THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE

 

Wise Man Christopher

Wise Man Christopher, with his usual fervour, issued his message which he titled, ‘The Weapons Of Our Warfare’ to the congregation and cited many portions of the Bible to make his case clear. In his words, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but spiritual through God in pulling down every demonic stronghold. The Word, he clarified, is not on the written page of the Bible but in the lips of the believers.  As Christians, you need to fill your mind and heart with the Word to speak it.  In Matthew 4 : 1-11, Jesus gave Christians  the battle plan when He spoke directly to the devil in the wilderness. You need to learn the value of God’s Word on your lips to confront the devil victoriously. In Ephesians 6:17, the Bible tells us that those who overcome satan will be required to use the power of the spoken Word. David, in 1 Samuel 17:45 – 50 used the Word of God in his heart as a weapon to defeat Goliath. David’s first victory was therefore in the choice of the right weapon, which was the Word of God on his lips. As Christians, Jesus has given us the Word of God as a special weapon that no power of satan can withstand. Whatever your giant or mountain, you, as a Christian, can address it with the Word of God and achieve total victory. Prayer in the power of the Holy Spirit is the most formidable weapon, the wise man concluded his message.

WOMAN EFFECTUALLY DELIVERED FROM EATING HER HAIR

A week after her deliverance, Mrs Josephine Eseme Jimmy, standing beside her husband, happily gave thanks to God for her deliverance as, according to her, the urge to eat her hair had completely disappeared.  Josephine came to The SCOAN the previous Sunday for deliverance from addiction to eating her hair, including those on her head, armpits and private parts.  She said the addiction took form after she heard a voice ordering her to eat her hair. The unusual behaviour was cultivated before her marriage and had continued since then for a length of 23 years. After her confession, Josephine was delivered in the mighty name of Jesus by Prophet T.B. Joshua who told her that she was free and would not eat her hair anymore. She said that in her dream two days after the deliverance, the demon appeared to her to lure her to the old act but immediately, the man of God also appeared and the demon ran in fear. The man of God then held her and she woke from sleep. That was the end of her addiction to eating her hair.  The couple thanked the prophet one more time for being used by Jesus to bring about her deliverance. In reaction, the prophet once more established the difference between authority and power. In his words, knowing facts about Jesus does not change your relationship with Him. He however added that your reward for a relationship with Jesus is power.

SPIRITUAL HUSBAND’S HOLD RELEASED IN JESUS’ NAME

A video clip on the events of the previous Sunday service showed Wise Man Daniel as he laid hands on the congregants. A woman among them,Mrs Alberta Boakye from Ghana reacted by manifesting the spiritual husband in her.

The spirit, speaking through her, said Alberta was his wife who disobeyed her to marry an earthly husband. The spirit added that it had destroyed the husband’s ministry for that reason. The spirit also said their second child could not learn because of the punishment by the spiritual husband. She was then delivered after prayer from Wise Man Daniel. Standing by her pastor husband as she gave her testimony, Alberta revealed that she sensed the spiritual husband in her life at the age of 16 when it used to have sex with her in her dreams. The spirit had been a thorn in their marriage of ten years, causing her to inflict emotional pain on her husband all the time. Under the influence of the spirit, she became the husband and took delight in issuing orders to her husband and beating him. She was however relieved to be free after her deliverance.

In response to the prophet, Pastor Nicholas the husband chronicled all the shameful treatment his wife inflicted on him under the influence of the spiritual husband. She would wake up and ask her husband in the dead of night to clean the house and wash the dishes. When she knew it was fasting time for her husband, she would deliberately set food before him to break the fast unjustifiably. Either she would meet the husband in the church to fight and embarrass him or prevent him by force from going to church after he was ready. On such occasions, the pastor whose church had branches in other countries, would call his fellow pastors in the church to ask them to carry on as he was still ‘waiting on God’. He lost his congregation to other churches and the branches closed because of the wife’s abnormal behaviour.  A king of the community who attended his church withdrew his membership because of the wife’s behaviour. After praying for the deliverance of the pastor, Prophet T.B. Joshua assured him that he would assist him to reactivate his ministry and re-open the branches. Asked to comment on her husband’s confession, Alberta, in unmistakable remorse said, ‘I feel bad and sad’ and bemoaned satan for all that her husband had suffered in her hands. Prophet T.B. Joshua ended the episode by explaining that it was the evil spirit inside the wife that was responsible and now that she was delivered, her husband should not remind her of the past.

MAN DELIVERED FROM THE SPIRIT OF MASTURBATION

Mr Solomon Ogheneovo

A man from Delta, Nigeria, Solomon Ogheneovo by name, told the congregation of himself as a victim of the spirit of masturbation for 24 years. He thought that getting married would stop the embarrassing act but in fact, it continued. Even after marriage, he masturbated at least every day. After unsuccessful efforts, which included fasting and prayer, on his part to stop it, he finally decided to seek the face of the Lord in The SCOAN. After receiving the Anointing Water, he gathered his family and they prayed with it. That prayer, according to him, marked the end of his masturbation. He thanked God for using the prophet to bring an end to this torment in his life.

ANOINTING WATER RESTORES MENSTRUATION

Mrs Mercy Anthony

Mrs Mercy Anthony told listeners how she regained her menstruation which ceased for seven years, completely unresponsive to her efforts to reactivate it.  She said a good Samaritan gave her a virtually empty bottle of the Anointing Water which she topped with water, prayed with and ministered on herself. Following that, her menstruation miraculously reappeared. She ended her testimony by advising all her listeners to trust God who has an answer to whatever problems they might have.

ANOINTING WATER RESTORES MEMORY AND FETCHES PROMOTION

Rahamat Yusuf Suleiman had an accident in April which, among other injuries, affected her memory. This affected her reading and preparation for her promotion examination in her workplace. The result was that she failed the examination and was denied promotion. After efforts elsewhere to find a cure had failed, she sent a friend to The SCOAN for the Anointing Water.

  On receiving the Anointing Water, she prayed with it and sprayed it on herself, particularly her forehead. Soon after, to her amazement, she vomited an earthworm. The Anointing Water gave her total healing and following her prayer with it before going for another promotion examination in her workplace, she found the questions the same as the ones she had read, making her pass the examination with ease. As she gave her testimony, Rahamat displayed her promotion letter which was the outcome of her success in the examination.  Rahamat advised her listeners to go to the Lord always for a solution to their problems.

CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR THE AGED, DISABLED AND CHILDREN WORLDWIDE

The Emmanuel TV Team and Partners as usual filled trailers with gifts of rice, flour and other food items and transported them to the elderly and physically challenged both within Nigeria and internationally.

Two of the many states in Nigeria that were visited by The Emmanuel TV Team were Yobe and Borno in the far north of the country. The team set off with two trailers each filled to capacity with rice and flour, in addition to cash gifts. The venue for the meeting with the Emmanuel TV  Team was General Hospital Leprosy Centre, Maiduguri. People gathered from all around Borno State to attend the meeting.

The team sent by T.B. Joshua presented the community leaders with cash gifts and the bags of rice were distributed among everyone, regardless of race, faith or background. The Bible teaches us that we should love our neighbours as ourselves. In the same vein, various gifts were also dispatched to the needy and elderly people in Kremenchuk, Ukraine. In the Asian continent, Lahore, Pakistan was also visited with bags of rice, flour and other gift items.

FINANCIAL AID TO VISUALLY IMPAIRED STUDENTS

In the course of the service, five visually impaired students from the University of Jos were led to the platform where they narrated their financial problems as students, one after another.

Yakubu, a student of Special Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, was the first to bare his mind about his financial needs as a student and concluded that he needed the sum of N92,000.00 to pay his school fees and solve other problems as a student.  The rest, in turn, also spoke, explaining that as students, even the money to release their results was hard to come by. Upon listening to their complaint, the prophet directed that their needs be met. Consequently, a total sum of N284,300.00 and bags of rice were disbursed among them.

MASS PRAYER FREES ALL

T.B Joshua

Praying in the power of the Holy Spirit, Prophet T.B. Joshua led the congregation and viewers worldwide in a powerful time of mass prayer. Many vomited the poisons long buried in their systems, thus receiving their freedom. The prophet prayed for the total release of his listeners in many areas of their lives, including their finances, businesses, marital lives among others. He also prayed for the restoration of their destinies and health. In the course of the mass prayer, the prophet issued prophecies to some people who, in reaction came forward to confirm the prophecies. Confirming that the entire congregation had been delivered and was free, the prophet proceeded to say the grace and bring the service to a close.

WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE

After the songs of praise and worship by which the day’s service commenced were over, Wise Man Daniel proceeded to give the message entitled, ‘Trusting In Christ’s Suffering’ by which he reminded the congregation that Christ died on the Cross to provide our needs which he said were healing, deliverance, blessing among others. He cited 1st Peter 2:21-24 as his proof text. Dwelling on the significance of Palm Sunday, he averred that that the Lord’s instruction regarding the donkey was characteristically not vague. Jesus is a Man of vision who says what He means and means what He says. His was instruction in boldness, certainty, righteousness and power. His rebuke was for our peace. His death was miserable and His disciples must be ready to bear His cross. By His suffering there is assurance of life for us.

ANOINTING WATER STOPS ISSUE OF BLOOD
After the prophet’s usual introductory remarks about the new Anointing Water, there was a surge of congregants wishing to testify to the instrumentality of the Anointing Water. The first person to enjoy the opportunity of giving a testimony was Mrs Elizabeth Aghachiebonam of Ebonyi State, though resident in Abuja. Her problem, according to her, was the issue of blood for two years. She recounted the trouble her husband had taken to find a solution for her in hospitals and churches without hitting any success. The problem started as internal heat and generated pain all over her body making her pass through sleepless nights. While people would be sleeping at night, she would see herself restless and reeling in pain. Coming to The SCOAN on the Thursday preceding the Sunday of testimony, she said she received the Anointing Water immediately on arrival and administered it on herself in compliance with the instruction. As soon as she applied it, the bleeding stopped. She happily told the congregation that she had started enjoying her nightly sleep and comfort of body following the staunching of the blood. She seized the opportunity to advise her listeners to have faith in the Lord, their Creator who is always there for them in times of need.

ANOINTING WATER OBVIATES OPERATION
The next testimony was given by the Akhere family. Mrs Akhere had been told by her doctor that she would require operation to deliver her baby because of her tight cervix. She therefore visited The SCOAN to seek the face of the Lord. She received the Anointing Water and administered it on herself in prayer for safe delivery. After this, she delivered her baby safely without operation. They named their baby Harry after Wise Man Harry. They profusely thanked God with whom, they recognized, nothing is impossible.

ANOINTING WATER AND GOD’S OMNIPRESENCE
The omnipresent nature of God was demonstrated with the Anointing Water in many parts of the world. The video clips revealed the work of the Anointing Water in other countries of which Greece was one. The clip showed a woman, Shaze Qualli who for twelve years depended on crutches for movement. The Anointing Water dispelled all the darkness in her and delivered her from all pain and infirmity. Another man who depended on crutches for movement was also delivered in the same way. There were many who, hitherto in the throes of contrary spirits, fell down under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and were delivered with the administration of the Anointing Water.

A similar feat was revealed in Ghana where a woman who had not been able to walk for years was declared free by an evangelist spraying the Anointing Water on her and she responded immediately by standing up to walk. A young man was also freed from evil spirits and he thanked God having been delivered through the medium of the Anointing Water. Mr John, a sergeant in the Ghanaian army, had for five years been incapacitated because of an injury he sustained in an accident. Spraying the new Anointing Water on him, an evangelist declared him free and he resumed walking immediately.

ANOINTING WATER RESTORES HEAD TO SHAPE
While the congregation was engrossed watching these miracles from other countries, an evangelist in The SCOAN had seen a young man in the church arranged in the prayer line because of a development in his head which made the head assume a very abnormal shape. The evangelist proceeded to spray the new Anointing Water on the head and, soon after, pus began to ooze from the head miraculously. In no time the head regained its normal shape after all the pus had come out. This was possibly the greatest miracle of the day as the evacuation of the pus left no mark or scar on the head after restoring the head to shape.

MARITAL UNDERSTANDING ACHIEVED
The next was the reconciliation of Mr and Mrs Elizabeth Aghachiebonam as hinted in the previous service. The next paragraph entitled MISUNDERSTANDING WORDS OF PROPHECY was their story in a nutshell at the end of service the week before. But to the glory of God, the couple reappeared on the platform this Sunday to thank God for their successful reconciliation and for the grace of understanding and appreciating each other the more as a couple. The very striking element of the reconciliation was the dream, Stella, the wife had in which she was told by Prophet T. B. Joshua to remove the ring and bangle on her hand. Contrary to her thinking that she never had those ornaments on her body to remove, the prophet proceeded beyond her skin into her bone to dislodge those ornaments which were an attestation to her union with a spiritual husband. The removal of these ornaments by the prophet marked a turning point in her marital relationship with IK, her earthly husband. The prophet once more appeared to her in a second dream and advised her to relate well to her husband and make ‘forgiveness’ a watchword in their marriage as there is no perfect person or relationship on earth. By the time she wanted to react to the prophet in the dream, he had vanished having laid a formidable spiritual foundation for the marriage. In his reaction, Mr Ikechukwu thanked the prophet for the effectual reconciliation. He added that they had been to the Mountain to pray in the effort to restore peace and love to their marriage. He once more thanked God and the man of God for the restored peace in their marriage.

MISUNDERSTANDING WORDS OF PROPHECY
The next video clip was among other reasons activated to correct the culpable presumptions among the congregants regarding the import of prophecies issued to them. In the said repartee between Wise Man Christopher and Mrs Ezekwelome,the latter corrected the wise man erroneously about her marital status. When Wise Man Christopher cautioned her to be careful about disappointments, the lady misinterpreted the expression and promptly told the wise man that she was already married. Making himself clearer, the wise man told her that he knew that. He was, on the contrary, simply warning her about the possible collapse of the marriage if care was not taken. Luckily for the wise man, her husband was around to add that he had sent her home the previous week because of her perceived misdemeanour. Defending herself on the last score, Mrs Ezekwelolome, a non working housewife, deprecated the repression she suffered in the hands of her husband who additionally habitually made her account for every kobo she received from him. She strongly felt that her views and wishes to engage in some private business deserved consideration by her husband. In his defence, the husband stated that apart from taking full charge of her education, he had sponsored her trips to France, Egypt and the United States of America. Her recent wish to go to Dubai for business in gold would put the entire family at risk apart from rendering him the sole caretaker of the children. Speaking on behalf of the womenfolk, about four women in the congregation expressed support for the husband and praised him for his consideration for the welfare of the entire family while advising the wife to be contented with the contributions of the husband to her well-being. The prophet, while inviting them to a reconciliation meeting, expressed the view that a marriage where both participants saw themselves as equally gifted in sophistication and intelligence and neither was ready to bow to the other was indeed a difficult one to manage but with God all things are possible.

MAN DELIVERED FROM IMPOTENCE
Mr Ameni Shabani of Congo DRC mounted the platform to confirm his deliverance from impotence last Sunday during the service. He had lost his wife to a houseboy because of his inability to dose sexual gratification to her. He lost his sexual virility when he was made to drink some concoction and wash himself with the water. He said his wife accused her of not finding time for her but added that he spent all his time looking for money for his wife in order to make the home comfortable. Both his wife and the houseboy took advantage of his loss of virility to redefine their relationship and started a sexual intimacy resulting in the loss of the wife to the houseboy. Mr Shabani added that his eloped wife later told him that only one of the two children they had together was his. It was for that reason he decided to leave both children for her till when he hoped to establish his paternity by DNA. Both ex-wife and houseboy now live together in South Africa. In answering the prophet’s question, Shabani stated that it was painful to lose his wife to a houseboy but in his state of loss of manhood then, there was nothing he could do. He was however happy for his deliverance which has put him in a position to consider getting married again. He expressed the hope of coming to The SCOAN after marriage on ‘a thank you mission’ with his new wife. He thanked God and the man of God for his restoration.

INTREPID JOURNEY TO SEE PROPHET
The next testimony was given by a young man, Mr Jeff Katanga from Zambia who came all the way from Zambia crossing not less than seven countries in a very long, tortuous and dangerous journey to Nigeria. The young man in question lost both parents recently in quick succession and found himself the caretaker of his siblings. The only hope for him in the present situation when he suddenly became the father of his siblings was Prophet T. B. Joshua. He saw the prophet as the only man who could offer him and his siblings financial help, going by what he had gleaned from Emmanuel TV. It was for that reason that he borrowed money from a widow and travelled from Zambia through Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, Chad and Cameroon to Nigeria. He particularly had challenges in Sudan which was half way between his country and Nigeria because of the civil war there. He was encouraged in his state of penury and physical exhaustion by the fact that if he could get to the Prophet, his condition would change for the better. He spent a total of thirty days on the way before getting to Nigeria on 19th January 2011. Unlike what many would do, he never wanted to shout to the man of God for help but decided to remain prayerful and fasting till God would reveal him to the prophet. He had decided not to be led by his situation because, as he learnt from Emmanuel TV, in every situation God is saying something. He deliberately took refuge in the vicinity of the church till God would reveal him in his plight to the prophet. Truly, when the prophet became aware of him, he welcomed him with the words, ‘You are in your Father’s house’ and promised him that when he would go back, he would enjoy a flight in contradistinction to the risky manner in which he had travelled to Nigeria. In response to the question on what he would have done supposing he never saw the prophet on arrival, he said he would have nigerianized rather than repeat that ordeal back to Zambia. The man of God praised him for his faith, courage and dogged will to succeed in life assuring him that he could see a bright future for him. The man of God however made it clear that his warm reception of the young man should not serve as an incentive for other young men to embark on such risky journeys. Assuring the congregation of prompt resumption of prophetic worship at 10 am the following day, he piloted the service to a close.

GOD’S INTERVENTION IN THE AFFAIRS OF MEN

Like all the previous ones, the Message of this Sunday service titled, ‘Stay Current’ delivered by Wise Man Racine, was very enlightening and thought-provoking. The atmosphere of the service was so charged with the presence of the Holy Spirit that events that cannot be easily ignored took place even before the time slotted for testimonies. One of these was the immediate healing of Felix, a university student, who for six years had been in a state of mental disorder. His mother, Maria, a law maker in the Benue State House of Assembly, had taken him to many places for treatment but she never achieved the desired result. She decided to bring Felix to The SCOAN after watching the many miracles in the church relayed on Emmanuel TV. Felix was chained by his mother and brought in because of his violent nature. After the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua had prayed for him, he proceeded to unlock the chains. In his newly won freedom, Felix, rather than resorting to vandalism, stretched his hands in acknowledgment of the omnipotence of God and thanked Him for setting him free from the captivity of satan. His mother was no less grateful to God for ending so miraculously the mental disorder of six years. May His name be extolled forever!
Equally enthralling was the arrest of the leader of a gang of armed robbers by the Holy Spirit even before the mass prayer. Dazed in the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit in which he was enmeshed, the leader of the gang willingly took the prophet outside the church to bring in the other members of the gang who were outside. In a moment, three other members of the gang, who were hardly above 21 years in age, accompanied the leader and the prophet into the church. Without any resistance or protest, they knelt down in a corner of the church to later confess their mission. Who can resist the power of God?
One of the many incidents of the previous Sunday service was the vomiting of an egg by one of the congregants moments before the rounding off of the service. The prophet identified him as an armed robber and hired killer. Asked to come forward for a testimony after being hosted by the church for seven days, the young man, who called himself Chidi, confessed that he was 22 and had been involved in robbery for 15 years as he proceeded to narrate his story. He described himself as an international hired assassin and armed robber for which reason he was disowned by his parents. He stated that he had a phone call in another country from his gang members inviting him for an assassination mission in Nigeria. A pastor was to be their victim. As soon as he got the call, he proceeded to prepare himself for the mission by visiting a witch doctor to arm him with the powers of disappearance and invulnerability to gunshots. He also wanted to have the power of foreseeing events well ahead of time. To prepare the charm, he was asked to bring among other items, a virgin and an unborn baby. As he revealed, it was the blood of the unborn baby and some black substances that he swallowed as part of the charm.
Their mission to kill the pastor never succeeded. In fact, he lost all the other members of his gang in the escapade. He suspected The SCOAN as the cause of their woeful failure because they had briefly visited The SCOAN as they went for the mission but found it too hot and uncomfortable for them to while away their leisure, so they left earlier than they had planned. His return to The SCOAN was a revenge mission as he planned to assassinate the founder of the church suspected to be the cause of their failed mission. It was in an effort to actualize his vengeance on the Prophet that the Holy Spirit arrested him and went beyond that to undo all that the witch doctor had planted in him. One of them was commanding the swallowed egg to come out of him.
Among other disclosures by him were that he had killed at least 40 people and had also attempted to use his mother for a money ritual. He never wanted to hear the name, Jesus anywhere he went for operation. He added that his trouble started when he stole a phone in a church, though, before then, he had stolen a laptop somewhere. The prophet planned to invite his parents to the church to witness his acceptance of the Lord and the change in their son.
ANOINTING WATER SAVED A FAMILY IN AN ACCIDENT
Prince Duni Kimde of Lugunda in Adamawa State travelled on the 15th of October from Yola. Before he embarked on the journey, he had prayed with the Anointing Water and sprayed it on himself and his wife. In course of the journey, he thought of buying fuel. Somehow, he was never fully convinced that he should buy in that filling station. As he reluctantly attempted to branch off to buy the fuel, another vehicle smashed his car. The accident caused his car to somersault six times and the car was damaged beyond recognition. There was nothing inside the car that was not affected by the accident. Even the torch that was inside the car was affected. The proof of his miracle was that only himself and his wife that was carrying a four- month pregnancy and the Anointing Water that were not affected in any way by the accident; everything else in the car bore the mark of the accident. Duni and his wife came out without any bruise from the car which was so smashed and mangled that even a fly that was inside it during the accident could hardly be alive after. Truly, it was God at work using the medium of the Anointing Water. Glory be to Jesus!

ANOINTING WRISTBAND FOILS A ROBBERY ATTEMPT IN SHOWUMI’S COMPOUND
At 1 am on Friday, Mr Ibrahim Showumi heard what sounded like a gunshot in his compound but thought it might be a coconut that fell. This incident repeated itself a third time and he came out to see what the sound was. Unfortunately, there was nothing available to give him a clue about the persistent sound. About 4.50 am, his room door was opened by a person he, at first, erroneously thought was his son. Happy that they had at last had access to the person they wanted, the robbers began to hit him with sticks in addition to stabbing him with a bread knife they took from his kitchen but to God’s glory, none of these could do any harm to him. Realising that he had the Anointing Wristband on him, Ibrahim jumped up and shouted, “Jesus!”Noting that this made the thieves stagger, he mustered more confidence to shout the name the more and brought out the framed photograph of T.B. Joshua to show them. Before he knew it, the thieves were on the retreat and he began to chase them. He tried to fetch his Anointing Water to use as an instrument to arrest them but it never came in handy readily. The thieves ran away leaving their torches, wristwatches and knives. Coming back to check his house, Ibrahim noticed that nobody was injured and his son, who shouted from his room during the operation, hid himself under the bed.
The man of God advised that Ibrahim would have ordered them to surrender their guns and other weapons rather than looking for the Anointing Water and they would have obeyed. We thank the Almighty God for coming to the rescue of his son, Ibrahim in those trying hours and also giving him victory over the robbers using the medium of the Anointing Wristband.

ANOINTING WATER HEALED ANSLEM
Mr Anslem Agbonyeme, a police officer of the rank of superintendent injured his ear as he tried to clean it. By October 2009, it had become so severe that Anslem had dizziness and loss of balance as the after effects. He received treatment, among other places, in Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) and the USA. After unsuccessful efforts in the USA, he came to LUTH again where they planned to operate on him. Meanwhile, he had received the Anointing Water from The SCOAN and administered it. As a team of ten doctors surrounded him to perform the operation, they noticed that for the first time in 12 years, water was dripping out of the ear – which was the feat they wanted to achieve in the operation. In joy, they told Anslem of the new development and stopped the operation as God Himself using the medium of the Anointing Water did the operation even more safely than any doctor would do.
He was then advised to ask for the refund of his money. We thank God for His many mediums of restoring health to His children.

THE YEAR OF ANOTHER CHANCE

Spirits were high and countenances fresh as the multitudes thronged to attend the first Sunday Service of the year in The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations. Echoing on the lips of the congregants were the words, “Happy New Year, Happy Another Chance!” Yes, the message for the New Year was clear, The Year of Another Chance.

This was the revelation that Prophet T.B. Joshua had declared during the Candlelight Service on New Year’s Eve. While the world celebrated the beginning of 2011, a message of hope was shared which touched the hearts of all who heard it. “If you are hurt, cheated, disappointed, give them another chance because you are given another chance. Jesus has given us another chance,” said Prophet T.B. Joshua. He explained that our old approach to life must change. Criticising instead of praising, neglecting others, being rude, belittling others’ opinions, using insensitive words – these kinds of attitudes and behaviours would hinder the healing of past hurts (Philemon 1:10,16).

As the thousands inside the auditorium and outside the church lit their candles, they joined together in prayer to thank Jesus for giving them another chance. Prophet T.B. Joshua followed by the entire congregation went on their knees. The man of God committed the congregation and viewers worldwide to God saying, “I commit you to God who is able to make you strong and steady in the Lord.” As the people rose to their feet, victory pervaded the atmosphere as the man of God declared, “What you were supposed to become, this is the year to become it! What you have lost, this is the year to regain it!”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The people danced and sang in appreciation to God as the prophet declared, “The voice of weeping, difficulty, trouble, failure, poverty and sickness shall no longer be heard, in Jesus’ name. (Isaiah 65:19)”

 

 

 

RESCUED FROM RITUALISTS

It was an average morning for Evangelist Ndeanco Ogbonaya as he entered a bus in a busy Lagocian street with 10 other people on board. Suddenly, he became aware of the other men onboard giving each other signs and then the bus came to a standstill while the driver parked by the side of the road. The men came together and changed the number plate. With this suspicious operation complete, the bus was driven three and a half hours into the deep forest. A chemical powder was sprinkled in the bus making it impossible for him to see although he could still hear the conversation of the hijackers. He could hear the men telling the driver, to drive quick because there in failure there was no security. When they arrived at their destination, the occupants of the bus came out, one by one. Sounds of screaming echoed through the forest. Fear struck Ndeanco’s heart as he realized that he was in a ritualist shrine. Evangelist Ndeanco was about to experience brutal inhuman scenes that he would never forget. Stepping down from the vehicle, he was told to look at the heavens and the earth and say his prayers. He was taken to where they killed people with machetes like animals. He saw people being slaughtered, their heads severed from their body and rolling on the ground. When asked if he thought it was good, Ndeanco had no option but to nod his head as he knew that at the slightest inkling, they could kill him in their place. There was a continual flow of people who were brought into the shrine, in bus loads every 45 minutes. There were about 30 buses in total that were routinely sent out on their deadly missions. The people they kidnapped were young and old alike, from different professions and walks of life yet all victims of this brutal act. They made the fatal mistake of entering the wrong bus at the wrong time. Living in fear, Ndeanco began crying silently because they were killing human beings in his presence, created by the living God. When it was his turn, they asked him to say his last prayer. In the moment of his utter desperation, he heard a voice saying, “Call the God of T.B. Joshua”. He started, shocked at the revelation as he had never worshipped in the church of T.B. Joshua during the nine years he had lived in Lagos. He had even listened to rumours that the man was a magician and had vowed that he would never even cross the street of The SCOAN for fear of the magical powers that were reportedly inside. But the voice came, “Call the God of TB Joshua!” As he did so, the man who was about to kill him dropped the sword and a mighty wind descended upon the shrine, stripping the idols of their power.

The ritualists tried to kill him by using many charms and occultist medicines on him which resulted in terrible wounds on his stomach and leg. When their efforts failed, they placed him in a separate room and called their commander as they did not know what to do. On the sixth day, they called Evangelist Ndeanco and said, ‘This God of T.B. Joshua, where did you obtain Him? You must go because you are causing havoc in our kingdom.’ They then blindfolded him and drove almost four hours before dropping him by the side of the road. Out of nowhere, he saw a blue car which stopped. He couldn’t see the face of the driver because it was shining. The mysterious driver didn’t even ask for any direction but just drove him to where he was headed. He dropped him in a place and said that from there, he could get to where he was going. The next thing he knew, Evangelist Ndeanco made his way to The SCOAN where he shared his incredible testimony during the live Sunday Service, giving thanks to God for saving his life.

GOD CAN USE ANY MEDIUM – THE ANOINTING WRISTBAND

For one year, Mrs Comfort Edwin from Abia state, Nigeria had not seen her menstruation. This worrying condition had led her to different hospitals in search of a solution but in vain. Adamant not to enter the new year with this affliction, Mrs Comfort came to The Candlelight Service at The SCOAN. It was there that she witnessed the deliverance of a man possessed of an evil spirit that pushed him to have affairs with animals, who received the Anointing Wristband. Her faith was lifted up and she began praying to receive her own. When she received the Anointing Wristband, she felt something moving in her stomach. She then went to the bathroom and lo and behold, she discovered that she had started her menstruation! Brimming with joy, Mrs Comfort came out to share her testimony during the service that Sunday.

 

HEALED OF CERVICAL CANCER

Life held a terrible stigma for Mrs Tolulope and her husband. For two and a half years, she had been bleeding severely due to cervical cancer which resulted in an embarrassing and offensive odour. The strain began to take its toll on Mrs Tolulope who became pale due to the loss of blood. Each day, she had to leave the office at 1pm as her boss and colleagues began to complain of the odour. The medics were unable to provide a solution and an operation was deemed to be her last hope. It was then that Mrs Tolulope decided to come to the SCOAN to seek the face of God for her divine healing. It was the Candlelight Service and the night that the Anointing Wristband were used a point of contact for many to receive their healing, deliverance and blessing through the power of the Holy Spirit. The moment that Mrs Tolulope received the wristband which bore the word, “Meditation in God’s Word is a visit with Him”, the bleeding miraculously stopped and the odour simultaneously disappeared. The end to her suffering had come.

REVEALING GOD’S POWER

Addressing the assembly in the lull of the adoration music, Prophet T. B. Joshua underscored the fact that our fight is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and demons of all authorities and rankings. As our fight is targeted at demons and principalities, it is not easy to determine our closing time in the Sunday service. In our case, we react proactively to the attack of the devil as and when observed. Demons attack mankind everywhere and every time and we must react as enjoined in Mark 16:17 where God says, in my name you shall cast out all demons. Opening his message with a series of rhetorical questions,
Wise Man Racine enjoined the assembly to be vigilant if they were not to be caught napping when the Lord would arrive. Are you prepared for the coming of the Lord, Jesus Christ? How prepared are you to receive Him? Where will He find you when He comes? He advised the church to wake up. He reminded the congregation that what we see on a daily basis on the street are demons at work in various ways and manners. Demons use able-bodied men to perpetrate atrocities of various descriptions and dimensions against their fellow men as orchestrated by the devil whose pre-occupation is to distract mankind from his Creator, God. Demon’s purpose is to distract man from God. There is an unending war between eternity and things which are intrinsically temporal in nature. A war between Christ and evil which is also the war between the Spirit and flesh is unending, according to him. This he maintained would lead to the topic of his message which is:
THE BATTLE OF THE AGES
Ours is a fight with enemies that we can’t see. He referred the congregation to 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. The weapons of warfare are not carnal, for ours are enemies without flesh. The first place to be victorious is in our mind, he emphasised. It is a war between knowledge and ignorance. He enjoined the congregation to find security in God’s hands. It is in God’s hands that we have victory and blessing. Freedom from fear is in God’s hands. If God is with you, who can be against you? He further reminded the congregation of the Lord’s promise to set a table before you in the presence of your enemies. He advised his listeners to look up to the Lord for eternal victory. Jesus’ victory is a supernatural victory and we should rise up in heart and mind for things above. Our victory is past victory as Jesus, by His victory over the devil, has conquered the world for us. He gave biblical backing to his point by asking the church to open Matthew 4:3 for the Lord’s temptation. The devil tempted Jesus with bread because he knew that after His forty days of fasting and praying, He must be hungry. The devil tempted Jesus to put on a sensational display of power. Jesus, though had all the power, presumed upon the Holy Spirit. This teaches us that the power given to us is not to be exercised at our own will but at the will of God.

BROKEN HOMES AND RECONCILIATION
Mounting the altar in succession to the Wise Man, Prophet T.B. Joshua x-rayed the various problems challenging the unity in many families today. In many cases, he went on, families don’t go together to church because there isn’t unity enough in the family to justify that. Even in the same church, husband and wife sit far apart to be comfortable. All this, he maintained, is the work of the devil. The nature of the man’s job could be a source of disunity as wife and children will not be happy to wake up at 4am for family prayer to enable the man to go to work early. So, when there is unity on the outside, there might be disunity on the inside. Many of your children might not accept your faith but would embrace your money.

A HOUSE ON FIRE
The man of God directed that the video clip on a prophecy relating to the Nworah family be visited. The clip revealed the psychological turmoil in the mind of Mrs Rose Nworah following a strange phone number she discovered in her husband’s phone. Dialling the phone number in suspicion and anxiety, Mrs Rose Nworah received the shocking news told, with utmost disdain, by a girl her husband nicknamed Baby-Baby. The girl in question had been regaling herself in an illegal sexual relationship with her husband. As Baby-Baby herself put it, in reaction to Mrs Nworah’s phone call, “I have been enjoying your husband for quite some time and in fact, I am now pregnant for him.” What unspeakable effrontery! What a heart-shattering and mind-numbing insolence! What culpable sacrilege of cultural and biblical norms! The reality of the matter, as explained by Mrs Nworah, is that for quite some time the relationship between the couple had gone sour. The man’s amorous yearning for the woman had atrophied. Much to the chagrin of the woman, the husband never relished her meals anymore; they never slept together nor was the man interested in going out together with the wife ostensibly because of his newly discovered Baby-Baby, who incidentally hails from the same village in Anambra, Nigeria as the husband. Rose, the wife felt disadvantaged by this communal relationship between her husband and Baby-Baby as she, herself is a Ghanaian. In spite of the ethnic difference between the couple, the wife cherishes the marriage and had always jettisoned people’s negative comments and wishes about the marriage. She so loves him that she declares her affection for him to be time defiant because, as she says, her love is for ever and for ever she will love him. In his defence, Mr Uchenna Nworah acknowledged the girl as his community girl but denied putting her in a family way. Taking this as an episode for sermonising before giving his verdict, the prophet drew attention to the beauty of the woman and remarked, in confirmation of the Bible, that the battle is not necessarily for the swiftest and that is why, according to him, there are many beautiful women who, in spite of their beauty, live by prostitution in hotels today while many ugly ones are happily married. He added that beauty in the inside is more important than outward appearance. He therefore enjoined his listeners to seek deliverance in this regard. On the issue in question, the man of God declared that their marriage is from God and the so-called pregnancy claims by Baby-Baby were a mere hoax minted out to create bad blood between the couple. In total relief, the woman wore a smiling look and reiterated her yearnings to bear him all her children and love him forever. Hugging each other in their renewed matrimony, both husband and wife were delivered.

The next prophecy mentioned a woman, who in her dreams would see herself cutting the head of a goat which, on completion, would turn out to be one of her children receiving the machete cut. A few days after the dream, the affected child would fall sick and die. No sooner the prophecy was given than a woman emerged to claim the prophecy as hers because she had mysteriously lost three children in the process enunciated in the prophecy. Mrs Janet Peter from Kogi State confirmed the prophecy for herself and added that she had visited many pastors in that regard, in the hope of getting deliverance but all in futility. Developing this strand of the issue, the prophet told the church that it is hardly possible for any pastor to issue deliverance that is predicated on a dream or tale by a victim or sufferer. Deliverance, he submitted, is only possible and efficacious if the issue is revealed to the pastor by the Holy Spirit and the pastor divulges it by way of a prophecy to the person affected. Mrs Peter also disclosed her propensity to eat in dreams. The man of God assured her of deliverance. Many other prophecies, some of intriguing nature, were given and claimed by various congregants after which they were delivered and reassured of a more fruitful life in Christ. God, according to the prophet, has intended that His people should not grope in ignorance and consequently perish. He has, on the contrary, planned that a prophet should be among them. Through the prophet, God has intended to reveal essential information to them for their edification, survival and growth. However, this fact is not appreciated by many people and so, such people deride the prophets of God. The prophet is the only book after all books but which is not available in the market.

The prophet is the mind of God. He thereafter referred to a prophecy relating to Kenya which was issued the previous Sunday in the service. In the said prophecy, the prophet talked of seeing a place in Kenya where people drink and which would be attacked. It was therefore a warning sounded to those who would believe the prophet. This prophecy is confirmed in media reports that a police officer in central Kenyan town went on a shooting rampage killing ten people in different bars. The shooting spree happened late Saturday in Siakago 150 km North East of Nairobi.
The prophet went into prayer with the congregation as the Wise Men laid their hands on members of the congregation. He prayed that the light of God must shine no matter what the devil does, adding by way of more spirited prayer, that every power limiting the congregation must loose its grip.

The first fall-out from the mass prayer was a woman from Asaba, Delta State who in spiritual manifestation, confessed that she was ‘ogbanje’(an agent of satan, often born to die) and had been directed to use her powers to kill her husband. She however, according to her, would not do that because she loved her husband very much.

The second was a prophecy by the man of God in which he saw a royal father or king among the congregation wearing a charm. He therefore asked the unnamed royal father to come out into the open of his own volition. A frail- looking old man in regal attire emerged from the congregation in response to the prophecy and declared himself as the one at whom the prophecy was directed. The royal father declared his willingness to remove the charm and identify with Jesus Christ. However, in recognition of his age and regal status, the prophet never allowed him to be stripped for the charm in the public gaze. The royal father thanked God for pointing him out adding that the charm had rendered him senile and incapable of identifying any of his fifty children. He was however, told that his sickness was the result of a charm he trod on in the past.

Another prophecy was given relating to a witchdoctor who had killed seven of his children and instilled fear in the entire community leading, in some cases, to a pandemonium as the gods were on the prowl in the village. The man, as the prophecy revealed, had taken to his heels to the church to seek refuge. The witchdoctor revealed, in confirmation of the prophecy that his wife had been disabled by the same gods and might die soon if proactive reaction was not in the offing. By the action of the gods, according to the witchdoctor, they had disappointed him and he would disappoint them in retaliation by identifying himself with Christ and annihilating them. He said he inherited the gods from his fore-fathers and had built a house for them. He appealed to the man of God for deliverance so that he would survive the present threat to his life.
The man of God frowned at the old man for killing his children and also endangering the lives of the village people with the gods. As the issue unfolded, it became clear that many people in the assembly had not gone to their villages for the past ten years and more because of evil practices that witchdoctors in these villages had perpetrated on the innocent people. The man of God planned a mass prayer for such people who had been afraid to go to their villages so as to fortify them spiritually and encourage them to re-unite with their families in the village. Following the incessant plea by the witchdoctor who feared he might die if the man of God ignored him, the man of God pitied him and promised to deliver him for the Lord. Earlier, the prophet had intimated to him that he had not included some of his most powerful gods in the train of gods he displayed. The man of God mentioned some snakes and tortoises that constituted some of the most dangerous gods he had. The witchdoctor confessed that those ones were too dangerous for him to toy with.
The Sunday service had too much in package in form of deliverance and healing for one day and so a continuation service was arranged for the following day, Monday 8th November, 2010 beginning at 12 noon.

GOD’S WORD WORKS WONDERS

TO HIS POWER NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE
In a spirited sermon to awaken the congregation to the power of God,

Prophet T. B. Joshua reminded the Church of the greatness of God and His ready disposition to forgive sins, however grievous some of these sins may be. In his words God is capable of doing anything and also forgiving any sin. To His power nothing is impossible. Breaking in on the choral music which had been reverberating all over the Church and to which the congregation responded in unison with elegant steps, Prophet T. B. Joshua enthusiastically spoke on the forgiving spirit of God with copious illustrations. In his words, the past is forgiven. We have seen a sinner’s character healed, the drunkard becoming sober, the harlot becoming chastened and the liar becoming truthful. “What then is the fear?” he asked the congregation. He spiritedly reminded his listeners that if they trust in God, that trust will save them. Trusting in the suffering of Christ is enough to save us, deliver us and make us whole. He concluded the sermon by advising the congregation to remain in trust.

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?

Wise Man John Chi introduced his message with a series of questions. How do we achieve a desired goal? Who wants to be saved? What must I do to be saved? He aptly referred the congregation to Acts 16: 29-32 which provided the answer to his questions: Believe in the Lord and you will be saved. According to him, God has promised salvation for whoever shall trust His Son. Race, age brackets, academic qualifications, wealth or any other attribute cannot save us outside Christ. If you are willing to be saved, Jesus is willing. Jesus brings hope and succour to those who trust Him. He is the bread to the hungry and road map to the lost. Whatever you are, you need Christ to be saved. God has a role to play in your salvation just as you too have a role to play. It takes your willingness and God’s ability to bring about your salvation.
Our hearts and minds must be reset to agree with God’s plan for our lives. You must get rid of those things that derail you from God. You cannot experience peace under the dominion of satan. Satan is sin. Another name for satan is sin.

Quoting Psalm 51:7 as a reference text the Wise Man admonished the congregation on the need to be cleansed of sins. According to him King David saw the need to be cleansed. Wash me with water whiter than snow and remove all impurity. David knew he would not have place in God’s kingdom unless he was washed from sins. In his sins, David could not see anything other than the fruit of sin: failure in the family, in the battle field etc. Unless you are cleansed of your sins, your blessing will receive challenges. The attitude of repentance and faith in your heart keeps you closer to God. Mistakes are correctable. If you make a mistake, don’t run from God; run to Him. Because David ran to God in spite of his sins, he remains one of the greatest Kings in Israel today. Your Father in Heaven has anticipated your sins and prepared for you. You have not committed an unpardonable sin. Our lives are in God’s hand and we cannot please Him without a thorough reformation of heart and life. God requires a heart that does not bear grudges. Doubts and unbelief put us on the wrong track. Jesus loves you just as He does any of His children. Jesus is able to forgive all our sins, he concluded.

THE SPIRIT OF APOSTLE PAUL HAS ARRIVED IN MACEDONIA
Wise Man, Harry and his wonderful performances in Macedonia attracted his comments. The prophet told the congregation that the crusade in Macedonia attracted a large turn out of participants. It was so wonderful and even comparable to those spiritually hosted by the prophet himself in Indonesia and Singapore. It had to be extended to the following day i.e. Sunday and Monday. Wise Man, Harry also revealed to Prophet T. B. Joshua his vision to be in Macedonia especially close to Paul and Silas’s prison for tourists to see the wonders of God.
A clip on the wonderful works being performed by Wise Man, Harry surfaced on the screen and the congregation watched with rapt interest.

RECONCILIATION OF BROKEN HOMES

Mr and Mrs Ifah brought out their children and Mrs Ifah, the spokesperson accused their daughter, Judith of witchcraft before the entire congregation. She narrated how a baby of hers died mysteriously after a period of excessive stooling. She painted a picture of lack of peace in their family and of the sickness of her husband which had defied healing.

The daughter, Judith Ifah confessed to being a witch and added that it was the result of the fruit juice which she accepted from one of her classmates. She said she told her mother the dream she had after taking the juice and her mother prayed for her. She revealed that the giver of the juice asked her to bring their baby to the coven and that was the cause of the baby’s death. She said that she ate the baby. She also revealed how she was advised to use a rope to tie her father to his bed and cause his health to deteriorate. All these feats would attract to her a second position in the witchcraft world.
In reaction, Prophet T.B. Joshua advised parents to bring up their children in the way of the Lord to have peace. The child in question was left in the hands of satan because of the parents’ carelessness. The prophet pronounced Judith a witch or demon possessed as presented by the parents.

He then asked the parents to lay hands on her and ask every unclean spirit to leave her. That was how Judith was delivered. The prophet however warned both parents not to call her a witch after the deliverances.

INTERNET VICTIM
A lady by name Memory, from Zimbabwe but living in South Africa confessed how she was hoodwinked promises of monetary offers on the internet. She was taught incantations which she mastered but none of the promises materialised. Instead, her marital home became bedevilled with problems to such an extent that she used the police to eject her husband from the home. She then pleaded with the man of God for deliverance. At the exclamation of the name, Jesus by one of the evangelists she fell down and was delivered.

ACCUSATION OF WITCHCRAFT

One Emmanuel Chijoke and his relations all of the Abraham family from Enugu complained about the problems of setback and deaths in their family attributing all this to their mother.
The genesis of the accusation was a crusade in Abuja at which one of Emmanuel’s cousins was a participant and where he was told by a man of God there that their mother was the brain behind all the woes in the family. The said man of God was then invited to Enugu where he confirmed his earlier vision that their mother was a witch and that only her head and shoulders was human; the chest down to the feet was vulture in appearance. Surprisingly to the family, their mother could not refute the accusation by the man of God. She complained that at that time, her eyes, ears and mouth were muffled and she could not talk.

She then challenged the family to take her to anywhere and they would realise that she is not a witch. This was the reason they came to the SCOAN.

In his verdict, the man of God pronounced the woman witchcraft negative and ordered the children to kneel down to her in apology.

FOOT ULCER HEALED
Before the prayer line, the participants of which were zoomed on the screen,

HIV AIDS TESTIMONIES
Three men and three women who were healed of HIV AIDS came to give their testimonies. Among them who spoke was 27 year old Mrs Motunrayo Sowemimo,
who was tested positive with Hiv aids type one in the Federal Ministry of Health, Abuja.

After the prayer line where she was declared free, she said she became stronger and ate with more relish.

She went back to the same hospital for another test but thanks to God, she was Hiv negative this time.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFICIARIES
Miss Oduwole Olayinka, a youth worker in the church who came bagged 1st class (Electrical/Electronics), University of Lagos also got a scholarship award from the Church to do a Master degree in one of the best universities in the world. She consequently applied for admission and was offered same in three good universities in the United Kingdom. These were the Universities of Southampton, Edinburgh and that of Surrey.
She picked the University of Southampton as the best and the Church paid a total sum of £13,900 as her fees. Later and in consonance with the man of God’s crave for the best, the University College, London, offered her admission. Without hesitation, she changed her mind and picked the latest offer. A total sum of £18,245 was paid as fees for her to start classes on the 11th of October 2010.
The man of God seized the opportunity to advise the congregation to always look for the needy to help rather than waiting at home for the needy to come to them. In this way, according to the prophet, they would not be helping the wrong people.

THERE IS POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS

Another Sunday Service at The Synagogue, Church of All Nations and all we have to say is ‘Thank You Jesus’! From touching family reconciliations, shocking satanic confessions to remarkable healing testimonies, it was yet another action-packed riveting service that proved beyond all doubt that Jesus is alive and His power is still at work today. Full of practical lessons for life, faith-building experiences, words of wisdom and the raw, real power of God, both the thousands of congregants at The SCOAN and the multitudes of viewers on Emmanuel TV would agree unanimously after these extraordinary events that Jesus is truly the same yesterday, today and forever!

In an enlightening message titled ‘The Name Of Jesus Has Power’ drawn from the scripture in Mark 9 detailing the account of the father of the demon possessed boy and his encounter with Jesus, Prophet T.B. Joshua explained, “There is power in the Name of Jesus indeed, but only among those who are committed to the glory of God.” He spoke of the need to have absolute trust in God, stating that some measure of trust would only enable us to do some, not all. “When we express the necessary trust in Christ Jesus, His duty, I mean, His work is to raise us from death to life and then restore the wholeness and fellowship,” he admonished. Speaking on the purpose of God’s power and its incredible effects on a person’s life, TB Joshua said, “One of the reasons God gives us His power is to confirm that what we are speaking is from Him… Once the supernatural power of God comes upon you, then something is going to happen to you that cannot be explained by the human mind.” It was a powerful message backed up by the prophet’s own extensive experience in the ministry. “When you see a good doctor, he should be able to explain himself when he gets to the laboratory,” he noted.

After hearing God’s Word, it was time to move on to a more practical aspect – the ministry of reconciliation. In lieu of the recent confessions of families whose homes have been torn apart due to varying allegations and different situations, yet another touching case was brought to the light. It was that of Mrs Better Keke who had come to The SCOAN with a whole horde of villagers who had been sent to ascertain the truth from God. Before listening to their story, TB Joshua reminded the people of the need not to judge those they were about to hear from but rather learn from them. “Our response to someone who makes a mistake can also be a mistake,” he emphasised.

It all began, Mrs Keke explained, after the tragic death of a young man in a car accident. “At his funeral, a voice suddenly spoke to me telling me to confess I was the one who killed him,” Keke said. As the strange voice continued to speak to Better over the coming days telling her to confess what she did not do, her musical leader Evan. Elvis Osita confronted her that she had a confession to make, a revelation he said he came to after 30 days of fasting and prayer. As the voice grew within grew stronger, subsequent events led Mrs Keke to publically confess in a church that she was a witch and responsible for countless atrocities in the village, including the accident that killed the young man. In the same vein, she also accused one of her close friends, a teacher by profession, of witchcraft, an event that led to parents pulling children out of her school. In a whirlwind of events, others accused Evan. Elvis of masterminding the boy’s death and being a wizard. The situation had grown so serious that the king of their village in Delta decided to hear God’s opinion and find out who-is-who. Thus the large party had set out to The SCOAN to hear from Prophet TB Joshua the voice of God which would put a rest to the endless rumours and counter-accusations.

“When you look at your family, you have the traces of mental disorder,” the prophet said. Mrs Keke confirmed that one of her aunties was afflicted with a severe mental problem. “The spirit speaking to her is not that of witches or wizards – it is a brain problem. She’s not a witch,” T.B. Joshua declared. “If you ask her, she will tell you she has a chronic headache, and sometimes her eyes will be bringing water,” he prophesied. She confirmed it to be a reality. T.B. Joshua then prayed for her in the power of the Holy Spirit, commanding the spirit of mental disorder to leave. The truth had finally been revealed. As for Evan. Osita, the prophet said he has no trace of evil in him and was innocent of the accusation, but warned him about jumping to conclusions based on feelings and packaging them as spiritual revelations. The teacher who had further been accused, Mrs Gloria Uduarighe, was also vindicated by the man of God, who further assured her that the children would return to her school now the truth had been revealed. “My people of Delta, what they are saying against this lady are pure lies,” he announced. Hon. Alex Izogo, one of the representatives sent by the king, capped off the experience with a final word. “This thing has torn our community apart. But what you have said now is the final solution to this problem.”

More cases of broken homes and subsequent reconciliation followed, including that of Jubili Umerere whose two children had confessed responsibility for the calamities that had befallen their entire family. Her husband had gone to the extent of purchasing acid with the intent of killing the children said to have rendered them homeless and jobless, before they came to The SCOAN. The issue had severely affected the extended family, with the kids also confessing responsibility for the barrenness of Mrs Umerere’s sister Blessing Obarhua. After listening to their experiences, T.B. Joshua revealed that the children were not witches, but their images were simply being used by evil forces. He concluded in prophesying that Mrs Blessing would give birth to a baby girl, and the fortunes of the family were bright.

Following reconciliation came a time of prayer for deliverance. “There are three people in our midst who have evil spirits,” T.B. Joshua prophetically declared before ushering the people into a time of prayer. Almost immediately following the prayer, the power of God swept throughout the auditorium exposing the darkness in the lives of the people. A man, who simply called himself Tony, fell to the ground as the evil within him began to manifest. Later, during the second service, he shared his morbid experience. “I went to a herbalist in Anambra State, who made a concoction out of a premature baby and a human tongue for me to use,” he confessed. The charm was supposed to bring him good fortune but instead began to appear physically to him such that he ran away from home to Lagos. But each night, the concoction would appear to him in the guise of a demonic human being, demanding him to bring things in order to satisfy his thirst for blood. Two people died as a result, and out of fear for his life, Tony ran to The Synagogue.

As T.B. Joshua ministered to him in the power of the Holy Spirit, he prophetically declared that there was another brother in the midst of the congregation who possessed evil. Picking him out, a tall man dressed in white emerged from the crowd to be told by the prophet that he should bring the charms he had placed outside the church. In a mixture of shock and awe, the man turned and came out of the church subsequently to return minutes later clutching two plastic bags filled with charms. “You are a witchdoctor,” the prophet said, which the man confirmed to be true. Explaining how he had inherited the charms from his father, the man gave a chilling account of how a spiritual figure appeared to him every night demanding for his blood. The man of God said he would have to confess everything, and invited him to come back with his entire family.

As always, the prayer line produced some outstanding miracles, with the prayer of faith being offered and the power of God transforming people from sickness to good health. Among the many cases was that of Mrs Teresa Igwebo, a retired school matron who had been confined to a wheelchair for the past 8 years following a stroke and enlargement of the heart. The 64 year old who came from Enugu State could scarcely believe it when she was told to rise and walk in the name of Jesus, but supernaturally she rose up and took her first few steps of freedom. The joy beaming from her face on realising the pains were gone and she could finally walk, Mrs Igwebo thanked Jesus profusely for her remarkable healing.

Her testimony echoed that of thousands who came to The SCOAN on Sunday 16th May 2010 in sickness and sorrow only to leave in joy and freedom, knowing that truly – Emmanuel, God is with us! What a God we have to worship; what a Son we have to praise; what a future lies before us!

THIS IS GOD IN HIS EXCELLENT GLORY

The early morning clouds opened with joy as usual on this Sunday morning. As early as one could imagine, thousands of people began thronging into the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations. Some eager to get a seat in the front row with hope and expectation that Prophet T.B. Joshua would tell them God’s opinion about themselves.
Not long after that, the choristers began ministering melodious songs in the realm of praise and worship as the atmosphere was charged with high expectations of what the Lord would do through their praises as the bible says in Psalm 22:3 that the Lord inhabits the praises of his people. The voices of the congregation rang out in unison, glorifying the awesomeness and magnificence of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Soon Prophet T.B. Joshua clad in a smart wine suit arrived in the congregation to join them in the praise and worship. He promptly began his message which was titled IS IT FROM GOD? He began with his proof text from the Book of Matthew. 17:1-5. He said from the proof text, God himself applied this to our Lord Jesus Christ. He reminded the congregation that Jesus is the word by whom God speaks to us. He said this is why God powerfully excites and effectually engages us to speak and write what He has put in our mouth so that we are moved by the Holy Ghost in what we deliver, preach and teach. As the will and mind of God, we are moved by the Holy Ghost who inspires and dictates to us what we are to deliver.
He further went on to say that the Holy Ghost is the supreme agent, and we, as people of God, are mere instruments. The Holy Ghost so wisely and carefully assists and directs us in delivering what we have received from Him. He quoted the book of John 15:3 and John 8:12. He enjoined the congregation to always have a look of faith to Jesus saying ‘what a means of blessing is the look of faith to Jesus – there is light, life, perfect health in fact everything’. He then asked by what mark may we discover a cheat, a fake or a fraud in the church? He answered by saying that if Jesus is the word by whom God speaks to us and promises to guide us, then if a person gives us any sign or foretells something to come and the event is not according to his prophecy or prediction, we may come to the conclusion that he (such a person) is not sent of God; because Jesus wisely and carefully assists and directs us in the delivery of what we have received from Him so that we would not make a mistake. So the very words of the scripture are to be accounted as the word of the Holy Ghost and that all the plainness and simplicity; all the power and virtues of the very word of God. He brought down his message saying that not only must they have God’s word to be a Pastor, they need God’s spirit as well, for man has the ability to preach but the Holy Ghost preaches as He wills. God’s word refreshes the mind and His spirit renews strength. As Men of God, if we have God’s word without God’s spirit, we become philosophers.

Scholarship Scheme
After this message, appeared the students for the scholarship scheme who came from various parts of the world to collect their school fees for another session. You would see kids and students of all ages, some orphaned, some physically challenged and their parents, some who are widows and their children are inculcated into the scholarship scheme which is funded by Prophet T.B. Joshua and the Emmanuel T.V. Partners.
Among them was Mrs Philomena Sunday Abumere, a widow with nine children who had been blessed with a huge sum of N500,000. This is a woman who before the help was picking food from waste bins and rubbish dump sites to feed her nine children. She was so full of joy for what God had done for her and you could see the glory of God shining in a family that was once desolate and poverty stricken. Her children were also among those who are benefiting from the scholarship scheme. Other beneficiaries were Blessing Okiru, a 100 level Accounting student, Patience Okenyi, a 200 level university student. Among them also were Abosede , a high school orphan living with her old grandmother and 2 brothers, Paul Okoye, a student from Anambra State and Mr kassim Ogunsanwo, a dwarf married with 4 children also came out to testify to the goodness of God in his life and in his family. Not only were they blessed with their school fees but each family also went home with gifts of bags of rice.

Broken home and reconciliation
It was reconciliation time for the family of Mr Opuuh, Mrs Mariam Bakori, Pere Johnson, Mrs Ijeoma, Mrs Blessing and Pastor Paul Okoto and a host of others. Pastor Paul Okoto’s story was outstanding as the man of God always says that Christians should not allow their situation to mislead them. Pastor Paul Okoto narrated his story saying that it all began when he started experiencing problems in his family, such as financial setback, two brothers sick with mental disorder and series of deaths in the family. This prompted him to pray and fast to find out the cause of his problem. It was then God revealed to him that his mother was the root cause of the whole problem and so he began his fact finding mission. He said he was cleaning his mother’s kitchen one day when he discovered a charm. He took it to his church where it was revealed that it was a witch’s charm. They informed him that the mother’s powers also included a hawk’s head. In anger and frustration he seized his mother and inquired about the hawk’s head from her. He said his mother denied it and so he locked the door and beat her mercilessly until she produced the so called hawk’s head. There and then the mother cursed him. The man of God then admonished him not to wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers in high places. Prophet T.B. Joshua instructed him to go and bring his mother for reconciliation. Mrs Mariam Bakori and others like her were delivered through the anointing water for healing and deliverance which they administered themselves.
Prayerline
At the Synagogue Church of All Nations prayerline, were people with various sicknesses and diseases from various parts of the world. There were teams from Korea, Botswana, Malawi, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Africa, Holland, Ghana and a host of other countries who thronged to the church expecting Jesus Christ to do what he has promised in their lives by using the Man of God T.B. Joshua to set them free from their ailments. Among those who were set free was Nixon Oliobi, a 35year old young man from Germany stricken with the problems Osteonecrosis and using a knee brace, he also had the problem of a foot plant pain. All this had crippled him for 5 years. When it came to his turn to be healed, the man of God T.B. Joshua, stretched his hand in the name of Jesus and touched the weak ankles and lo and behold he rose up shouting ‘Thanking you Jesus, I am healed’. His knee braces were removed and he walked briskly again as if nothing had ever happened to him. Our God is indeed a wonderful God, mighty to save! Also healed from the difficulty in walking was Mr Henry Jirgi, who came from Kaduna with the problem of difficulty in walking due to lumbar spondylosis. Another spectacular healing was that of Mrs Esther Edevor who came from Delta State, crippled with the problem of inability to walk for 2 years due to Kidney problems. Her young daughter, sister and son came to the Synagogue Church of All Nations believing that God would meet them at the point of need. How elated they were when the man of God T.B. Joshua came and prayed for their mother and sister and immediately she rose up and began to walk. This was what she could not do for 2 years. Glory be to God!
Mass prayer
The man of God started his prayers by asking the congregation to put themselves in the position of the father of the demon possessed who cried “I believe, help my unbelief”. This meant though they were in a position but not the right position to attract God’s attention and commitment.
Also, the mass prayer was a powerful prayer session as those who were demon possessed came out wailing because they could not resist the fire of the Holy Spirit. They were then delivered and set free. Then began the healing prayer session where different people from various ends of the auditorium healed of various ailments.
This service was indeed Holy Spirit filled more than ever before. Lest I forget, that the SCOAN is never short of dignitaries from various parts of the world coming to fellowship with God’s people in Nigeria. Commenting on the service, Mr Teofilo Lourenco De Almedia from Angola said that Emmanuel T.V has always been his favourite Christian station because of it’s life changing messages and the day’s message was non the less refreshing and invigorating. He emphasised the need for Christians to be closer to Jesus Christ and encouraged all to keep watching ETV.
All in all, I believe I spent my day well as I joined the prayer sessions and discovered that God is not far from me and that His power is unchanging, He is the same yesterday, today and for ever. Distance is indeed not a barrier. Just tune in and see God in action. Spend your time with the right source, the right channel and your time will be well spent. He is faithful and powerful to those who are faithful to him.

PROPHECY… A GIFT BEYOND HUMAN IMAGINATION

“This Is A Shock!”
Getting to the bottom of people’s problems was prevalent when T.B. Joshua also known as ‘the man in the Synagogue’ gave personal prophetic messages to many in his service at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations who had almost given up hope. It was just the soothing medicine Archbishop Andrew Ndubano from Botswana needed. T.B. Joshua explained his situation in a prophecy that Ndubano was a man of God but that he wanted to abandon the ministry after three ministers who had been under him went to the river for baptism and drowned.

Ndubano got to the point where he almost gave up hope and it was at that point that God used T.B. Joshua to speak life into his hopeless situation through the message of prophecy. T.B. Joshua started the prophecy with the encouraging words, “Don’t give up. God loves you.” He continued, “I know you are facing so much destruction and they are giving you a name that you use evil powers. You are in between decision – to leave the ministry and rest. You have many branches. You have got to a crossroads. Don’t give up.” Shocked by the accurate word of prophecy from a man he had never spoken to before but who stated the events exactly as they had occurred in his life, Ndubano, overcome by emotion, broke down in tears in front of The SCOAN congregation.

Picking up in the spirit the thoughts of his heart, T.B. Joshua asked Ndubano, “What is the cause of these thoughts? Ndubano responded, “They said they will kill me.” Reassuringly, T.B. Joshua said, “I’m seeing you as a minister of God. What happened has happened. There’s no trace of evil from you”. The prophecy was the salve for every sore that Ndubano had suffered. God in His infinite mercy had used one of His servants, Prophet T.B. Joshua to vindicate another of His servants – Archbishop Ndubano.

Later during the service, T.B. Joshua conducted an exclusive interview with Ndubano, the latter’s wife at his side. Viewers worldwide who tuned into Emmanuel TV saw written on their television screens clearly who the man T.B. Joshua was interviewing, live, “Archbishop Andrew Ndubano of St Johns Apostolic Faith Ministry, Botswana.” In talking to Ndubano, T.B. Joshua addressed the family of the three ministers that died in the unfortunate incident, “The three pastors the case concerns – we know they have families and I want to invite the families. I know in Botswana they will be watching. I want to be part of the families. I want to tell them we love them. Thank God the three pastors died as Martyrs. I want to give an invitation to the families for a full reconciliation.” T.B. Joshua also said that he wanted the families to come for counselling.

Ndubano’s response: “I just want to point out that I was just in the midst. I’d not met the Prophet before. He just picked me out from the crowd. This is a shock. He just picked me out and said, ‘You’re a man of God.’ My conscience is free; I’m no longer bound in chains. I am very pleased because the people he invited believe in the prophecy of the Holy Spirit. Prophecy is never a lie”. Sharing her husband’s joy, Ndubano’s wife said, “Glory be to God. I’m happy because my husband is free.”

Having reached a crossroads, Ndubano was no longer in between decisions. Thanks to the prophecy which declared him innocent of the accusation levelled against him, he decided not to abandon the ministry. It was a lesson to all those watching that, “Anything close to Jesus receives attack” and that, “No matter how close we are to Jesus, there are some unchangeable events that prayer and fasting cannot change. Just as fire cannot destroy gold, so also, hard times cannot destroy you as a Christian.” – T.B. Joshua.

A Whitish thing In The Sky
Many watched in awe as prophecies of international significance given by T.B. Joshua come to pass. Video footage of the confirmation was aired live. One concerned ‘a whitish thing in the sky’. At the beginning of the year in January 2010, Prophet T.B. Joshua gave a prophetic message concerning something that he saw in the sky that would have negative effects. He gave a call to fast and pray on Thursday, mentioning a natural disaster – something falling like a whitish thing that would stop the whole system that would come from the hill – a strange thing. On Thursday 15th April, 2010, the very day mentioned by Prophet T.B. Joshua, a massive cloud of volcanic ash (whitish in colour) following a volcanic eruption in Iceland drifted into European airspace, grounding all flights and leaving tens of thousands of passengers stranded across Europe and affecting businesses worldwide. The disaster affecting at least 22 European countries had brought European airspace to a standstill. The negative effects of the volcanic ash were widespread. News from the media reported negative effects to aircraft, people’s health and disruption on a scale unprecedented. World leaders including President Obama who planned to attend the funeral of President Lech Kaczynski in Poland on Sunday remained in limbo as volcanic ash from Iceland continued to ground flights to and from Europe.

China Earthquake
Prophet T.B. Joshua also gave a prophetic message concerning an earthquake that would happen in the nation of China and cause a big destruction. He said he could see a disaster in China – a situation where nothing would work, no schools, nothing, people would die and there would be nowhere for people to run to. The Prophet also spoke about the weather conditions mentioning that the weather would be extremely cold. On Wednesday 14th April 2010, the prophecy happened. News broke out that a massive earthquake had hit the nation of China causing a big destruction and leaving many hundreds dead and ten thousand injured. Homes and schools were destroyed and thousands were left in extremely cold weather conditions, without shelter. The Prophet commented that time would not permit to air the other prophecy confirmations, one of which concerned the recent assassination of an Indian politician during a public meeting in broad daylight

“Thank You, Jesus; I can Walk!”
Perhaps one of the most amazing happenings in the service was God’s mercy and favour towards many sick and afflicted people in the overflow crowd outside the church auditorium – about a four minute walk from where the man of God was preaching. Using the name of Jesus Christ in prayer and without seeing or even touching them, T.B. Joshua in the anointing of the Lord prayed for the healing of many both inside and outside the church (overflow) and they were miraculously healed. Glory, a young lady from Delta State, Nigeria was among those who experienced that the right hand of God is power. After an accident rendering her unable to walk, she hobbled painfully on crutches.

She was miraculously healed in the overflow section during the prayer and she exclaimed: “Thank You, Jesus, I can walk!” and indeed she walked the four minute stretch from where she was healed in the overflow right into the church auditorium to share her touching testimony. Throwing away her crutches, Glory stated that she no longer had any need of them. Needless to say, Glory who truly experienced the glory of God was ecstatic!

A Sermon To Touch The Heart
It was a message that spoke to everyone – a message that raised a question to which everyone had the same answer… “Who Needs Forgiveness?” The lively congregation of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations responded in one accord with the common answer, “I do!” T.B. Joshua had all meticulously tuned to his thought provoking message which, without a doubt, must have touched the hardest of hearts. The message – Who Needs forgiveness? – delivered by T.B. Joshua on 18th April 2010 during the live Sunday service caused many a man (and woman) to look inwards and see the need for a change of heart. And just in case there were any self-acclaimed perfect individuals amongst the congregation, the Prophet ‘set the record straight’ by quoting the Book of books – the Holy Bible: “One thing is clear”, he said, “ ‘All have sinned and fallen short of the glory’ ”(Romans 3:23). The man of God immediately encouraged the congregation whether they fell into the category of ‘righteous and holy’ or ‘guilty and condemned’ by saying, “Whether your sins are great or small, Jesus is able to forgive them”.

Reminding them of the initial question he had asked them at the beginning, “Who needs forgiveness?” Smiling, T.B. Joshua said, “I am happy that you know that you need forgiveness. Forgiveness of sin strikes the root of all pain, all discomfort. When you are forgiven you are healed, redeemed and blessed. T.B. Joshua’s teaching enabled many to discover the root cause of their problems. The answer was made simple: earnestly seek God’s forgiveness as forgiveness of sin strikes the root of all pain.

The Prophet seemed to hit the nail on the head when he said, “You have many questions going through your mind. One of the questions: ‘Why do your problems keep recurring?’ They keep recurring simply because you are dealing with the problem, rather than the cause of the problem…” It was a real eye-opener for many, challenging them to get to the ‘bottom’ of their problems once and for all! The reader might also dare rise to the challenge.

Justice Defence and Security Minister of Botswana
Several VIP’s were also present at the live service including Ramadeluka Seretse – Justice Defence and Security Minister of Botswana – an active participant in The SCOAN service. In sharing his experience at the end of the service, he commented on how much he had enjoyed the service and strongly encouraged leaders – those in positions of authority to tune in to Emmanuel TV and those who already tuned – to keep on watching.

TB JOSHUA WARNS AMERICA

During the first few weeks of January, 2010, TB Joshua read out from a typed written list, prophecies for the year. One list concerned other nations across the world; whereas, the other list concerned Nigeria. All those who heard these prophecies took cognisance of them. One by one, these prophecies are being fulfilled.

Among them was a prophetic message specifically for the nation of America, cautioning the nation to be more conscious of internal security. These were the prophet’s words on three separate Sundays in January, 2010:

3rd January
“The great nation, America, should pray against what is uncommon. That is, they should take more cognisance over internal security ‘til march. Internal. It’s like more fugitives, dangerous people inside. They should take more notice inside. They should not be carried away about outside this time. From now till March they should be more vigilant.”

17th January
“The great country America – people should be security conscious. More attention to be paid on internal security, homeland security. More attention than outside. There is more to that. We are praying. We love the whole world and we are praying for the nations all the time. We have prayer warriors that are praying for all the nations – peace and comfort. Our big brother here, pray January ‘til March against attack. Take care of your airspace.”

31st January
“Take care of airspace – against attack; January ‘til March. Take care of airspace.”

Scene of the crash site

It was on Thursday 18th February 2010, just weeks after the prophecy was read live, that the news broke out in the United States and the world that an American pilot and software engineer, Joseph Stack had intentionally crashed his plane into a US government building, causing huge damage, killing himself and at least 1 other.

When the nation and its leaders learned that the suicide mission was as a result of Stack’s bitter protest against the US Government and its legislature, it caused great shock, concern and alarm. For a US citizen to go to the extent of deliberately crashing his plane into a government building because of frustration and hatred for his own government; it certainly was an uncommon threat for the great nation of America just as Prophet TB Joshua had said.

Smoke billows from the seven-story building in Austin, Texas after a small private plane crashed into it.

It was an IRS (Internal Revenue Service)office in the Echelon 1 complex in Austin, Texas, USA that was Stack’s target on that fateful day. The occurrence was a huge threat to US internal and homeland security. At a period when America’s main focus is on external security, Joseph’s Stack’s suicide mission came as a rude shock, a little too close to home.

“They should take more cognisance over internal security ‘til march. Internal. It’s like more fugitives, dangerous people inside. They should take more notice inside. They should not be carried away about outside this time.”

The crash caused a furious fire that sent massive plumes of thick, black smoke rising from the seven-story structure where 200 federal tax employees work.

More stringent internal security measures were put into effect after this incident. When President Obama was briefed on the incident, as a precaution, the Colorado-based North American Aerospace Defence Command launched two f-16 aircraft from Houston’s Ellington field, to conduct an air patrol over the crash area.

After the attack, the US homeland security began investigating all angles. Rep Michael McCaugh, a republican from Austin on the homeland security committee said the panel will take up the issue of how to better protect buildings from attacks with planes.

Joseph Stack, committed suicide, February 18th 2010

Stack, reportedly also set fire to his house about six miles from the crash site before embarking on the suicide flight. In a diatribe note that was posted on the web, the motive behind the attack was revealed. In this note, Stack vented his grievance and rage against the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the US government.

Stack furiously referred to the US government using the words, ‘Big Brother’, the same words used by Prophet TB Joshua in the prophecy.

“I have had all I can stand,” he wrote in the note, dated Thursday 18th February, adding: “I choose to not keep looking over my shoulder at `big brother’ while he strips my carcass.” he concluded by saying, “Well Mr. big brother IRS man, let’s try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well”

Stack’s suicide note was addressed to Big Brother, the very same term used by Prophet TB Joshua when prophesying about an attack and a warning to take care of airspace.

This attack was not the only internal security scare that day Thursday 18th February 2010 however as news also broke of a United Airlines flight bound for San Francisco diverted to Salt Lake City due to a letter found on the plane regarded as a bomb threat.

All 168 passengers and 6 crew members were evacuated and individually interviewed by FBI agents before their flight was eventually cleared.

God is speaking today and telling us what is to come. In this world, full of violence and unrest, it is imperative that we listen to, recognize and acknowledge God’s voice. Many know that they need God, but they don’t know how much they really need Him. He is the only Rescuer, Redeemer, Saviour and Restorer and we need Him with us at all times.
