he will move his family from Cotonou to Lagos. The couple were very elated at the generosity of the prophet and knelt down for a long time thanking him. The woman was delivered from the spirit of lust.

The man of God thereafter went into a long speech about the various crises families face and advised them to always watch and pray. The beginner, he says, is not the owner but the finisher. He said of the family in question that if God were not involved in their problem, they would not find their way to the Church.
God wanted to put an end to the illicit relationship between Mrs Ifeoma and the man. It was Mrs Ifeoma that lured the man into the relationship with her evil spirit. Speaking about the number of children they already have in the marriage, the prophet cautioned them to exercise control as marriage is more for companionship than anything else.
The prophet never brought the other couple out but planned that they would be delivered in the prayer line.

DAUGHTER SPRINKLES WITCHCRAFT IN HER FAMILY
The Okechukwu family of six children and the parents came out to narrate to the bewildered congregation how one of the daughters, initiated into witchcraft in the school, brought the evil spirit to the family and relayed it from one child to the other. She gave the witchcraft to her younger sister who, in turn, gave it to their brother, who thereafter went into unrestrained incest with her. The brother, Emmanuel became initiated after eating a bun given to him by his sister and caught the spirit of lust. He had been much feared by the other siblings because of his habitual aggressiveness. The bun was given to her by her friend to eat and she then gave it to Emmanuel, her brother as a way of gaining control over him. The rest of the children also got the witchcraft relayed to them. The eldest girl told her listeners how the schoolmate who gave her the bun came to her in the home and both disappeared into the forest. After advising her to hate her parents, the girl also gave her something like blood to drink and she became abnormal, seeing dead people who laughed at her.
After blaming the father for not effectively controlling his children, the prophet delivered the family. The father was also delivered of a sickness which had disturbed him for some time.

HUSBAND ACCUSES WIFE OF WITCHCRAFT

Mr Achukwu mounted the platform with his wife and their pregnant daughter and accused the wife of witchcraft. He said that the only son, among the nine children they have, died adding that the woman was the cause. The boy he chose to adopt also died after two months. He said their children were like men facially but had the female organ to mean that the wife changed them from males to females to deprive the husband of male children. Asked how else he knew that his wife was a witch, the man said the wife could stay stiff for over twelve hours, though breathing, only to activate herself later. In her defence, the wife said she was not a witch and that people had told her that her husband was a cultist but she did not believe them. She also added that in his desperation for a male child, he met a widow who bore a male child for him but he could not claim the male child as their culture did not allow that. The prophet exonerated each of witchcraft or cultism saying that the devil just wanted to destroy the family and he delivered them.

STELLA ANTHONY HEALED OF ULCER IN THE PRAYER LINE
As the prophet and the wise men were about going to the prayer line, the prophet asked the cameraman to display on the screen those waiting for healing and deliverance. Many of those displayed were victims of ulcer in various putrid stages. Taking the case of Stella for illustration, the prophet revealed how she came to The SCOAN prayer line with one foot seriously attacked by ulcer which caused decay in the leg. The leg, putrid and filled with puss, sent out abominable stench. The woman had been to many hospitals for cure but without a solution. It was at this stage that she came for prayer line and Wiseman Harry prayed for her. Today, Stella is completely healed and she came out from the congregation to confirm her healing in a testimony.

HEALED OF MENTAL DISORDER THROUGH WRISTBAND
After many unsuccessful attempts in various hospitals to get his wife cured of mental disorder, Mr James discharged her from a Kaduna hospital and flew her to The SCOAN for God’s attention. Arriving in The SCOAN late on Thursday, they could not be screened for the prayer line. However, some good brothers who saw the wife in her terrible condition took pity on her and surrendered two Wristbands to her. Wearing one on her wrist and the other on her foot, she immediately felt the power of God. She sensed unusual churning in her stomach and she soon started to vomit. She regained normalcy of behaviour after the vomiting. The nightmares and sighting of dead people which characterized her dreams stopped and she now sleeps like a day old baby. Even without seeing the prophet, Mrs Esther James regained sanity within seconds of arrival in The SCOAN to tell the listening world that wherever God is involved, healing is like breathing. In her testimony she recalled the efforts of her husband to have her cured in the past and the miraculous healing she got in The Synagogue, thanking everybody and God for the wonderful healing.

ANOINTING WATER BREAKS DEBRA’S BARRENNESS
For thirteen years, the Debra family have been in the grip of barrenness in their marriage as the wife’s tube was said to be blocked and the man had low sperm count. Their way to parenthood opened when a friend of theirs fetched the Anointing Water from The SCOAN for them. Praying over the Anointing Water as required, they administered it to themselves before meeting as husband and wife. That very month, the wife, Janet became pregnant as confirmed by scan. The family flew from their home in Ghana to give their testimony. In her testimony, Janet thanked God for making them meet His anointed servant, Prophet T. B. Joshua to dislodge barrenness from their union and put it in the past.

WRISTBAND RESTORES LAWRENCE’S HEARING
Mr Lawrence Oheri is a Nigerian from Imo State living in Gabon. For quite some time, he had had the problem of hearing which brought him to The SCOAN after all efforts to regain hearing elsewhere failed. Collecting the Anointing Wristband and wearing it after prayer, he went to bed as usual. Waking up at 5.30 am, he noticed some water from his ears in his pillow. Thanks to the Lord, his clogged ear had opened and water was draining out of it by the power of the Holy Spirit through the agency of the Wristband. We thank God for this miraculous healing.

ANOINTING WATER STOPS SMOKING HABIT

Chief Daniel Adumah of Anambra State described himself as a chain-smoker who had regaled himself in various brands of cigarette for 46 years. As his son and wife came to The SCOAN for prayer, he asked them to fetch him the Anointing Water which they did. After praying over the Anointing Water, he drank it and sensed its cooling effect in his heart, lungs and other parts of the body. He also noticed that the long experienced pain in the lungs was no more. The long term effect is that the urge for smoking in him has vanished and he avoids smoking and smokers after 46 years of friendship with cigarette.

20 YEARS BLEEDING ROOTED OUT BY WRISTBAND
Mrs Tientcheu Charlotte had for twenty years had a fibroid problem which caused her to bleed all that time. ANOINTING WRISTBAND DISLODGES EMMANUEL FROM CAGE OF POVERTY
Emmanuel Peter had for six years been caged and always saw himself as such in his dreams. The reality of the matter was that he never saw any progress in his life in spite of his efforts. It was for this reason that he collected the Anointing Wristband and wore it. The night he wore it, he still saw himself in a cage and he appealed to two ladies for help but these refused to offer him any help. He then saw some men who took him to a shrine. There, in the shrine, a lady drew his attention to the Anointing Wristband on his wrist. He looked at the Wristband and saw fire in it. As if this look reminded the Wristband of its role, the fire in it fell the lady at the same time burning a prowling cobra and the shrine to ashes to usher Emmanuel into freedom from the cage.

MASS PRAYER FREES WIFE FROM MARINE HUSBAND
Of all the unusual incidents in the mass prayer, that of a woman who came from Lokoja to worship in the SCOAN deserves mentioning because of the helplessness and suffering many men experience in the hands of spiritual husbands. Indisputably, many men are attracted by beauty in women as they seek the hand of one in marriage. Unfortunately in most cases, such beautiful women cannot deliver the joy of marriage to their husbands because of their unholy alliance with spiritual husbands to whom they give all their love. These spiritual beings go beyond borders to enjoy marital union on earth with human beings. In the case of the woman from Lokoja, she was doubly married to a spiritual husband and her earthly husband in Lokoja. The earthly husband had taken her to places in the hope of delivering her from barrenness here on earth. Meanwhile, she said she had two boys for her spiritual husband and even though she also knew very well that her husband’s efforts to have children by her were in vain, she accompanied this husband to any place of his choice in search for their not-to-be-gotten child. Meanwhile, she loves the spiritual husband as much as she hates the earthly husband in Lokoja who does everything for her to ensure her comfort on earth. She pays the earthly husband with suffering and hatred.
Fearing that she would be caught by the wise men, she avoided going for prayer line. However, in course of the mass prayer with all the pervading anointing, the spiritual husband helplessly disassociated himself from her and asked her to surrender. It was at that stage that she started crying for deliverance and saying all the facts here. After the deliverance, she recalled and regretted her wickedness to her earthly husband from whom she had withheld her love and refused to bear children.

REVEALING GOD’S POWER

Addressing the assembly in the lull of the adoration music, Prophet T. B. Joshua underscored the fact that our fight is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and demons of all authorities and rankings. As our fight is targeted at demons and principalities, it is not easy to determine our closing time in the Sunday service. In our case, we react proactively to the attack of the devil as and when observed. Demons attack mankind everywhere and every time and we must react as enjoined in Mark 16:17 where God says, in my name you shall cast out all demons. Opening his message with a series of rhetorical questions,
Wise Man Racine enjoined the assembly to be vigilant if they were not to be caught napping when the Lord would arrive. Are you prepared for the coming of the Lord, Jesus Christ? How prepared are you to receive Him? Where will He find you when He comes? He advised the church to wake up. He reminded the congregation that what we see on a daily basis on the street are demons at work in various ways and manners. Demons use able-bodied men to perpetrate atrocities of various descriptions and dimensions against their fellow men as orchestrated by the devil whose pre-occupation is to distract mankind from his Creator, God. Demon’s purpose is to distract man from God. There is an unending war between eternity and things which are intrinsically temporal in nature. A war between Christ and evil which is also the war between the Spirit and flesh is unending, according to him. This he maintained would lead to the topic of his message which is:
THE BATTLE OF THE AGES
Ours is a fight with enemies that we can’t see. He referred the congregation to 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. The weapons of warfare are not carnal, for ours are enemies without flesh. The first place to be victorious is in our mind, he emphasised. It is a war between knowledge and ignorance. He enjoined the congregation to find security in God’s hands. It is in God’s hands that we have victory and blessing. Freedom from fear is in God’s hands. If God is with you, who can be against you? He further reminded the congregation of the Lord’s promise to set a table before you in the presence of your enemies. He advised his listeners to look up to the Lord for eternal victory. Jesus’ victory is a supernatural victory and we should rise up in heart and mind for things above. Our victory is past victory as Jesus, by His victory over the devil, has conquered the world for us. He gave biblical backing to his point by asking the church to open Matthew 4:3 for the Lord’s temptation. The devil tempted Jesus with bread because he knew that after His forty days of fasting and praying, He must be hungry. The devil tempted Jesus to put on a sensational display of power. Jesus, though had all the power, presumed upon the Holy Spirit. This teaches us that the power given to us is not to be exercised at our own will but at the will of God.

BROKEN HOMES AND RECONCILIATION
Mounting the altar in succession to the Wise Man, Prophet T.B. Joshua x-rayed the various problems challenging the unity in many families today. In many cases, he went on, families don’t go together to church because there isn’t unity enough in the family to justify that. Even in the same church, husband and wife sit far apart to be comfortable. All this, he maintained, is the work of the devil. The nature of the man’s job could be a source of disunity as wife and children will not be happy to wake up at 4am for family prayer to enable the man to go to work early. So, when there is unity on the outside, there might be disunity on the inside. Many of your children might not accept your faith but would embrace your money.

A HOUSE ON FIRE
The man of God directed that the video clip on a prophecy relating to the Nworah family be visited. The clip revealed the psychological turmoil in the mind of Mrs Rose Nworah following a strange phone number she discovered in her husband’s phone. Dialling the phone number in suspicion and anxiety, Mrs Rose Nworah received the shocking news told, with utmost disdain, by a girl her husband nicknamed Baby-Baby. The girl in question had been regaling herself in an illegal sexual relationship with her husband. As Baby-Baby herself put it, in reaction to Mrs Nworah’s phone call, “I have been enjoying your husband for quite some time and in fact, I am now pregnant for him.” What unspeakable effrontery! What a heart-shattering and mind-numbing insolence! What culpable sacrilege of cultural and biblical norms! The reality of the matter, as explained by Mrs Nworah, is that for quite some time the relationship between the couple had gone sour. The man’s amorous yearning for the woman had atrophied. Much to the chagrin of the woman, the husband never relished her meals anymore; they never slept together nor was the man interested in going out together with the wife ostensibly because of his newly discovered Baby-Baby, who incidentally hails from the same village in Anambra, Nigeria as the husband. Rose, the wife felt disadvantaged by this communal relationship between her husband and Baby-Baby as she, herself is a Ghanaian. In spite of the ethnic difference between the couple, the wife cherishes the marriage and had always jettisoned people’s negative comments and wishes about the marriage. She so loves him that she declares her affection for him to be time defiant because, as she says, her love is for ever and for ever she will love him. In his defence, Mr Uchenna Nworah acknowledged the girl as his community girl but denied putting her in a family way. Taking this as an episode for sermonising before giving his verdict, the prophet drew attention to the beauty of the woman and remarked, in confirmation of the Bible, that the battle is not necessarily for the swiftest and that is why, according to him, there are many beautiful women who, in spite of their beauty, live by prostitution in hotels today while many ugly ones are happily married. He added that beauty in the inside is more important than outward appearance. He therefore enjoined his listeners to seek deliverance in this regard. On the issue in question, the man of God declared that their marriage is from God and the so-called pregnancy claims by Baby-Baby were a mere hoax minted out to create bad blood between the couple. In total relief, the woman wore a smiling look and reiterated her yearnings to bear him all her children and love him forever. Hugging each other in their renewed matrimony, both husband and wife were delivered.

The next prophecy mentioned a woman, who in her dreams would see herself cutting the head of a goat which, on completion, would turn out to be one of her children receiving the machete cut. A few days after the dream, the affected child would fall sick and die. No sooner the prophecy was given than a woman emerged to claim the prophecy as hers because she had mysteriously lost three children in the process enunciated in the prophecy. Mrs Janet Peter from Kogi State confirmed the prophecy for herself and added that she had visited many pastors in that regard, in the hope of getting deliverance but all in futility. Developing this strand of the issue, the prophet told the church that it is hardly possible for any pastor to issue deliverance that is predicated on a dream or tale by a victim or sufferer. Deliverance, he submitted, is only possible and efficacious if the issue is revealed to the pastor by the Holy Spirit and the pastor divulges it by way of a prophecy to the person affected. Mrs Peter also disclosed her propensity to eat in dreams. The man of God assured her of deliverance. Many other prophecies, some of intriguing nature, were given and claimed by various congregants after which they were delivered and reassured of a more fruitful life in Christ. God, according to the prophet, has intended that His people should not grope in ignorance and consequently perish. He has, on the contrary, planned that a prophet should be among them. Through the prophet, God has intended to reveal essential information to them for their edification, survival and growth. However, this fact is not appreciated by many people and so, such people deride the prophets of God. The prophet is the only book after all books but which is not available in the market.

The prophet is the mind of God. He thereafter referred to a prophecy relating to Kenya which was issued the previous Sunday in the service. In the said prophecy, the prophet talked of seeing a place in Kenya where people drink and which would be attacked. It was therefore a warning sounded to those who would believe the prophet. This prophecy is confirmed in media reports that a police officer in central Kenyan town went on a shooting rampage killing ten people in different bars. The shooting spree happened late Saturday in Siakago 150 km North East of Nairobi.
The prophet went into prayer with the congregation as the Wise Men laid their hands on members of the congregation. He prayed that the light of God must shine no matter what the devil does, adding by way of more spirited prayer, that every power limiting the congregation must loose its grip.

The first fall-out from the mass prayer was a woman from Asaba, Delta State who in spiritual manifestation, confessed that she was ‘ogbanje’(an agent of satan, often born to die) and had been directed to use her powers to kill her husband. She however, according to her, would not do that because she loved her husband very much.

The second was a prophecy by the man of God in which he saw a royal father or king among the congregation wearing a charm. He therefore asked the unnamed royal father to come out into the open of his own volition. A frail- looking old man in regal attire emerged from the congregation in response to the prophecy and declared himself as the one at whom the prophecy was directed. The royal father declared his willingness to remove the charm and identify with Jesus Christ. However, in recognition of his age and regal status, the prophet never allowed him to be stripped for the charm in the public gaze. The royal father thanked God for pointing him out adding that the charm had rendered him senile and incapable of identifying any of his fifty children. He was however, told that his sickness was the result of a charm he trod on in the past.

Another prophecy was given relating to a witchdoctor who had killed seven of his children and instilled fear in the entire community leading, in some cases, to a pandemonium as the gods were on the prowl in the village. The man, as the prophecy revealed, had taken to his heels to the church to seek refuge. The witchdoctor revealed, in confirmation of the prophecy that his wife had been disabled by the same gods and might die soon if proactive reaction was not in the offing. By the action of the gods, according to the witchdoctor, they had disappointed him and he would disappoint them in retaliation by identifying himself with Christ and annihilating them. He said he inherited the gods from his fore-fathers and had built a house for them. He appealed to the man of God for deliverance so that he would survive the present threat to his life.
The man of God frowned at the old man for killing his children and also endangering the lives of the village people with the gods. As the issue unfolded, it became clear that many people in the assembly had not gone to their villages for the past ten years and more because of evil practices that witchdoctors in these villages had perpetrated on the innocent people. The man of God planned a mass prayer for such people who had been afraid to go to their villages so as to fortify them spiritually and encourage them to re-unite with their families in the village. Following the incessant plea by the witchdoctor who feared he might die if the man of God ignored him, the man of God pitied him and promised to deliver him for the Lord. Earlier, the prophet had intimated to him that he had not included some of his most powerful gods in the train of gods he displayed. The man of God mentioned some snakes and tortoises that constituted some of the most dangerous gods he had. The witchdoctor confessed that those ones were too dangerous for him to toy with.
The Sunday service had too much in package in form of deliverance and healing for one day and so a continuation service was arranged for the following day, Monday 8th November, 2010 beginning at 12 noon.
