THE SECRET OF FAITH

In a message that was briefly started during the live Saturday service and firmly continued during the Sunday Service, Prophet T.B. Joshua unveiled, in his own words, ‘The Secret Of Faith.’ In the message, he said, “Jesus Christ is the surety of every Word from Matthew 1 to Revelation 22. No Word from God is void of fulfilment for God watches over His Word to perform it. If any Scripture should go by default, Jesus becomes responsible.”

Speaking of the bold confidence a believer has to approach the throne of grace in prayers and supplication, he added, “When you know that the Lord is on your side, your heart becomes quiet. You look up into His face and whisper your request and you know it is going to be granted because it is your Father who is on the throne, it is your Lord who is seated by His side.”

He concluded that faith was not abstract as it could be practiced and told the congregation that despite the challenges life would throw at them, faith was there for them through it all. “In your challenges in life, faith is there for you,” he said. A time of testimonies, mostly concerning the Anointing Water, preceded the powerful message.

 

URINATION WITHOUT OPERATION

Mr Austin Uba, from Imo State, Nigeria came to the church with his wife, Rose and son, Kinsgley to thank God for His wonderful work in his life. He had suffered from a urinary tract blockage, such that he was unable to urinate for a painful period of months. He was referred to India for an operation, by a doctor who had given him a catheter to enable him to pass urine. However, he was told the operation, if conducted, would only have a 50/50 chance of success and there was a high probability that he may not be functional as a man thereafter. Having seen God’s power in action on Emmanuel TV, he decided to come to The SCOAN for healing. After receiving the Anointing Water, he prayed and sprayed it on the affected area as well as in his mouth.

Merely hours later in his hotel room, Mr Uba, to his greatest surprise and delight passed his urine normally without the use of the catheter! Upon returning to the hospital, the doctor said he no longer needed an operation as he was already healed. Mr Uba encouraged people to look up to God and counselled them that He could do for them what He had done for him.

A COCKTAIL OF DRUGS AND DESTRUCTION
Mr Raphael Kpogli from Ghana had been a drug seller, smoker and addict for some 30 years, dealing specifically in heroin, Indian hemp (marijuana) and cocaine, while living a life of recklessness, waste and violence. In a shocking account of the debilitating and destiny-decaying effects of drug addiction, he narrated his sordid life experiences. He literally had to smoke a ‘cocktail’ of these drugs before going to bed, talking communicably with people or even eating, his wife and children always afraid of him at home due to his erratic nature. Having travelled to over six countries as a drug dealer, he acknowledged that although he never used a gun, he had caused multiple deaths by introducing drugs to people. His insatiable lust for this ‘cocktail’ of chaos crippled him financially as he sold cars, properties and even stole his wife’s clothes and jewelleries to sell to pay for his indulgence. A once thriving and intelligent man was reduced to a nervous and hate-filled wreck, staying in a single room in a house for months on end and only emerging to purchase more of the poison that was slowly crippling and killing him.

However, his wife, whom never doubted that one day God would turn her husband around, kept praying for his life to change and stood by him through thick and thin. When a few drops at the bottom of a bottle of Anointing Water were given to the Kpogli’s, Mr Raphael had no idea that within them contained the freedom he so sorely needed. After ministering the Anointing Water, Mr Kpogli said he felt a cold sensation envelop his body, as if a wave of liquid love was cascading through his entire system and reverberating within to eject all dependency on drugs and the darkness that embodied them. Mr Kpogli, who was about to embark on a rare journey to Accra, was worried at how he would complete the journey without taking the drugs. However, after many hours of travelling without even a thought of the substance, he realised that all previous craving for the drugs had disappeared. He tucked into a hearty meal and completed it, the first meal he had finished without taking drugs in 30 years. After three weeks of a drug-free life, he travelled to The SCOAN to share this life-changing testimony, exhorting friends who were still in the same business to abandon a life fuelled and filled by drugs which had reduced most of them to criminality. He said people must depend on God to be released from their plagues and a life of uncertainty.

TUTORSHIP FROM ABOVE

Miss Taffy Mukombami came all the way from Ireland to share her remarkable testimony. The Zimbabwean student explained that she had been both stressed and depressed because of the challenges she had faced to gain citizenship in Ireland. However, after discovering Emmanuel TV, her situation changed drastically. After being opportune to receive the Anointing Water, she prayerfully sprayed it on her application form for citizenship and sent it off. To her greatest surprise, a couple of months later, her residency was granted, something that some people had been waiting years to receive!

Aside from this, Taffy had also been facing difficulties with her Master of Arts Programme and almost took a year off due to the tremendous stress and pressure. However, at the verge of giving up, she saw Prophet T.B Joshua appear in her dream, take her to the library and show her the books she needed to study to perform excellently in her academic pursuits. Upon waking up, she was shocked to discover that the books he had divinely pointed out to her were exactly what she had been looking for. After the submission of her thesis, which she proudly showed the congregation, she explained that her results were suggestive of her obtaining a First Class a result, an achievement she knows is a product of Divine providence.

BARRENNESS EXPELLED
After being barren for nine long years, Mr and Mrs Ebong Victory came to The SCOAN to share their wonderful testimony. Medically, the couple had been diagnosed as having a low sperm count. Mrs Ebong had come to The SCOAN in April 2012, got the Anointing Water and prayed with her husband. After a month of administering some, she became pregnant. She promised to come for thanksgiving soon, with her child. Her husband was obviously full of happiness as he stood close to her in church. She said people should trust in God have faith because He is the Author and Finisher of our faith.

 

In another wonderful testimony to God’s provision of fruitfulness, a video was replayed showing Prophet T.B. Joshua prophesying to a woman, asking her of a medical report and revealing that her stomach had been cut though the purpose was neither achieved nor her menstruation regular. Mr & Mrs Anvor Ely from South Africa came forward in response to the video. After many years of barrenness, Mrs Anvor had undergone an operation in her womb but the result remained unsuccessful. However, after visiting The SCOAN and receiving the prophecy from Prophet T.B. Joshua, the couple decided to trust in God for supernatural provision.

They narrated how after the prophecy, Prophet T.B. Joshua had counselled them in the office, stating that the sickness was ‘cancelled’ and giving them Anointing Water. After ministering it and continuing to trust in God, building their faith by listening to messages on Emmanuel TV, Mrs Ely became pregnant! She stood before The SCOAN congregation to testify that she was now several months pregnant, to the glory of God! Mr Ely thanked God for the inspiring messages on Emmanuel TV and exhorted viewers that Jesus has the solution to all fundamental issues of life.

POSSESSED BY PORNOGRAPHY
A video was replayed in which Prophet TB Joshua prophesied to a woman about her marriage and how the internet had played an active role in their relationship. Coming forward with her husband to confirm the prophecy, Mrs MacAlexander explained to the congregation how the prophecy was true. A Kenyan working in Nigeria, she said she had not seen her husband more than twice in two years due to his regular travels but they talked trough the internet.

They would regularly strip naked before each other on a webcam and even engage in household activities such as cooking while viewing each other’s nudity. However, both soon took to watching pornography on the internet to satisfy themselves, soon birthing an addiction that almost crippled their marriage. The few occasions they did manage to spend time together, Mrs MacAlexander explained that the couple had no affection for each other whatsoever and she had determined within to leave the marriage before the prophecy was given. Although she had a well paid job, she explained that she could not give any account of how she spent the money, adding that after she had started viewing pornography, she began to sleep with a strange man in her dreams.

Her husband, Alexander, from Imo State, Nigeria, reiterated what his wife had said. They had met in Nairobi, Kenya five years ago but had barely spent months together as he was a regular traveller. After talking on the internet, he also had resorted to masturbation and pornography, too. He explained he began to have harrowing dreams of sleeping with a strange woman and finding himself in a cemetery with dead people. Career wise, despite connections and experience as a music producer, he found himself in a cycle of disappointment and missed opportunities.

Prophet TB Joshua spoke on the tortuous nature of pornography, a sin he stated was even worse than fornication. He said up to 70% of the world populace struggled with pornography, specifying that the youth in particular were affected. Following their confession, TB Joshua assured the couple that deliverance, restoration and reconciliation would follow and they would not leave The SCOAN unless they were completely free.

FROM CHURCH-BOY TO CULT-LEADER
A video was replayed in which a young man manifested after prayer from Wise Man Racine at The SCOAN prayer line and the spirit spoke through him that it was a strong man which has been in him since birth. Chinedu Anagor and his parents came forward following the clip to share their experiences. Chinedu, a graduate of music from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, was an obedient, trustworthy and churchgoing young man before his entrance into university. However, influence from bad friends and a desire to feel part of the ‘crowd’ led the intelligent student to delve into the dark arrays of cultism, as he was initiated into the ‘Buccaneers’. Confessing that his parents were hearing this for the first time, Chinedu explained how he displayed a different attitude at home while growing steadily deeper into cultism and its attendant diabolic activities at school.

His roles in the cult graduated to include initiating other students, consulting oracles on the cult’s behalf and acting as a bodyguard to the cult leader – all high ranking positions. With little concentration on his academic career, Chinedu ended up spending 10 years in university before graduating, deceiving his parents that he had completed his course whereas actually he hadn’t. He confessed to the fact that he raped girls, caused violence and threatened people, though maintaining a pretence of calmness and coolness to the casual onlooker. Through God’s influence, he was finally delivered at The SCOAN, after which he began to genuinely regret his past actions for the first time. Falling to his knees in tears, he begged T.B. Joshua to assist him to apologise to his parents for his disrespect and lifestyle of lies and deceit. Shedding tears, his aged father embraced his son, as the congregation looked on, many themselves wiping tears from their eyes at the touching reconciliation and incredible change in the life of Chinedu through the deliverance. Prophet T.B. Joshua counselled parents to learn a lesson from Chinedu’s experience and ensure their children are regularly in the house of God.

ABILITY IN DISABILITY

One of the events of the day was the giving of scholarships to various physically challenged students who are part of The SCOAN Scholarship Scheme. The students were given different sums of money according to their various scholastic needs, totalling N3 million. They included the blind, crippled, deformed and amputees. One of the spokespersons of the group, Olurundere Adenike, said she had no support for education, and when admitted to the University of Lagos, she had dropped out for lack of funds. However, she eventually gained admission to the University of Ibadan to read Languages and English, requesting assistance from Prophet T.B. Joshua and Emmanuel TV Partners to pursue her academic dreams of excellence. Also, Emmanuel Aderemi, a student of Political Science, University of Lagos, also spoke on the uniqueness of the opportunity given them to be part of the Scholarship program.

 

The service was concluded in a fiery Mass Prayer in which the finger of God Almighty manifested mightily among the congregants. As the Prophet remarked, what a God we have to worship, what a son we have to praise and what a future lies before us. To those whose lives are centred in Christ Jesus, better is not good enough; the best is yet to come.

THE COMPANY YOU KEEP
Wise Man Harry gave a challenging message, titled, The Company You Keep. He started off by talking about the situation in the world today. He said, “When you look around the world today,   no one wants to be a failure in life; everyone wants to succeed. Yet, many find themselves in the realm of failure. When we talk of success, we need to understand that success is a collection of relationships. No one can go it all alone. We need good people, informed people and inspired people to make it in our respective callings.” He then reminded us that there are four classes of people in our lives today. Those who: add, multiply, subtract and divide. Quoting Proverbs 13:20, “He who walks with the wise grows wise but a companion of fools suffers harm” he stated that we are what we are by virtue of the company we keep. He warned that we should be careful in our relationships and not too quick to trust others just because they look and sound good on the outside. Many people want to be your friend only when it is convenient for them. Others will sit at your table as long as things are going well but would not stand by you when your situation takes a turn for the worse. Therefore, when you make friends, don’t be too quick to trust them until they have proved themselves.

The wise man led the congregation in a prayer, saying, “Lord Jesus, guide me and grant me wisdom to know who I should turn to as a partner/ friend/ companion. Lord Jesus, I know I cannot do it without others. I cannot do it alone. I need good, inspired, informed people. Thank you for answering my prayer, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

He concluded his message by stating that Jesus is the most reliable companion. “Are you still looking for a companion? If you need a companion, Jesus Christ is the most reliable One. Whom can we trust? Trust in yourself, you are doomed to disappointment. Trust in your friends, they will die and leave you. Trust in Jesus Christ and you will never be confounded in time or eternity.”

 

T.B. Joshua came out to speak to the congregation and the viewers worldwide. “This is a prophetic word for you. I have been able to overcome my past by focusing on my gift and its possibilities. You have created me for a purpose; Help me, Lord to find those who need me the most, in Jesus Christ’s name. You are saved to save others, healed to heal others; you are blessed to bless others.”

He then introduced the time for testimonies, saying, “There’s no way that we can begin to ask God for bread without thanking God for the bread He has given us yesterday”.

DELIVERED FROM DRUG ADDICTION

Victoria Alexander Zandy from Kaduna testified to her deliverance from a drug addiction for 18 long, horrible years. She said that from the age of 16, she had been taking drugs – cocaine, heroin, marijuana – and that this had enslaved her. She described the drugs as her boyfriend, husband, job and life. She said that anytime she received any money at all, the first thing she would do is get more substances to satisfy her craving. This addiction to drugs had made her lean, sick and unable to function as any normal person would. She had found herself in an endless cycle of life that appeared to have no end. She was on a downhill slope and was gaining speed on her downward journey before miraculously Jesus Christ rescued her and gave her a firm place to stand through the medium of the Anointing Water. She described how she had come to her last bus stop and came to The SCOAN in a desperate last attempt for deliverance before ending her life. When she had come to The SCOAN, TB Joshua had given her the Anointing Water. Her sister ministered the Anointing Water on her and thereafter, she knew she was a completely different person. The urge to take drugs was no longer there. She was able to reason well and she saw herself clearly for the first time in many years. Unable to contain her joy, she rushed back to The SCOAN to testify to God’s mercy, goodness and grace in her life. She concluded by thanking God for giving her another chance in life. She advised all those listening to be careful of drugs as they are a trap of satan.

 

QUEEN OF ALL QUEENS CONQUERED

Rita Ignatius, resident in Gabon testified of the mighty deliverance she had received through the prayer of Wise Man Daniel in Jesus’ name.  She explained that she had been possessed with an evil spirit known as ‘queen of all queens’ for many years. This spirit had afflicted her life with a severe spirit of anger which made life very difficult for her and her husband. Each time he wanted to go to church, the evil spirit in her would manifest and she would try and prevent him from going. They went to many places in search of deliverance even where even in one church, the evil spirit in her manifested so violently that she started to beat the pastor. Testifying, Mrs Rita Ignatius explained that that morning, she had come to The SCOAN Church Service just to worship but little did she know what would happen when Wise Man Daniel prayed for her. At just one touch from the wise man, the darkness in her was exposed and a mighty deliverance took place. Thanking God for her freedom, she said that she was now calm and at peace.

 

CEASED MENSTRUATION RETURNS IMMEDIATELY AFTER DELIVERANCE

Mujidat Bankole, a Nigerian living in Paris, France testified to her deliverance after prayer from Wise Man John Chi during the service the week before. The spiritual husband that had entered her life since she was young had tormented her life and also caused her menstruation to cease. At just one touch from Wise Man John Chi, the evil spirit was exposed and manifested violently. After her deliverance, not only was she delivered from the spiritual husband but the following day, her menstruation miraculously reappeared!

NO MORE NIGHTMARES

Mrs Chigoozirim Offorkee from Anamabra, Nigeria told how she was delivered from a marine spirit that had possessed her since birth. Showing the occultic marks that had been placed on her palms, she explained that a spiritualist had instructed her to carry out sacrifices in the River Niger each year. The demonic bond was so strong over her life that if ever she failed to do the sacrifice, she would encounter terrible problems and opposition. She came to The SCOAN and Wise Man Harry prayed for her in Jesus’ name. The evil spirit in her started to manifest and was cast out in the power of the Holy Spirit. A week after her deliverance, Mrs Chigoozirim Offorkee, now full of joy, told how she no longer experienced nightmares or evil attacks.

STRANGE ADDICTIONS BROKEN THROUGH POWER OF GOD IN ANOINTING WATER

What followed was the deliverance of five women who had travelled from their respective countries, all eager to break the hold that strange addictions had over them.

First to speak was Miss Barulaganye Ditsele, a mining accounts clerk from Botswana who had been addicted to eating ant hill soil for 11 years. The addiction had now spread to her three sisters and dominated her life. When she woke up in the morning, the first things she craved was the ant hill soil which she would eat more than normal food. Unable to go anywhere without the soil, she took it out of her bag and began to eat it, exclaiming that it tasted like chocolate!  

Next to speak was Mrs Emely Mpofu from Zimbabwe who suffered from a similar addiction to eating anthill soil, this time for 17 years. Her sister also had this addiction and when she died, Emely started eating double the amount of the anthill soil. Explaining that she would eat the soil after each meal, Mrs Emely took the soil and began to eat it in the presence of the congregation of The SCOAN.

The following to address her issue was Miss Consolata Thomas, a teacher from Tanzania who told of her 14 year addiction to eating uncooked rice. This habit had started in boarding school when she used to take the uncooked rice from the store to the kitchen. As a hungry little girl, she explained how she had heard a voice telling her to eat the uncooked rice. The moment she did, she became hooked and it became a part of her life. To have the uncooked rice with her was so essential that even if she ran out of it at school, she would give the students an assignment and quickly get some more to eat.

Next was the case of Mrs Tebogo Motlamme from Botswana who had come to The SCOAN for deliverance from a 23 year addiction to eating anthill soil. This addiction which had affected her blood pressure and menstrual cycle dominated her life as she enjoyed the soil more than ordinary food and could not go anywhere without it.

Finally, Miss Bonsu Charlotte Serwaa from Ghana explained how she had been addicted to eating ice cubes for 11 years. Eating them in the presence of the man of God and the congregation, she asserted that they didn’t taste cold but rather very satisfying.

 

After listening to those with strange eating addictions, the man of God promptly asked someone with the Anointing Water to come forward. He then instructed the man that came forward to minister the Anointing Water to them all in Jesus’ name, saying that, “Something is there – a force; God is behind that force for its accomplishment.”

At just one spray of the Anointing Water in Jesus’ name, the demonic influence in these ladies’ lives was broken and they were set free. After their deliverance, the prophet said, “Let us see whether the old man is gone. If the old man is gone, that thing they were eating, they will no longer eat it.”

Sure enough, when offered the anthill soil, uncooked rice and ice cubes, one by one, they spat it out saying that they no longer enjoyed it and did not regard it as food anymore. 

With histories rewritten and cycles of limitation broken, the congregation left the auditorium and viewers turned off their televisions after another spectacular service day at The SCOAN.

FAITH ACTS IN CONCERT

Prophet T.B. Joshua

Working hand in hand with the choir, Prophet T. B. Joshua proceeded to give the sermon, taking advantage of the short break by the choir. He entitled the message, Faith Acts In Concert. He referred the congregation to Romans 10:1-17. After the reading, the man of God asserted that there were two natures in a person and that the just would live by faith. Faith, according to him, acts in concert with other spiritual forces to accomplish the purpose of God. He cited holiness, consecration, judgment, evangelism and the love of God as some of the other spiritual forces that team with faith to develop man spiritually. He however hinted that some people seem to choose a few words and live by them. They want to pick out healing and prosperity among others as their spiritual foundation. In crusades and revival gatherings, such words as prosperity, healing and deliverance are echoed to attract attendance. Such people are not eager about such other areas of the Bible as consecration, holiness, judgment, evangelism and the love of God, which work in concert with faith to develop man spiritually. Many seem merely concerned with receiving from God. We would then pray, “Give me, God; heal me…” It is true that the Word of God talks about healing and receiving but we cannot give to others until we ourselves have received something from God. In this case, we have a role to play. We cannot rely on bits and pieces from the Scriptures. Our knowledge of the Bible must be broad and holistic. We need the whole counsel of God, all the bits and pieces strung, fastened and laced together in our lives to develop into a strong spiritual man. Faith and love must work together to be effective. Sometimes, it seems that the people who preoccupy themselves with faith, talk faith, live faith, believe faith and know faith do not have much love. Where is love today among men? Many people believe that faith is the greatest quality but the Bible, in 1 Corinthians 13 :13, says the greatest is love because faith works by love. Love is the more important because it is the force that sets faith working. Your faith cannot work without love. This is why many believers cannot use their faith. Their faith is latent, dormant. What is love? Love looks around for those who are in need, the sick, the poor and all those who need help. Love is tolerant and does not criticize; love puts up with anything and is happy when others are happy. Love rejoices when others give testimony; love does not compare itself to others. It does not measure itself by itself; it is content. In a tribute to his mother whom the prophet described as a symbol of love, he told his listeners that she advised him that when he did not seem to receive or hear from God, he should look into his love walk. This is because faith without love cannot receive, bless or heal. Many can quote the Word and boast about how much they know God but they do not seem to receive; lack of love may be the cause. If you have taken God’s Word to heart and truly made it part of you, you will be blessed; you will fear no circumstances because you can do all things through Christ. Taking the Word to heart and truly making it part of you, will by its very nature, change you. Love has no time for critics. You cannot use wrong to fight wrong. We fight wrong with good. Many believers have stifled their faith by failing to show love. Failure to show love can shut down one’s spiritual walk with the Lord.

WORDS OF WISDOM

We must be careful in entering into temptation but if God allows it as a trial, we must not think it strange and doubt our Guard.

We must not think strong and tempt the devil to tempt us and provoke God to leave us to our strength.

PROPHECY
A video clip unfolded a prophecy given by the prophet in which he urged people to fast and pray on Wednesday and Thursday and read Psalm 91. He asked those travelling by air to read Psalm 91 because he could see ‘Breaking news’ about the crashing of a plane and that it would occur on Wednesday. He urged congregants to inscribe a sign of the cross on their foreheads and pray for those travelling on Wednesday all over the world. This prophecy foretold the crash of the Russian plane that was conveying an ice hockey team on Wednesday 7 September 2011. The breaking news report showed that the plane had crashed on its way to a tournament and that all but two had perished in the crash. The prophet then asked congregants and the world at large to pray for the families of those who had died.

TESTIMONIES

Mrs Emiliana Shitindi, who was delivered in the church the previous Sunday, accompanied by her husband, had come from Tanzania to the prophet to seek deliverance from the contrary spirits which made her eat charcoal. The woman and her husband appeared on the platform to confirm the addiction to charcoal and her deliverance during the previous Sunday service. The prophet added that she had been made to stay for the week so that her eating behaviour after the deliverance could be monitored. Both the woman and her husband confirmed that since the deliverance her addiction to charcoal stopped completely. They thanked God and the man of God for her deliverance from that evil spirit.

WOMAN DELIVERED SAFELY AFTER PROPHECY

A prophecy from Wise Man Daniel was then shown, as he issued a prophecy to a pregnant woman. In the prophecy, the wise man reminded the woman of a dream she had which had been frightening her ever since. The wise man told her that she had been very worried since she had the dream and that she had been thinking about operation. He dissuaded her from going for an operation, adding that if she went, she would not survive it. Thereafter, he prayed for the baby to be repositioned in the womb and told her to go home and deliver her baby boy safely without operation. At the end of the clip, a woman, Mrs Adegoke with a child in her arms, stepped out to the platform to introduce herself as the subject of the prophecy. She further confirmed the prophecy as relayed and added that while pregnant, she had a dream in which she was shown a coffin of hers and after that dream, her thought was dogged with fear until she came to The SCOAN. It was after the deliverance by Wise Man Daniel that the fearful thought vanished from her mind. She added that she later delivered a bouncing baby boy as prophesied by the wise man. The congregation praised the Lord for her safe delivery.

BOY DELIVERED FROM THE SPIRIT OF DESTRUCTION

In course of the mass prayer the previous Sunday, those who had contrary spirits began to manifest under the influence of the Holy Spirit. A ten –year –old boy among them clenched his fists and ground his teeth as he rolled on the floor. Thanks to God, he was later delivered through prayer from the prophet. After the clip was over, the boy and his parents appeared on the podium for confirmation and their testimony. The father, Pastor Joshua Musa told the congregation that they observed at a time that their son exhibited strange traits of behaviour and stubbornness. As parents, his wife and he had done all they could to have him delivered but without success. It was in the continued effort to deliver him that made them bring him to The SCOAN. Luckily for them, according to the father, their son was entrapped in the pervading anointing of the church during the mass prayer and he manifested the evil spirit in him. After deliverance by the man of God, their son had become normal, the father concluded. In his testimony, the boy, Joshua Musa revealed that he had the habit of watching cartoons from which he was infected with the spirit of lion, which he also saw in his dream. He was led to the evil kingdom in the dream where he obtained powers for his hand and teeth. The power for the hand was for stealing and destroying while that for the teeth was for biting. After his testimony, the prophet asked him to shout the name, ‘Jesus’. As soon as he did that, he fell down in total deliverance. The family of Pastor Musa then thanked God, the church and Prophet T. B. Joshua for the deliverance of their son.

MAN HEALED EFFECTUALLY OF EYE CANCER

A video clip revealed a boy whose eye had been afflicted with cancer. It was a pitiable sight to behold as the affected eye was so swollen that the entire face of the boy, Nosa Irabor by name, was disfigured in addition to the perceived pain in it. In the prayer line, the man of God stretched his hand at him and issued the words, ‘You are free’. Three weeks after that, the boy, then healed, came for his testimony. He came again to the church for the same testimony last Sunday after 13 years. This time, he came not as a boy but as a full-grown man close to 30 years. Recounting his ordeal as an adult, Mr Nosa Irabor recounted the steps he took to seek healing in the homes of witch doctors and hospitals where doctors told him that he would undergo an operation. He never got healing until that historic stretching of the arm at him by the prophet to declare him free. Thirteen years after the healing in The SCOAN, the affected eye is as normal as the unaffected one and only by story telling would one would know that the eye was once affected by cancer. Mr Irabor, like the rest before him, thanked God and the man of God for his healing.

WOMAN HEALED OF BRAIN TUMOUR WITH ANOINTING WATER

A woman, Mrs Fatima Dalhatu mounted the platform for her testimony. She narrated to her listeners how the Anointing Water had healed her of the brain tumour that had held her down for 13 years. All that time, she experienced vomiting and constant headaches as symptoms of the disease. As a patient of the dreaded disease, she had been to hospitals for cure but without success. At a stage, she was advised by her doctors to go to India for an operation. To do that, she revealed, she would need the sum of 2.7 million naira. In their dilemma, her husband brought her to The SCOAN, where they received the Anointing Water. After praying and ministering the Anointing Water, she clearly experienced total healing which was later confirmed by her doctor. She happily thanked God for using the Anointing Water to heal her.

ANOINTING WATER ENDED EIGHT YEARS OF BARRENNESS

A couple, Mr and Mrs Darlington mounted the podium to unfold the story of their deliverance from eight years of barrenness with the ministration of the Anointing Water. In their plight as a barren couple, the husband revealed, they became the object of ridicule among friends and neighbours who said they had sacrificed their children to obtain wealth. It was during a confrontation with one of the men who assaulted his wife in his absence that Mr Darlington ran into a deputy superintendent of police who, after settling the quarrel, introduced him to Prophet T. B. Joshua and the Anointing Water. The couple visited The SCOAN as a way of paying heed to the advice of the officer and received the Anointing Water. They prayed over the Anointing Water and met as a couple. At the time of the testimony, the wife was pregnant and thus closed the chapter of barrenness in their marriage. They both thanked God for using the Anointing Water to end their barrenness.

ANOINTING WATER DESECRATED SHRINE

A man, Mr Moses Nosa from Edo, Nigeria who described himself as a pastor was among those who manifested evil spirits during the mass prayer the previous Sunday. The man revealed that he acquired evil powers by reading many books including the seven books of Moses. He mounted a shrine in his house where he practised his powers and occasionally sacrificed animals to it. He founded a church, which never thrived possibly, because of his evil interests. A snake used to chase members of his church from the church and a friend attempted to help him to revive the church through evil means. Among his items of power was one he called the spirit of echo. Even though he used his powers to make money from those who visited him for help, he found that the money left him even poorer and more miserable than before.

At the end of the service, the man of God gave him the Anointing Water to spray at his temple at home to dispossess it of all its powers. The prophet then asked him to hold some of the items he had brought from his shrine as he was about to deliver him. Mr Nosa held the echo, a garment and the seven books of Moses and the prophet delivered him in the name of Jesus.

Emmanuel TV Testimony: Delivered From Drunkenness

Here is the first in a series of life-changing testimonies we want to bring to our readers, to strengthen your faith and encourage you in your relationship with God. Life was literally hellish for Maria Chisanga, her volatile husband dealing her verbal and physical abuse again in a fit of drunken madness. Their marriage had not started on such a chaotic note, but alcohol had slowly consumed, overtaken and destroyed him. Alex was not the man she first met. For the young Zambian couple, already with two kids, the situation was dire and the marriage at the point of breaking beyond repair. “I don’t know whether it was due to the money I started having,” Alex reminisced. “But the moment we had our second kid, problems started coming and I started drinking. I was going out every night with friends and they influenced me to drink. From that time, things started to go downhill. The deeper it went, the worse life became and I started drinking badly. It was uncontrollable.”

As the alcohol clouded his judgement and veiled his values, Alex started going regularly outside his marital home, eloping with different women on various occasions, including the younger sister of Maria’s closest friend. He had three children outside wedlock. “Eventually I ran away from my house, with my wife crying bitterly. They went to my father and different pastors – still they couldn’t stop me. You know, when you are carried away – you are gone.” Alex left his house in disarray, with his five children from Maria becoming virtually fatherless. “I was still financially supporting my wife, but soon stopped because I was with other women. That’s when I moved completely to Botswana and forgot taking care of her and the children completely.”

Each attempted return to reconcile resulted in more strife and fight. Maria eventually made the decision to leave the marriage and return to her hometown. “When my husband started drinking, it was horrible,” Maria soberly stated. “It was a time of crying, a time of crises, a very hard time for me. We were fighting and shouting at each other every day. He was beating me any time he felt like it. My children were so much affected by the drinking of their father. They came to the point of telling me, ‘Mummy – if you can leave this man, I think it would be better for you – because this man is beating you and bringing so many problems in our lives today.’ Even paying their school fees was a problem. Eating was a problem. He was beating me so much, and I got tired. I prayed and prayed until I got tired and decided to leave the marriage.”

If anyone is in a position to explain the devastating and destructive effect of alcohol abuse, it is Alex Chisanga. With turmoil throughout his home and life, Alex turned to extreme drinking, literally existing in a state of delirium, dependent on the next beer-binge. “There was not a day that I did not drink,” he vividly explained. “The time I am talking with you now, maybe a carton would be gone. You know, when you got paid, you would buy some cartons and put them in the fridge – instead of buying food. You might go and get five or six cartons and put them in the fridge. It came to the extent that I could not even sit like this without having a beer, because I would be shaking. I needed to have a beer with me.  When I was going to the toilet, I would carry a beer. It came to a time when I couldn’t even cook for myself. I had to go out and buy food before I could eat. Sometimes, I would spend two or three days without food; but beer was there. Even when I was going to bed, when I slept, I would be having a bottle with me. As I would be trying to sleep, I would be drinking. In the night, all I would dream of was beer. And the moment I woke up, I would start. Sometimes, the bottle would fall from my hands in the night. You would just get up in the morning and see the mess, go to the fridge and get another one. My beer was too much. I couldn’t live without beer. Like you are sitting down now – I couldn’t. I needed to have it with me. I needed to have it in my stomach – if I didn’t, I would become something else. I would become wild.”

As to be expected, the extreme addiction had taken its toll on him both physically and psychologically, with regular thoughts of suicide whirling within his head. “Physically, I was not normal. There were times when I would feel like a mad person. All it would tell you – go to the fridge, it is there. I even went bankrupt because of my beer addiction. If it was not there and you didn’t have money in the bank, you would force yourself to go and sell something so that at least, it would be there. It must be there. Things were finished. My vehicle – I sold it because of that. We had two fridges – I sold one of them. I sold everything to buy beer. I was only left with my TV and a bed to sleep in. If you came close to me, you would sense the smell of my beer. It got to the extent that my whole body smelt of beer, because sometimes I wouldn’t bathe. I would start to have a headache that was unstoppable – then something came to you and told you to get rid of your life.” Even while performing his duties as a heavy truck driver, Alex would drive under the influence of alcohol; astonishingly however, he was able to avoid accidents. “I used to hide alcohol at work. Even when I was driving, behind my seat you would find a carton of my beer.”

The downward spiral continued for Alex, bound in what could be termed as slavery to the spirit of alcohol that had totally engulfed his existence. It was the December of 2008 – over three years since he had last seen or spoken to his wife. “One Sunday morning, a friend of mine came to find out whether I was at home,” explained Alex, who had been drinking throughout the nights of Friday and Saturday. “He asked me if I had a decoder in my living room.” In tune with his answer, the friend entered his house and fiddled with the apparatus before tuning in to a particular television station. “He increased the volume and then joined me outside on the veranda where I was drinking. After a while, he heard the voice of the man of God preaching.” Alex’s friend had tuned to Emmanuel TV, and it was the start of a live Sunday Service from The SCOAN with Prophet T.B. Joshua. “By the time he heard the man of God say, ‘Distance is not a barrier! Let us pray for the viewers’ – he said to me, ‘Alex – you need to come and watch this.’ ” Literally forcing the reluctant drunkard to enter his house, the friend brought him before the television. “He told me: ‘Come – I need you to touch the screen’. I told him, ‘No, let me just watch the man.’ Then he just grabbed my hand and forcefully put it on the screen. At that moment, the man of God said: ‘Whatever is not of Jesus – out!’ That’s when I went out on the ground.” Rolling uncontrollably on the floor of his living room, Alex was receiving a remarkable deliverance as a service some thousands of miles away in Lagos, Nigeria progressed. The spirits tormenting his life and family were being chased out. “I must have been there for over 10 minutes. All I remember is that the man of God shouted, ‘In the name of Jesus – you are free’ and I just woke up at once, in dirty clothes and sweating profusely.”

Alex slowly got up, several neighbours having gathered due to the commotion, stared at him in amazement. The darkness that clouded his blood-shot eyes had gone. “I looked around and the first thing I asked was: ‘Where is my wife?’ My friend who had put on Emmanuel TV and all my neighbours started crying. They told me ‘Alex, your wife left you over three years ago.’ I couldn’t believe it. I went to the bedroom and started checking for my wife’s clothes. Then I discovered it was true – my wife was no longer with me. I began to cry.” Alex asked for a drink of water and a disbelieving neighbour brought out both bottles of water and beer, asking him to choose. He chose water.

The following day, Alex took a fortnight’s leave from work and started a desperate journey back to Zambia to find his wife. Discovering that his five children were scattered throughout the community and that his wife had returned to her father’s house, he set out to meet her. The passion to reunite was so deep that the journey of four days took him only two, to the point where he was 15km from the village of his father-in-law but with no transport available. “I walked the 15km on foot with the rain pouring and soaking me throughout. It was 1.00 when I finally arrived.” In the dead of night, Alex stood before his wife’s house and cried out. “When my father-in-law heard my voice, he said, ‘Alex, is that you?’ He then turned to shout, ‘Maria – your husband is here!’ ” It was a glorious moment, an unprecedented reconciliation upon 10 minutes in front of a unique television station. “Everyone was crying and we were hugging one another. In the morning, we had a meeting as a family. I had to explain to them what happened and how I got delivered through Emmanuel TV. They were surprised because what they heard about me and what they were seeing was a totally different thing. I knelt and apologised in the presence of the family, but my father-in-law stood me up and said: You remain our son. They killed a goat and we ate and celebrated together.” “It was a wonderful day,” recalled Maria. “Despite all that had happened, we were so happy to see him back in our lives – because we didn’t stop loving him. We were always praying for him and asking God to intervene in his situation – and He did!” After one week, the reunited couple returned to Botswana.

Alex’s remarkable encounter with God through Emmanuel TV signalled the last alcoholic drink he took, as well as the birth of a new relationship with Maria. “It’s like we have just been married. I never realised before how beautiful my wife is! Now when I am off work, I will be in the house, working and eating together with her. I also reunited with my children, and they came back to spend holidays with us.” It can be genuinely called a total transformation. “Thank God for the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua and Emmanuel TV for what they have done – they have brought life to my life. I was a dead person who had nothing in the head apart from beer – beer was my focus. If I didn’t have a beer, I didn’t have anything. But today, I am a different person, I don’t even think about beer anymore, not a single craving.” For Maria, it’s as if she has a new husband. “There is a big, big difference in his life – now he is a new man. We can share the Bible together; we can pray together, we can do all things together. No more drinking. No more fighting. No more shouting. He is even a preacher of the Word of God now! We are enjoying our relationship!”

Her advice to couples about to enter marriage is on the necessity of involving God. “I will advise those who are entering into marriage to invite God into their life, because a marriage without God has a limit, but with God – all things are possible. To my fellow people out there, hold fast to God – our God is a good God, He never fails. Jesus is a conqueror – and once you believe in Him, you too are a conqueror with Him.”

Alex’s advice, informed by an unforgettable life-experience, is simple: “Thank God that I can give you these words of advice: do not go into alcohol. Rather choose the Lord Jesus Christ, who will give you life, who will give light to your future. Not beer – beer doesn’t give life. Beer only spoils your life and kills you in a manner that the more beer you drink, the older you become, the more you destroy yourself – your life will be miserable. Let’s hold fast to God, not the things of this world. Let’s have a new life in Him that will never put us in misery, a new life that will always bring joy and happiness. God created us in His own image, and He wants us to follow His ways. Lucky we are that we are given Emmanuel TV! We’ve been given the prophet – Senior Prophet T.B. Joshua. He is not the prophet of Nigeria; he is a prophet of all nations. He is a prophet that is given to us to change our lives. Like me personally speaking now – if you saw me some years ago, you would shed tears. The tears you would be shedding are tears of joy that Emmanuel TV and its partners with Prophet T.B. Joshua have brought life to me today. I, Alex, am alive today because of Emmanuel TV and Prophet T.B. Joshua. All I can say is thank you!”

THE ABIDING POWER OF GOD

Prophet T.B. Joshua highlighted some key events of the previous Sunday service and a video clip was activated upon his request. The clip was that of Mr and Mrs Christian Chioke in which the husband offered to abandon the wife because of her untoward behaviour towards him.

Showing disdain and arrogance as she came to the altar with her husband, the wife entrapped in the pervading aura of the Holy Spirit began to confess her true nature. She described herself as a giant in the marine world who had destroyed the fortunes of many men including that of her husband. She was second in command in the kingdom and had the power to walk in the water while others swam. She was born with the marine spirit and had four children and wealth in the marine world. She described her husband as a man staying with him, his fortunes having been destroyed by her. They hailed from the same village where he, at 24, met her and married her but she used the opportunity of their togetherness to reduce the once prosperous man from affluence to zero like she did to many other men whom she entrapped into sex relationships with her powers. What she enjoyed was destroying men and she had a snake in her which she used as a means of doing the havoc to men. She had used her powers in the snake and her eyes to cause the downfall of many men and pastors. Her voice on the phone could also seduce men. Her attempt on Prophet T.B. Joshua in that regard failed because of the latter’s unique anointing.

She met her husband in 2001 in their village when he came for a chieftaincy title conferred on him. On that occasion, they exchanged addresses and phone numbers after which she travelled to visit him in Kaduna. She used her visit to turn the man from prosperity to poverty after which she left him but reunited with him in Port Harcourt when his fortunes seemed to revive. In Port Harcourt, she gave his fortunes a final blow that reduced him to nothing other than a big boy who lived in an apartment rented by her. Before then, he had been deceived by friends to borrow money from banks to enhance his business. Even though he felt he had paid the money, the banks came and confiscated his vehicles and property for defaulting. In many cases, he would notice that his money got lost without cause and in many cases he noticed that his wife acquired huge amounts of money without effort. She confessed that she could cause money to be paid into her bank account or her wardrobe through her spiritual powers.

Having watched Emmanuel TV somewhere, both came to the Church and the woman positioned herself where she thought she could seduce the prophet but luck was not on her side as the mass prayer disarmed her and reduced her power to a nullity.
After the deliverance of the couple, Christian shrugged his shoulders in refusal to accept her as his wife any more maintaining that she had destroyed his business and fortune. She knelt down to beg him and also sought the assistance of the prophet in this regard, reminding Christian that she was a new being after the deliverance. The prophet assured Christian that they would rise together as they fell together and that he should embrace her in marriage without misgivings. Following this assurance, he stretched his hands to welcome his wife into a new matrimony.

ANTHONY URHIE NOW BUBBLING IN HEALTH AND AFFLUENCE
As a way of confirming the assurance, the prophet had another video clip played, relating to a victim of the internet. In it a young man, named, Urhie Anthony who wanted a foreign Master degree and a foreign scholarship in addition to his degrees, linked up with a man on the internet through whom he hoped to actualize his ambition.

In course of their relationship on the internet, Anthony, an accountant by profession, demanded a picture of his respected internet friend. To his surprise, what Anthony received after a long delay was a picture of a demon with two horns. In reply to Anthony’s enquiries, the internet friend merely laughed, ‘ha-ha’ and said that was he. Thereafter, he disconnected all links with Anthony who then began a battle with snakes in his house. In two days, he killed seven snakes in his house. In addition, he noticed internal heat in him and his body was heavy as if he carried twenty bags of cement on himself. His eyes and sight were also affected almost to the point of blindness. After his deliverance and assurances of good health in October last year, he went back to his Delta State.

He emerged at the altar to prove to Mr Christian Chioke that the prophet’s words of assurance were not empty, as today he, Anthony is back to health and affluence and never needed to wear glasses any more after the deliverance from the ordeal in the hands of the internet serpent. Anthony was accompanied to the Church by his friend, Samuel Marere, who has been his friend through thick and thin.

Received by Wise Man John Chi who prayed for her and prophesied that she would deliver a baby girl, Mrs Blessing Sefi actually delivered a baby girl as prophesied by the wiseman. Glory to Jesus!

Another testimony came from Mr Donavan and his wife, Nikky, from South Africa who attended the December 2009 Fruit Of The Womb Meeting after exhausting modern medicine to deliver themselves from barrenness. As the prophet revealed, the Lord had instructed him to obtain an apron and use it to clean the altar, Bible and pulpit and cause it to be passed round all participants of the Meeting. Like their co-participants, the Donavan family touched the apron which wiped their barrenness away and by February 2010, Nikky had conceived. Today, they are happy parents of a baby girl. May the Lord’s name be extolled!

For over 33 years Emilia, a Cameroonian, had suffered from diabetes. She came by faith to The SCOAN where she attended the prayer line and collected the Anointing Water before travelling to the USA where she lives. Applying the Anointing Water after prayer as instructed, she received deliverance from diabetes as revealed in a hospital test which confirmed the reduction of her blood sugar from 130 to 74 and she came to give her testimony in full gratitude to God.

A clip of the miracles associated with the Anointing Water was on the screen and all watched how country after country it remained constant in delivering people from contrary spirits and giving healing to many people from all forms of sickness. Some of the places visited were Kazikstan in China where a woman with stiff neck was healed, the USA where many with contrary spirits were delivered and others suffering from ailments were healed. The same feat was repeated in Jamaica, Ukraine and Russia proving that God has equal control over the fortunes of his children anywhere in the world.

By the following month, his wife was pregnant and doctors who were surprised asked her whether she was still in the first marriage. By God’s grace the Chukwukas will soon be proud parents. Like her husband who possessed the spirit of drunkenness and died of liver infection induced by incessant drinking, Mrs Okoro saw herself drinking alcohol for years under the same spirit. She could drink 13 bottles a day under the influence of the spirit making her shun her responsibilities towards her children. Getting home after the drinking spree, she would be reminded by her disappointed children of her late home coming.
In a beer parlour, she watched Emmanuel TV and became touched enough to come to The SCOAN for the Anointing Water. She administered the Anointing Water according to prescription and something came out of her after that, making her develop hatred even for cold beer which was her favourite. We thank God for the miracle.

In his habit of taking the Anointing Water daily, Engr Stephen Kure went to his site after that ritual and ran into armed robbers there who demanded his car key. Though he gave them the car key, they shot him at a close range in the belly and blood oozed out from the stomach. Later, it was seen that the bullets merely scratched the stomach; they could not penetrate owing to the Anointing Water. No weapon fashioned by the enemy against Kure prospered, Glory to Jesus!

A minister of God in Johannesburg, South Africa, Shiko Apwam having been convinced of God’s power in the Anointing Water met Prophet T.B. Joshua and collected a sample for administration in his church. As he did so, the anointing in the water sent contrary spirits in disarray. Many who were afflicted with infirmities were healed and he advised his congregation to be watching Emmanuel TV.

PROPHECY REVIEW
As the service went on, the prophet had cause to draw the attention of his listeners to one of his prophecies six months earlier. The prophecy related to the longest serving president in Africa in the Arab nation being under day service, pressure to resign. Also in the mass prayer a man said to be an armed robber and assassin vomited an egg. The service was brought to a temporary close awaiting Monday noon.

GOD’S POWER OF DELIVERANCE

The deliverance of militants from the Niger Delta from all contrary spirits was witnessed on January 16th in the Church service of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations. Three weeks earlier, their Commander, Asoki Jacob had voluntarily surrendered himself for this important deliverance to rescue his being and conscience from being haunted by the spirits of the many people he had assassinated and other atrocities that characterized his life as a militant. Even though he and many of his compatriots had laid down their arms and surrendered to the Federal Government, they were yet to enjoy the ease of conscience as only their physical being was catered for in the accord with the Federal Government. The accord never went deep enough to reach their spiritual being and so, total peace of mind remained perpetually evasive years after the accord. As they put it, they were in constant confrontation, both in the day and in dream, with the spirits of those they had exterminated as the latter were implacable in their quest for vengeance. Consequently, the material comfort and peace of mind which the accord was supposed to bring to them became a mirage. Following the deliverance of Commander Jacob, many of the Ex-militants seeking the same salve, trooped to their Coordinator to present them for deliverance in The SCOAN in order to restore their psyche and sanity skewed by years of hooliganism and gangsterism. It was for this reason that their coordinator brought eight of them for deliverance in the previous Sunday service and a total number of twenty-three in the Church service in focus.

Prophet T. B Joshua elaborately ex-rayed the mental trauma that had been trailing the militants following the abdication of wilful destruction of lives and property and a genuine wish on their part to embrace a lifestyle of decency and accountability. According to the Prophet, the militants had been tormented both night and day by the spirits of those they had killed and no amount of reconciliation with the Federal Government could assuage these spirits. Only deliverance in the church could restrain those spirits from tormenting them and consequently restore their natural equanimity to them. In confirmation of this, their commander, Asoki Jacob confessed to the congregation that since his deliverance two weeks earlier, he had become a different human being enjoying total peace of mind shielded, as he became, from all spirits on the path of vengeance. On his part , the urge to resort to further criminality had also been nipped in the bud by the deliverance. His request to the man of God to resume formal education at the age of 39 confirms, according to the prophet, a rapprochement with normalcy and decency in lifestyle. Married with children as Ex-Commander Asoki is, he would find part-time programme beneficial, according to the prophet who then acceded to his request for help. The rest of them who were delivered that day were each given a total sum of N200,000.

The gift as explained by the prophet came from the combined effort of the Federal Government, Christians and people in general. He also hinted that those of them who received deliverance that day had been in the Church for two weeks where they had benefited from counselling and exposure to the Bible adding that the twenty three who reported for deliverance that day would be made to benefit from the same scheme before receiving deliverance.

Coordinator Jerry Ogboibini, a worker in an oil company saddled himself with the responsibility of bringing the Ex-militants for deliverance. On their part, the Ex-militants pleaded with the man of God for deliverance as they all in unanimity testified to the mental torture they were undergoing as an aftermath of their past lives of wanton killing and militancy. In support of their plea for deliverance, the man of God averred that the first place to prosper was in our spiritual life and so there was need for a consultant in that area. He added that 90% of the world had this problem because of the non-availability of consultants, that is, people to tell the opinion of God.

PARTNERS’ MEETING
All Emmanuel TV Partners held a meeting three days earlier in which they examined, among other issues, the topic of spiritual consultancy. The need for each family in the group to have a spiritual consultant to make the opinion of God known to it was tabled at the end of which they were made to benefit from the spiritual advice of the present five wise men. By the arrangement, each of the families is to be connected to a wise man by phone for God’s opinion on critical issues. Appreciating the new arrangement, the prophet lamented the incursion and obliteration by civilization, of the sacred values of old when men interacted with God. Christianity, he maintained, is more than mere teaching and preaching. It has more to do with practicalizing the power of Jesus.

TESTIMONIES ON ANOINTING WATER AND WRISTBAND
Mrs Folanke narrated how the Wristband she collected the previous week saved her daughter from death. According to her, she sent the Wristband to her daughter and advised her to wear it.

On her part, the daughter, Mrs Bolanle not only accepted the band but used it as enjoined by her mother. After praying with it, Mrs Bolanle wore it and went to bed. The following morning, she went to her shop where unfortunately, she was electrocuted. One of those who came to the scene pulled off the fuse and Mrs Bolanle then fell. Her entire body turned white and her tongue stuck out as she was taken to hospital, dead. Hours later, she started to regain consciousness. Narrating her encounter with death, the woman said she could recollect a force carrying her from the world of the living as she lost consciousness. Thanks to the Holy Spirit in the medium of the Wristband, Mrs Bolanle came to life.

WRISTBAND FLUSHES FALSE PREGNANCY
For over eight years, Mrs Osaro Adasa had been christened Mother of Twins by neighbours who erroneously thought she was pregnant judging by the protrusion of her stomach. That was however not the case. The bloated stomach was simply a developed abnormality which caused her to be jilted by her husband. However, her situation changed on the day she collected and wore the Anointing Wristband.

As soon as she put on the Wristband, she fell and began to writhe in manifestation. In that condition, a voice from within her accused her of attempting to abandon the evil world and joining Jesus Christ. Getting home that evening, she felt her stomach churn and soon after, she began to throw up white and slimy mucous. Like a person suffering from cholera, she also passed out this slimy but (this time) blackish substance through her anus. That same night, she dreamt and saw a baby boy being handed to her by the man of God. As she narrated her testimony, two pictures of her, one snapped before she collected the Wristband and the other after the incident were displayed on the screen to show the disparity in the size of her stomach and the difference was conspicuous and indisputable. Back at home, her neighbours asked her whether she had delivered. In reaction to her testimony, the prophet prophesied that her new husband would come her way very soon. The Anointing Wristband is indeed a medium among many for the manifestation of the powers of God. Glory to Jesus!

ANOINTING WATER BOOSTS FARMING
Madam Martina of Benue State, Nigeria had for nine years been farming in vain as the proceeds from her efforts were not worth the trouble. As a committed farmer, she came to The SCOAN in March 2010 to collect the Anointing Water to redress her situation. This done, she soaked her yam seedlings in water mixed with the Anointing Water before going to sow them. One curious incident was that each time she went to sow, it would be followed by a shower of rain in the period which otherwise was generally dry.

The two tubers of yam she displayed as she gave her testimony substantiated her story beyond all doubt. Rotund and attractive, the yams, like the rest at home, clearly showed protection against the attack of yam beetles and other pests. While congratulating and rejoicing with her, the prophet mooted the idea of inviting farmers for a meeting as farming is the first and most important occupation which in recent times has been diversified. He also seized the opportunity to advise Emmanuel TV Partners to embrace farming even if as a part-time exercise. When God intervenes in your matter, it doesn’t matter what the hurdles are, for surely you shall have cause to thank Him at the end.

ANOINTING WATER PROSPERS FISHING BUSINESS
Two fishermen from Cameroon, Anthony Amasia and Francis also mounted the podium to testify to the omnipotence of God regarding their fishing business. Disappointed by the paltry returns from their fishing efforts over a long time, they came to The SCOAN for the Anointing Water.

As soon as they got home, they administered the Water on their boats and the company premises. Thereafter their fortunes embraced ascendancy and they have been reputed the best fishermen in Cameroon. May His name be glorified for the effectual intervention in the fortunes of these fishermen.

ELDER EMMANUEL SAVED FROM ROBBERS
Elder Emmanuel of Rivers State is a politician. He collected the Anointing Water on the 29th of December 2010 and anointed his family. On January 11th, there was a frightening knock on his door which made them start screaming for help.

When help was not forthcoming, they remembered Jesus and began to call His name for intervention. In desperation, the man broke the ceiling and went into hiding there so as not to be killed by these robbers. The robbers broke their way into the house and searched everywhere. They were in the house for one hour and twenty minutes searching for what they could make away with. Later, they told themselves that the place was not safe for them and they left. Thanks to God that no member of the family was killed but only some laptops and handsets were removed. But for the Anointing Water who knows what would have been the fate of this family? We thank the Lord for using the medium of the Anointing Water to provide safety to His children.

Alice Michael is a widow caring for the many children left behind by her late husband. Indeed, the task of caring for the many children alone is not easy for her. She apparently felt relieved when a man met her in the market and promised to offer her something that would make her prosper. However some other people advised her to come to The SCOAN to seek the needed assistance. In The SCOAN she collected the sticker and with it she and her family prayed. Later that night, the man she met in the market called her and she went accompanied by one of her daughters. The man offered her the sum of N3,000 and asked her to wait outside while he went inside with her daughter. She became uncomfortable when she heard her daughter crying inside. Later, the man brought out the daughter complaining that there was something in her that rendered her unsuitable for his purpose. Dropping the child with her mother, he retrieved the money he gave to her and asked her to go with her daughter. Unknown to the mother, The SCOAN sticker was glued to the dress of the baby to save her from the hands of evil ones. We thank the Lord for using the medium of the sticker to save His innocent daughter.

A PROPHETIC TEACHING PRACTICALISED

True to his commitment to the work of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua has often dwelt on different aspects of the committed worshipper and true worshipping in his teaching during live service every Sunday. One of his themes on Sunday the 11th of April 2010 was the mark of a true prophet. The man of God cited various portions of the Bible to elucidate his point. This was however, preceded by a short period of devotional prayers.
After a short period of worship, the man of God, Prophet TB Joshua gave a message which was titled: God speaks to us. The prophet clearly identified the marks by which one may detect a cheat or false prophet and a true prophet quoting the book of DEUTERONOMY 18:20 as his proof text. He said, “God puts His Word in our mouths when we say, ‘God says’ genuinely. When God gives us His Word, It heals, blesses and delivers. When we say ‘God says’, at that moment, we are speaking of God, not of ourselves. But if I say, ‘God says’ and it does not come to pass, this will serve to disapprove my commission as a prophet.”
After an exhaustive examination of the theme, the man of God decided to illustrate his point further by authorising to be highlighted on the screen, two recent incidents in the church. The first was the delivery of a baby in the church the previous Sunday. In this incident the man of God prayed for a woman in the prayer line for safe delivery and immediately her water broke and she entered labour. Some moments later, after she had been taken to the church labour room, the man of God went to her and prayed for her once again.

The hallmark of this event was the total identification of the baby by the prophet before it came out. As if that was what the baby had been waiting for before showing its face, it came out as soon as the prophet identified it both by sex and name. In apparent response to the prophet’s repeated utterance; “Ezekiel, come out” the baby boy surfaced much to the surprise of the anxious congregation.

The second prophetic message concerned a flag the man of God said he had seen being brought down. The prophet added that the flag he saw had two colours, one of which was white. The prophecy was actually the final part of a series of prophecies the man of God had been giving from the very beginning of the year. The DVD began by showing a prophecy dated back in the month of January when Prophet TB Joshua prophesied concerning the nation Russia and one of her neighbours that something would happen to cause a dispute that might escalate into a fight between the two countries. Later in the year, the prophet prophesied again that he saw an aeroplane full of government officials and people that mattered in their society adding that something would happen in the air. He then called on the congregation to pray for the protection of the innocent souls. Footage from CNN’s Breaking News on Saturday 10th April announced that the Polish President, Lech Kaczynski, the First Lady, the Chief of Army Staff and many other prominent government officials and leaders died when their plane crashed in Russia. To confirm the prophecy, the reporters drew attention to the national flag of Poland which is a flag comprising two colours: red and white. In memory of the life of the great president and those who lost their lives in the tragic accident, Prophet T.B. Joshua called for a prayerful two minute silence in which the prophet instructed the congregation to pray for God to rebuild and reinstate the nation of Poland and to give her good governors, good officials and good people to take over the running of the country.
Before commencing with the mass prayer, the man of God said that we, as Christians, must feel what others feel by which he alluded to all those waiting for God’s healing. One of the most touching moments was when Mrs Mukhele from Cameroon who had come with a terrible case of cancer of the cheek, touched her swollen face and smiled testifying that the pain had gone after the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua ministered the Anointing Water for salvation, healing and deliverance to her. This was just one of the many pathetic cases that received healing.
Two other cases that are worth mentioning are those of Mrs Comfort Okpere, 57, who had a fracture of the right femoral head due to an accident and had to use a pair of crutches in order to walk; she miraculously threw away her crutches and began walking unassisted after the prayer of Prophet T.B. Joshua.


The other one was Mr Frank Ebaghelli who suffered from inability to walk due to a fracture of his tibia and fibula and was brought to the church lying down in his vehicle. The man of God gave a bottle of Anointing Water for salvation, healing and deliverance to the family members to minister to the invalid and after receiving the Anointing Water, Mr Ebaghelli rose to his feet and walked to the glory of God!
This goes to show that there is never a disease Jesus Christ cannot cure.


The second service began a short time later with the mass prayer. The man of God raised prayer points instructing the congregation “to release themselves from every situation that threatened their joy, peace and comfort” and “from every spirit that was not of God”. In response to the man of God’s prayer, God generously released healing to all those who were in need to the joy of the entire congregation.
Amidst the powerful prayer points the man of God also revealed many prophecies both of international and personal significance to members of the congregation.
There is no space enough to record all the happenings and miracles that took place that service day, suffice to say that our Lord Jesus Christ proved that though He is no longer visible in our midst, His power has not stopped. Rather, Jesus Christ’s power and effectiveness are even greater today because He can be in all places, at all times through His Word by His Spirit!
In addition to this, Prophet T.B. Joshua also demonstrated by the various vindications of earlier prophecies and instances of miraculous healings and deliverance the mark of God’s true prophet.

In God’s Hands

A touching testimony found in ‘Faith Cometh’, The SCOAN’s magazine. Truly, our lives are in God’s hands… Read with devotion and let faith cometh!

With everything the world could offer, ‘a dream house, well paid jobs, a holiday flat, a game farm with animals – the whole package’ on the outside, it seemed as if the young couple from Pretoria, South Africa lacked nothing. Inwardly, however, Peter and Gene Van Zyl were lonely, restless and searching. For them, life was an ongoing search for something more substantial and fulfilling, as their successful restaurant entrepreneurship, regular parties, social gatherings and wild and spontaneous lifestyle left nothing but emptiness.

Reflecting on his past lifestyle, Peter said: “We were in a pitiful situation. We started off on the wrong foundations. We came from a background where the one with the most money and the nicest girlfriend wins at the end of the day. So our past was full of alcohol, drugs, and unfaithfulness. We came from a life of idolatry. I idolised everything in my life – my businesses and my possessions; I was very materialistic. We lacked substantial truth and were deceived by all kinds of lies”. Speaking of their former activities, Gene said: “It was basically based on going from one party to the next; there was nothing of God, nothing of stability, nothing to look forward to except going from one drink party to another – and as the years went on, our condition was only getting worse. All the parties, all the people and all the work responsibilities caused a lot of havoc in our lives”. Peter summed up his situation, saying, “I was a bomb waiting and looking for a place to explode”.

A downward spiral of events left the young couple’s marriage on the brink of disaster and Peter’s health in dire straits. Time seemed to be running out on them as stability waned. In Peter’s own words, “When everything starts falling apart around you and you don’t have Jesus, then you don’t have hope. There is no hope”.

Knowing that there must be more to life, curiosity and a promise to accompany his friend diagnosed with terminal cancer led Peter to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations in August, 2006. Previously sceptical and unapproachable concerning spiritual matters, the radical and practical truth that Peter witnessed at The SCOAN, brought him to his knees in repentance before his Creator. Speaking of his first trip, he said: “I saw the truth and the light and that changed me. Within two days, I was sold out for Jesus and everything about The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations”. During the Sunday service broadcast live on Emmanuel TV, on the instruction of Prophet T.B. Joshua, the whole congregation and viewers worldwide stretched their hands to pray for the salvation of Peter and his two friends. Struggling to describe the incredible moment, Peter said: “There is no way to explain it. I don’t know if you can imagine… it feels like everything you ever based your values on just disappeared. So, there was an absolute feeling of nil, zero but it is a good feeling. It feels as if nothing, nothing will stop you now – you will throw everything away”.

Peter returned home a changed man and on seeing that the transformation in the life of her husband was genuine, Gene later agreed to join him on another trip to The SCOAN. Initially sceptical, Gene was convinced by the power of God she saw in the life of Prophet T.B. Joshua. She had come to Nigeria tempted to even give up on her marriage, but after receiving a message of prophecy about the root cause of their marital problems, Gene accepted the Truth and was set free.

Since Peter and Gene have surrendered their lives to Jesus at The SCOAN, their marriage has been restored. Peter has been healed of a serious neck injury and they have joined the family of Emmanuel TV as ‘partners in purpose’ in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole world. Peter, affectionately known as ‘Big Brother’ by The SCOAN family and his wife, Gene, have a powerful testimony to share, proving that their lives are truly in God’s hands.

Faith Cometh spoke with them to find out their incredible story.

Gene explained: “I woke up one Monday morning with a funny feeling that something bad was going to happen. Peter was out at the time with his colleagues and they were going to drive back at night, so I was worried about them. That day, my phone rang and it was The SCOAN looking for ‘Big Brother’; I told them that he was on the farm. I tried to call him but he was out of signal. Then suddenly the phone rang and it was The Synagogue again. I told them, “I couldn’t get through to him but have left a message that he should contact you as soon as possible”. Then they told me, “Hold on for the prophet”. I was astounded – he had never phoned me before! Suddenly, I heard the prophet say, “Hello!” I was so excited and so completely overwhelmed that I didn’t actually know what I said to him! I was just saying, “God bless you”. He asked me how I was and told me he wanted to come to South Africa and that he would see us. I was very excited. I actually think I put down the phone before him – I was so excited!

“The next morning, I woke up with the same ‘bad feeling’ again. I work at an estate agency. We go to houses, show people around and take pictures. That day, the house I went to was still under construction. On getting there… I can’t remember much except telling the owner, “I am not going to take photos because your house is not complete”. And I recall him saying, “Are you scared of heights?” I said, “No”. When I woke up, I was in hospital. I thought, “Wow, when I wake up, I must tell my husband about this funny dream!” ‘Big Brother’ can tell the rest of the story…”

“Well, it was a normal day. I didn’t even know that the prophet had phoned my wife the previous day. I was in my office when I got a phone call from her boss who, crying on the phone, said, “Gene fell off a building and there is a lot of blood!” That was the call. She gave me the address and then she was too hysterical to talk. I put down the phone and rushed to the address; it was near our home. As I left the house, I grabbed a bottle of anointing oil which the prophet had given me. When I got there, I saw a team of builders standing in the street looking up in a state of shock. The manager ran to me and said, “Are you the husband?” I said, “Yes”. He started sobbing, “I am sorry for building this place. I should have never built it – there must be a curse on this place!” I said, “Where is she?” He said, “She is just around the house there”.

“As I walked around, I was praying and started to realise how serious it was, judging from the reactions of the people that saw what happened. When I came around the house, I saw her; she was lying on her back, unconscious, with a really big pool of blood next to her head. Literally, it looked like her skull had burst open. She had fallen headfirst off the balcony of the building onto concrete tiles.

“I fell on my knees next to her and started praying. As I prayed, I took some oil and began anointing her. The ambulance was on the way – that I knew, having confirmed with our doctor on the way there. So I couldn’t do anything but just pray – my wife lying next to me with blood everywhere. Then my phone rang. It was about 10 minutes after arriving there. I picked up the phone and it was Prophet T.B. Joshua – straight, not ‘hold on for the man of God’. He said, “Hello! Don’t worry. This I saw three days ago. That’s why I phoned her yesterday. Did you know I phoned her? This is what I saw three days ago – I have been praying for her for three days. She fell, she fell”. I said, “Yes, she fell”. He said, “It is not unto death; don’t worry, she’ll be fine. Don’t worry. I will phone you”.

“I can’t tell you what was going through my mind at that moment. I believe God for the best, but in circumstances like that, you tend to panic. As I was on my knees there, I was really feeling the stress – so it was grace for that moment that the prophet phoned. From that moment, I knew that she wouldn’t die. The ambulance came and she was taken to hospital. Before I got to the hospital, representatives of The SCOAN were with me there. For that whole week in the hospital, someone from The SCOAN was with us, encouraging us and praying with us. It was wonderful!

“When we got to the hospital, they immediately had to do a CR scan to see if there was brain damage or whether the nerves were injured. After the scan result was out, everything was fine but she had broken both her wrists very badly. There were shattered bones everywhere.

“That evening, the prophet phoned again and said that we shouldn’t worry and that we don’t need to operate – that God would heal her. I said, “Ok”. So, she was lying down with her arms above her head, completely bandaged, and drifting in and out of consciousness because of the severe concussion in her head. I knew my wife’s family were on their way and the prophet said not to operate. The next morning, the doctor said we must have an emergency operation. I said, “No, you can’t”. He said, “Excuse me?” I said, “No, you can’t”. He said, “Why not?” I said, “I want to pray about it”. So he flipped completely! He threw the scan up and said, “You can take her to another hospital if my prognosis is not good enough!” I said, “Fine, just give me the forms I need to sign and I will take her to another hospital”. Then he went off and cooled himself down. He came back and said: “No, you don’t have to check her out. What do you want to do?” I said, “I just want to pray for a few days and seek God for guidance on what to do”. He wanted to have an emergency operation but agreed to reschedule for three days later.

What a God we have to worship, what a Son we have to praise, what a future lies before us!

“Then, my mother and father in-law wanted to know why we weren’t operating. They didn’t understand and were starting to panic. Family and friends started giving me a lot of pressure. Also, doctors phoned me and said that the bone was so badly shattered that she could get an infection and die if they didn’t operate quickly. I was praying and believing God but there was a lot of pressure and I was feeling the heavy strain. That night, the prophet phoned again.

“Without telling him anything, he said, “Hello! Well, I see the family and doctors are giving you a lot of trouble”. I emphatically said, “Yes!” He said, “Ok, operate, don’t operate – it doesn’t matter, but come to Lagos”. Gene had told me clearly, “If the prophet says don’t operate, we won’t do it”. So I said, “Listen, the prophet said you can operate”. So, she decided to operate, because there was a huge amount of pressure.

“We did the operation – that was two days after the fall, and a week later, we came to Lagos. The doctor said that the operation on the right arm was very successful, but we would have to do another operation on the left one. When we got to Lagos, the man of God greeted Gene, took her hand and said, “Sorry. You know you didn’t need to operate. God would have healed you”. He said that this was an unchangeable event. He saw it and prayed about it, but it was unchangeable”.

Gene continued: “I still had a lot of pain in my arm and was very restricted in its movement. At the prayer line, the prophet prayed for me and later that evening, the pain suddenly began subsiding. I brushed my teeth, which I hadn’t been able to do before and began to use my arm freely. It was then I actually appreciated to what extent the pain had gone! I never took pain tablets again and the pain completely left! The day we were to leave, we met the prophet and he said that we could take the cast off. When we got home, we went again for a scan. The doctor looked at my hands and was quite confused. He kept lifting up my left and right hand, trying to see the difference. I asked him, “Is it better than what you hoped for?” He said, “Yes, it is. What did you guys do?” I said “Well, we prayed about it”.
