The Live Saturday and Sunday Services started like any other service in the past, but there was a huge package of surprises in the unfolding. True to The SCOAN culture, the service was inundated with interesting testimonies of healings, breakthroughs, mending of relationships and deliverance from demonic attacks. As can be seen from the accounts rendered hereon, the Anointing Water which is one medium God has so endowed the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua with to foster his ministry of healing and deliverance from evil influences has continued to bless people in every area of their needs. Encouraged by the great testimonies resulting from the use of the Anointing Water and the Anointing Stickers, Prophet T.B. Joshua decided to further bless the congregation, indeed the world with yet a new branded Anointing Water and a pair of Anointing Stickers with an improved booklet that explains the nitty-gritty and the origin of these blessed products. After a powerful and inspiring sermon delivered by Wise man Harry on the subject ‘No Neutral Source,’ Prophet T.B. Joshua addressed two major issues dealing with peoples’ misconception of appearances as opposed to true godliness. In summary he said that ‘Faith is of man’s spirit, not of his flesh or body’. Then, came the big surprise: Prophet T.B. Joshua spoke briefly of his upcoming 50th Birthday which falls on June 12. He said that God had inspired him to bless the people in a very special way to mark the occasion and he went ahead to distribute the new branded Anointing Water and a couple of beautiful Anointing Stickers freely to all. God Almighty and the heavenly hosts endorsed the release and confirmed that the prophet’s action was indeed ordered from above. This was evidenced by uncontrollable manifestations of people that came in contact with the Anointing Water and the Anointing Stickers even before ministering them. Indeed, God is still with us.

Life is a warfare. In a warfare, there are many battles to fight. When you look at people today, you will see that some are battling with their bills, some with their sickness, while some are fighting to make it in life. It takes the grace of God to realize that the way you fight these battles determines who you are before God. Just as there are two sides to a coin, so also there are two sources in this world: God and satan. Whether you believe it or not, there is no neutral source because there is no neutral kingdom. You can become great in life, in terms of position, money and fame, but the source of your greatness will be either from God or satan. Genesis 14:14-16,21-23. This is all about Father Abraham and his determination to make God Almighty his only source.
To be great born of God is to derive your resources from God, while to be great born of satan is to derive your resources from satan.
When God is the source of your strength, no one can be against you. When God is the source of your strength, you and God are majority. Abram, with the help of God, was able to defeat his enemies and recover all the goods and set the captives free.

One thing we need to remember is that Satan’s greatest interest is to overthrow our relationship to God as a Father. To do that, satan always uses our situation. This is why we should not be misled by our situation. Our situation could be poverty or sickness. Outward affliction and poverty are the great arguments satan uses to disturb the children of God. Therefore, as children of God, it is better to live poorly on the fruits of God’s goodness than to live plentifully upon the products of our own sin. Remember that everything big starts little. If anything big starts big, it calls for concern. Those who fail to take these tiny steps cannot trust God and understand the basic truth about faith.

CHRONIC CASE OF BEDWETTING HEALED
Mr Awallu Gaboh, a muslim had the problem of bedwetting and frequent urination for twenty years. It all started when a spirit being possessed him, which came and made love to him. The problem had made it impossible for him to get married or visit friends. His relations and friends could not understand why he would not marry. He visited several herbalists in search of solution but to no avail. Then, a friend of his gave him the Anointing Water which he ministered on his male organ and all over his body. When the spiritual wife attempted to force herself on him, he noticed that a very powerful ray of light was covering him and preventing the lady from coming close to him. After many attempts, she gave up and left. Since then, he has been free from the chronic case of bedwetting of over 20 years. Being a muslim, he said it was the first time he had entered a church (The SCOAN) but as he saw the way Prophet T.B. Joshua had treated people from all religions, he felt welcomed. He said that Prophet T.B. Joshua was sent to everyone regardless of their religion. He also changed his mind concerning getting married, stating that it was now possible.
BARRENNESS AND ALCOHOLISM STOPPED
Mr Abu Abdulazeez from Benue State had been childless for many years after marriage. The medical report stated their diagnosis of bacterial infection but his wife often told him that a certain spiritual man used to sleep with her and make love to her in the dream. Mr. Abdulazeez who is a military personnel, had the problem of addiction to alcohol for thirty-one years and could drink more than three cartons of beer in a single day and to worsen his situation, he always spent time in the company of his colleagues who were also habitual drinkers. After each drinking spree, he would usually lose his cell phone and end up being helped home in a state of stupor. He had attempted to quit the habit on his own but could not. He was always late to work on account of the drunkenness. On one occasion, he sleep-walked into an unfamiliar bush due to the effect of alcohol until he was saved by a man who told him that he had travelled close to Kogi State very far away from Abuja, his planned destination. He was also in the habit of returning home late at nights. He had lost three of his cars due to accidents resulting from drunkenness. One fateful day, he visited a friend and joined them in watching Emmanuel TV. He was astonished to see cases of drunkenness being delivered through the prayer of the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua. He joined in the prayer by placing his hand on the screen of the television. He invited his wife to place her hand on the television and she did. As soon as she placed her hand, she fell down and started manifesting. Soon after, his wife conceived. For himself, he tried to visit his former beer parlour where he ordered for a bottle of beer but it tasted of bitters and he had to spit it out. Since then, his addiction of 31 years stopped. Today, the wife is pregnant. Mr Abdulazeez does not visit beer parlours anymore and they now enjoy a very peaceful home.
YOUNG MAN DELIVERED FROM DEMONIC KINGDOM AND DISCONNECTED FROM SECRET CULTS
Mr Innocent Oluchi Chidozie Ochia – Imo State, Nigeria was an active member of some number of secret cults for many years. He is a graduate of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede in Imo State. He was an ardent church goer and a choir boy until one of his relations introduced him to various brands of drugs. They were into the music industry and those drugs were supposed to make him feel good and bold while on stage. Ironically, the influence of those drugs erased every passion for the things of God and he developed apathy to Christian music. He could consume large doses of those drugs every day and had to spend much of his pocket money in acquiring them. On one occasion, he had concealed himself behind the counter of a bar, smoking his weed and playing music very loud. Three beings appeared to him right there and one of them said that it could pick up his thoughts. He did not believe the being, and spoke in silence to test him. The beings responded correspondingly to prove that they could actually read his mind. They told him that they could discern that he wanted to be famous and that they could help him get to the top of his career. He asked to be helped. One of the beings stripped off and to his surprise, he saw that it was tattooed from the neck to the groin region. They started an initiation process and were making noises as if in a sex orgy. He could not stand the sight any longer and decided to walk away. He was threatened with premature death in four days if he walked out on them. He, however, tried to submit to the initiation. Back at the Polytechnic, his life took a different form. He could hear voices and interpret lyrics that he never was part of their making. He became fearless. He had no money but could get just whatever he wanted so long as he was dressed in a peculiar spiritual fashion that those beings had recommended. When he sang on stage and off-stage, he could hold people in trance and those who were unable to stand the situation had to run away. The drug addiction got so bad that he had to be sent to rehab. His academic career started diminishing. He never prayed and refused to pay his tithes any longer. He preferred to do his chores on the Sabbath day instead. He hated the things of God. Incidentally, he was invited to The SCOAN to witness the testimony of one of his aunts who had been delivered from demonic influence. He felt very uncomfortable in the church and would rather have some cigarettes and alcohol. During prayer by Wise man Daniel, he was arrested and felt the separation from the spiritual beings that had tormented him. The pain he felt on his leg also disappeared after he was touched and prayed for by the wise man. He advises the youths in particular that if they would make Heaven, they should avoid worldly affections such as smoking, doing drugs, drinking and lustfulness – telling them that Jesus Christ was not a womanizer or a drug addict.

SON OF A POPULAR NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS AND MUSICIAN DELIVERED FROM DEMONIC KINGDOM
Mr Samuel Freedom is the son of Camilla, a renowned Nollywood actress. He said he came to The SCOAN after his mother had been delivered of evil attacks and connection to the marine kingdom. He says that in a prophecy given to her by Prophet T.B. Joshua, his mother was asked where her son was. She responded that he was in Enugu and the man of God said he should be brought to The SCOAN. Previously, he had been practicing house to house evangelism and praying for the sick with signs following, though he had never been delivered himself. He confessed that during that period, he had an affair with a lady from the same church where he worshipped. Thereafter, his spiritual life took a downward turn. He experienced some career failure and stagnation. Nothing was working for him; he became depressed and often heard a voice telling him to commit suicide. He began looking for alternatives; he started listening to worldly music and doing street dance. He formed a dance group and they wanted to create new moves. They researched online and found different demonic signs which they formulated into dance moves. He would have dreams where demons would teach him dance steps. He would then in turn teach others how to dance in that way. He wanted to get money; so, he searched on the internet and found the Illuminati website; he read everything on the website and saw the face of the master of the Illuminati. His first experience was an encounter with the master in a dream. The master appeared in the form of a serpent and then later transformed into a human being, giving him instructions. Thereafter, he started using some of those signs that represented Illuminati in dance steps on stage, but participants never got to know that those dance steps were glorifying demons and initiating them into the kingdom of darkness. The more the people adopted the dance steps, the more they were tormented by demons. He had a shirt with the Illuminati insignia, which he usually wore especially on stage. He had a computer game known as Prince of Persia which he always played during the day. At night, he would see himself as the character from the video game, the Prince of Persia, flying, fighting and doing everything the character in the game was doing. He was in the habit of masturbating even though he detested the act and would regret it later.
He eventually came to The SCOAN and was delivered after prayer from Wise Man Christopher. He no longer has the urge to masturbate, smoke or drink. He advised parents to keep objects of bad moral influence away from their children. He advised youth not to download worldly music on their phones. His advice to pastors was to run to God for mercy for He is a merciful God.
A NIGHTCLUB DEEJAY IS NOT WHAT I WAS CALLED TO BE
Pastor Philip Onyekachukwu of Prince of Peace Ministries International and brother of Ms Camilla, the popular Nollywood actress, said he had received a call of God and then when his finances were down, he backslid to become a nightclub Deejay. He said he was not properly taught how to maintain his walk with the Lord. He could not pay his school fees and had to abandon the ministry. He had a dream where two women put their hands inside his chest after
which he became sick. He went from one place to another in search of a solution to his sickness which doctors were unable to diagnose. Later, he returned to being a pastor, though he acknowledged that he did so without being delivered. Consequently, he experienced setback in his ministry. He said that the church would grow and then later scatter. He would also hear voices rebuking him, telling him he was never going to make it and that the church was going down. He came to The SCOAN where he was prayed for by one of the wise men and received his deliverance. He said after his deliverance, he no longer heard negative voices and also the pain he had in his body was gone.
NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS WENT THROUGH THOROUGH SCREENING
Mrs Camilla, a Senior Nollywood Actress for 29 years said she didn’t have a hand in how, where and when she was born. She decided who she wanted to be when she came to The SCOAN. Many of her colleagues had discouraged her from coming to The SCOAN. She said, “Many of them are scared of coming to be screened by the Holy Ghost”. According to the actress, she was delivered at The SCOAN and also received a prophecy concerning her son. She brought him to The SCOAN together with her brother (Pastor Philip Onyekachukwu) for deliverance. She said she came for God to change her spiritual occasion from sin to holiness and she got it. She encouraged all to seek the face of God.
THE TRUTH ABOUT TATTOOS REVEALED
John Bosco from Cameroon gave a testimony of how he had a tooth problem and a woman had advised him to apply snuff tobacco as a solution to the problem. The effect of the tobacco made him feel high in spirit. He became addicted to it and eventually became very sick and lost a lot of weight. He was diagnosed with tuberculosis and gastric ulcer and reached rock bottom in life. One night, he had a dream whereby he saw the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua in his dream who prayed for him. Soon after the dream, he had a full recovery from his sicknesses and was restored back to his original self. To add to his blessing, he was also offered a good job from an offshore company with good pay and his life experienced a dramatic turnaround for the better. He was so overjoyed at the healing and blessing he received that he asked himself what he could do to

say, “Thank you”. He then called a tattoo artist and asked him to design a tattoo for him written, “Jesus Is Lord, T.B. Joshua My Prophet”. He had the tattoo inscribed across his shoulder. As he developed interest in studying the Scriptures, he came to a portion in the Book of Leviticus 19:28, which spoke against the act of putting marks of any sort on the body and immediately regretted doing the tattoo. He was so disturbed in his mind that he sent an email to the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua asking what he could do. The prophet then invited him to The SCOAN.
After sharing his experience, the man of God addressed the issue. “Just see it as one of those things on your body, not for God. If you see it like that, press forwards to serve God in Spirit and in truth. Don’t see it as a way of pleasing God. Don’t let it disturb you anymore. Put it behind you. Since you can’t remove it, leave it and continue to serve God.”
Prophet T.B. Joshua further said, “Faith is of man’s spirit, not of his flesh or body”. He advised the man that he should see the tattoo as something for his body and not for God. He said now that he had realized it was wrong, he should put it behind him and seek God. He said the tattoo had no meaning to God and is not to please God. He also advised Christians who already had tattoos and wanted to remove them, not to have them surgically removed as this was a trap of satan, which could lead to other skin complications. He concluded by saying that when we worship God in Spirit and truth, whatever we have put on our body is nullified.
MODIFY YOUR CULTURE TO SUIT CHRIST’S IDEOLOGY
Deacon Daniel Emoghawei came to The SCOAN and received a prophecy. Prophet T.B. Joshua asked him about his wife and had spoken concerning the conflict at home and the spirit of anger. Today, Deacon Daniel Emoghawei came back together with his wife to confirm the prophecy. He explained that the cause of most conflicts in the house was regarding his wife’s clothing and makeup. As a deacon, he didn’t like to see his wife with revealing clothes and heavy makeup. He further told the prophet that even on their wedding day, they had fought concerning the same matter. Apart from that, according to the husband, the wife had the spirit of anger that caused her to argue and get angry unnecessarily. His wife also spoke, complaining that they would always quarrel and never agree on anything in the house. She further said that her husband would beat her and this had heightened the tension in the marriage.
Listening to their story, Prophet T.B. Joshua expressed his belief from God’s point of view that God is Spirit and that those who want to worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and truth. Therefore, for God to hear, help or answer us, we must talk to Him in Spirit but the problem people have is that many have not been dealing with God in Spirit but in the natural.
Prophet T.B. Joshua explained that there was nothing wrong in putting on makeup but that our ideology and culture must be modified to suit Christ’s ideology. He added that if someone has the spirit of lust, whether he or she applies makeup or not does not make any difference because it is a spiritual matter and can only be resolved through being delivered.
He asked them what their position was concerning the marriage. They both said that they still loved each other as husband and wife but just wanted the conflict in their marriage to stop. Prophet T.B. Joshua encouraged the couple that there could be no understanding without misunderstanding. He said that if you ask any successful couple today about their experiences, they would tell you that they passed through the shadow of death before they arrived at a successful marriage. T.B. Joshua concluded by advising, “There is a time to fight and there is a time to embrace each other. No matter what happens, God has something to say, even in a broken situation. Therefore, we should always ask for God’s opinion concerning all things”.

The man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua gave the grace for the congregation to receive the rebranded Anointing Water and Stickers for the first time after their official launch today. Excitement and shouts of joy rented the atmosphere as the long-awaited release was announced by the prophet. As soon as the Anointing Water and Stickers were given out freely to the congregation, people began to shake, roll on the floor and vomit out dangerous substances that had been lodged in their system, under the power of God. They hadn’t even opened the packaging before Jesus Christ began to work in their situation. FAITH COMES THROUGH THE WORD

The Saturday and Sunday Live services on Emmanuel TV were as exciting to the viewers worldwide as they were for the congregation thronging the seats of The SCOAN Headquarters. Starting with a dynamic prayer line service, the five Wise Men went forth cloaked in the light of God’s purity and the fire of His Holiness to dispel every shade of darkness in the life of the congregation. Whether the darkness appeared in the form of sickness, disease, demonic oppression, poverty, setback, limitation and failure, when the light of God came on the scene, darkness had no hiding place. Just as it was during the earthly ministry of our Lord, Jesus Christ, everyone who received a touch from the Wise Men received a touch from Heaven with the anointing to break every yoke.

THE ROAD TO YOUR DIVINE DESTINY

Wise Man Harry preached an encouraging sermon titled: The Road To Your Divine Destiny In which he exhorted the listeners to look unto Jesus Christ in times of testing to see them through their dark moments into the bright futures set before them in Christ Jesus. He said, “The road to your divine destiny is not a bed of roses. There will be trials, temptations and challenges. Joseph believed his dream. To protect our dreams, we must stop the language or the vocabulary of the victim. Before Joseph got to the position of honour, he suffered humiliation, rejection, embarrassment, temptation, false accusation, and so on. For you to be in a position of honour, you must experience the same thing. On the road to your divine destiny, you need a vision to stay on the right track. As a man of vision, no matter what constitutes the obstacles on your way, you can never be stopped.”

FAITH COMES THROUGH THE WORD

Prophet T.B. Joshua enlightened the congregation and viewers on how they could ‘bring Jesus onto the scene’ in his message titled, ‘Faith Comes Through The Word’. Mark 16:17, “In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues.” This Scripture is useless, baseless, until we act on it. Acting on the Word, brings Jesus on the scene. If you do not act on the Word, God is impotent in you. It is acting on the Word that builds faith in the believer. Jesus Christ preached the Word, healed the sick and broke the power of demons over men. Apostles preached the Word, the sick were healed and multitudes were recreated. To preach the Word means to preach Christ because Christ is the Word. John 15:16 “Whatever you ask the father in my name, I will do.” It’s not every time we say, in the name of Jesus we bring Jesus on the scene. Only faith pleases Jesus. Only faith brings Jesus on the scene. On the scene, means here, now. In our gathering here, if Jesus is involved, healing, deliverance takes place. By looking into the Word and acting on it, we bring Jesus on the scene.

JOBLESS WOMAN GETS PRIVATE JET RIDE TO BIG TIME EMPLOYMENT IN ABU DHABI

A Cameroonian Health and Safety Officer in Dubai, Mrs Carine Virgine testified how distance was not a barrier to the real, authentic and forceful power of God. Despite all her qualifications, she was unable to secure employment. There were just four days left for her visa to expire and she would either be imprisoned or be forcefully repatriated to Nigeria according to the law in Dubai. She watched Emmanuel TV on the internet in Dubai and while praying with Prophet T.B. Joshua during the viewer’s prayer, she vomited out thick substances. A friend then came to visit her who had just left The SCOAN and gave her a bottle of the Anointing Water, telling her that if she believed, she would have her testimony within the next four days. She immediately ministered the Anointing Water.
The next day, a call came to her from a man who said her CV was before him and he had no questions for her other than if she was satisfied with the terms of the job she had applied for. He forwarded her CV to the Human Resources Department and she was invited for an interview. She was told to check her email box and discovered that a private jet was waiting to take her to Abu Dhabi, the Administrative Capital of the United Arab Emirates for the interview! She took the flight and committed the interview into the hands of God and the manager of the company even received her at the airport. To her further surprise, there was no interview at the end of the day. The interview was merely to show her round her new accommodation including a swimming pool, gym and restaurant on site! She is now appointed as the Health and Safety Officer of The Anatara Group Hotel Franchise, one of the biggest hotel chains in The Middle East. Her advice simply encouraged us all to truly believe in God and our prayers would be answered.

DEADLY FAMILY CURSE OF DIABETES SHATTERED THROUGH THE ANOINTING WATER

To some, diabetes has become a normal way of life. It is just something they have to put up with. But in the Ochiba family, diabetes was a silent killer. After two of Mr Ignatius Ochiba’s brothers had died of diabetes, his family was shaken at the stunning news that he had himself been diagnosed as a diabetic. Instantly, his health fell into decline, perpetuated by weakness, pain and fatigue in addition to sleeplessness and restlessness caused by the frequent urination accompanying the sickness. On being diagnosed with the same killer disease of diabetes, Mr Ignatius Ochiba decided immediately to come to The SCOAN where he received the Anointing Water. He gathered his family together. They prayed and he ministered the Anointing Water to the entire family, himself included. He went for a routine check up and was awaiting the results. He received a call from the doctor congratulating him and inviting him to the hospital. They showed him that his fasting blood sugar range had come back to normal level indicating that he was free from diabetes. Previously, he urinated frequently both day and night as a result of the diabetes but since ministering the Anointing Water, he slept soundly without any disturbance or rushing to the bathroom. The family curse of diabetes which had claimed the lives of two of his brothers came to a sudden end as God Almighty used the Anointing Water to break every chain of sickness the devil had used to connect this family to himself. He advised all that they should not allow their situation to mislead them because man’s condition does not change God’s position.

MOTORCYCLE DEALER’S ENTIRE STOCK PURCHASED AFTER MINISTERING ANOINTING WATER

This motorcycle dealer was down on his luck to say the least. His business was steadily going downhill until there was a terrorist attack in his state. After the bomb blast in his area, his shaky business became drastically worse. After going through the tension of securing a loan from his bank, putting up his house as collateral, he was further frustrated to the point where his loan even expired and his bank manager turned his back on him. After the loan expired, he still could not sell his products, occasionally selling a single bike in two weeks. He could not even pay his children’s school fees and his house was endangered for the now expired loans he had taken.  In the midst of his situation, a nephew encouraged him to come to The SCOAN to receive the Anointing Water. In faith, he came and received. He returned to his warehouse that was so full you could not even enter it and took photos as he knew his testimony was restored. In no time, a company he used to do business with bought all the motorcycles to the tune of 30,000,000 naira. He has settled the bank and has reclaimed his building – he is no longer a debtor and business is still going fine. He now has peace and can sleep well. His children who had to stop their education due to the problem the family was facing, are even schooling abroad now! Advising all and sundry, he said we should trust in the God of Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ for all we need to live for Him here and now.

DENNIS SAMUELS – DIRECTOR GENERAL FOR A COMPUTER COMPANY

From the time he became a partner of Emmanuel TV, he had been praying for the grace to be a committed one. He was among a few of the privileged who received an Emmanuel TV badge. A prayer partner was also assigned to him – one of the wise men. Each time he had an issue, the wise man would pray with him and counsel him over the phone. In January, 2012, his company received an invitation for a big exhibition in Burkina Faso. He managed to raise funds with his entire staff and set off for his j

ourney to the exhibition. When at the airport, his phone rang. It was his prayer partner, the wise man. He asked him where he was going and Mr Samuels explained that his company was elected to be a part of a big exhibition in Burkina Faso. The wise man counselled him and advised him to go ahead, that God would go with him. In accordance with the words of the wise man, Mr Samuels’ company was the star of the three day competition in Burkina Faso, as God favoured his company. Everything happened as the wise man had told him and he was given an award for ‘The Best Hope In Computer Security’. 

In a subsequent phone call from his prayer partner, the wise man, asked him, “When last did you check your blood pressure?” He said, “Please, can you go and check it and call me back”. Mr Samuels said that he went to the nearest clinic to test his BP. He was shocked when the doctor  who had asked him to wait came back with a perplexed look on his face asking Mr Samuels how he had come, that his BP was not only high but at the crisis level! The doctor advised him against driving and wanted to hospitalize him. Mr Samuels called his prayer partner who told him that that was the reason he had called him. His prayer partner then proceeded to pray with him and within a week Mr Samuels’ BP was back to normal.

He advised that to be a partner of Emmanuel TV was not about having a partnership number, “You need commitment. God is monitoring your activity. Be consistent and sincere in what you are doing. God is the rewarder of all things!”

He and his wife were separated. He got a call from his mother that his wife was in The SCOAN. He laughed over it because he did not believe in The SCOAN. His wife called later saying she wanted to see him at the church. So he came. Wise Man Daniel touched him during the service and that was all he could remember of his deliverance. He used to go to a river to fetch water as a child. He went, caught a fish and went to eat it. That was the River Ethiope. He noticed a fair lady sitting at the riverbank that day. He noticed cowries on the riverbed where she was, bent and picked them up. A similar fair lady came in his dreams and demanded for her cowries back. He was a teenager then and in fear, he awoke, ran out of the house and threw them away. The spirit of the River Ethiope appeared to him the next day in a dream and said that she owned him. Since then, she came in his dreams and he started having serious wet dreams. He would see her physically and if she wanted to come, she came with a cold presence and no matter what he was doing, he would have to look up and they would make love. His parents started suspecting him of being possessed and once found him on the floor crying and shouting where nobody else was.

This spiritual wife affected his life by addicting him to chatting with girls on the internet and giving him the spirit of lust to womanize. His career and business were also destroyed by the malicious spirit. One such instance occurred when a lady came to his travelling business and paid 300,000 towards travelling to the United Kingdom. As the money entered his account, his business folded up over the following weeks. Each time he was about to get somewhere in a business, the spiritual wife would come into his dreams and tell him that that business was dead. Every time the spiritual wife killed a business, she would give another idea for businesses which would immediately catch on until the evil spirit again would crush the business.

The spiritual wife was extremely jealous of him and any woman who came near to him, would face immediately attacks. There was a terrible case where a girl who stayed with him during his school times, started bleeding in her brain which stopped immediately she moved out from the same house as him. The spiritual wife then led to separation from his wife.

The affection for his wife was fully restored and he had peace as the spiritual wife and wet dreams then became a thing of the past. The man of God said he should attend to it and when he did, he found that it was a document which he had not applied for but offering him a contract with AGIP oil company to the tune of $200,000 which was an equivalent of 38,000,000 naira. He was also able to join partners to his company who landed a massive project for the three of them to supply over 100 million units of their oil product of which the proceeds would be shared between the three of them at the rate of 1 naira per unit! The prophecy had revealed that she went to Europe where she did prostitution. He had promised to take her to Europe to work in a bar and wash plates. So, they went to a herbalist to make a covenant by taking hair from her private parts, armpits and blood from her forehead that she would have to pay him 50,000 euro after she started working in Europe, to which she agreed. The man then slept with her before taking her to the airport to travel. When she got to Europe, she was surprised that the man gave her some sexy clothes and told her to work on the street as a prostitute. She was taken by 6 men on the first night and from there, slept with between 40 and 50 men every day over the next two years before she finally paid the money. She started by asking for forgiveness from the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua, stating she had blasphemed and said so many bad things, spreading rumours against T.B. Joshua and his ministry with the intention of destroying him and his ministry. “Every evil thing you could think of, I said it against him” she said.When she was young, she craved power. A spirit entered her and she saw herself always on top. When she went to university, she joined a female cult where she became the ‘number one’ in that cult. She took girls on the campus for initiation. She used to take the girls to a forest under the pretense that they were going to a party. She had a hundred powers she collected from a witch doctor and said “The more you looked at me, the less you would see me”. Once she raised her hand and said something, people would abide by whatever she said. She would consult a herbalist who would clear the coast for her any time her cult planned to do an initiation in the forest. The code was that they would wear a black bra. They would tie their eyes and she would bring the prepared concoction. She would bring out a razor and force the girls to take an oath during the initiation to take their blood. She would put the blood in the concoction and tell them to drink it which would make them high. After the initiation, the power would tell them the evil things they should do.

She said the day she started spreading a film blaspheming T.B. Joshua, that was the day things turned against her. She left school and got married but the curse on her life remained. A friend told her about the testimonies on Emmanuel TV. She went home and had a dream about T.B. Joshua, in which the man of God told her she should ask God for forgiveness, that she had sinned against the Holy Ghost. She began watching Emmanuel TV after which she came to The SCOAN and received her deliverance through Wise Man John Chi. She said she encountered Jesus that day through the prayer of Wise Man John Chi. She stated there was no gain in joining secret cults.

MTN PROJECT FAME STAR DELIVERED AT THE SCOAN

Denise, a 28 years old who was brought up in the USA said she never knew that the devil had so much control over her life until she was set free at The SCOAN.

Her mother was a drug addict – at two months old, her mother gave her to her aunt in America who was unable to have children at the time. When her aunt had her own biological child, then she started maltreating her. The authorities heard of it and locked up her aunt. Later, her aunt decided to send her back to her mother but at this time, Denise did not know that the woman she had grown up with was her aunt and not her mother. She was deceived that she was going to Chicago to stay with her favourite uncle but found herself in Freetown, Sierra Leone. After this, she was to board a flight to Liberia, unbeknown to her, to meet with her mother for the first time. When she was about to arrive, they said there was a war on in Liberia and they could not enter the country at that time. Then she was taken care of by the flight hostesses until there was a ceasefire and they could enter.

Another lady saw her when she was crying in the airplane and started talking to her about Liberia where she was going. As soon as they got to Liberia, the war started again. Denise’s only clue as to where she was going was to find a lady called Gloria who she was going to be staying with. When she found Gloria, she said, she was told to take Denise to her biological mother. She had not been able to find her because the mother was always taking drugs and high. When they finally found her mother, the mother was dirty, smelly and carrying a newborn child. For a while however, she enjoyed the motherly love she had never had for the next three days. On the third day, her mother told her that she had to grow up now; this was not America. Her mother then started using her to get money by leaving her with men and it was just the grace of God she said that none of them ever raped her as the deal had been between them and her mother.

To escape from her mother, she found a rich boyfriend who was into and introduced her to drugs, smoking and drinking. But when the war restarted again, the man gave her money and fled. So, she also tried to flee and got to Ghana. In Ghana, she was wasting her money on her drug habit and when she got high on drugs, she would start singing. A day came when she tried singing at a Karaoke Bar, and the owner liked her voice so much, they employed her to be singing there. That was her first job. So, she started building up a new life again. She auditioned for MTN Project Fame and got to seventh place, whereas there were only five winners. The Project Fame organization did however give her a $2,000 prize with which she got her first apartment for two years. So, she realized that competitions were the only way she would be able to make clean money without sleeping with people. There were several older men who offered her help for sex which although she didn’t want to, she had no option as her money was all gone. After sleeping with such men, not one of them could fulfil their promise.

She got seriously sick and then, became suicidal. She tried to kill herself three times but someone would always come in and save her at the last minute. One of her friends said he would take her to The SCOAN and as she was wondering if it was another spiritualist or ‘juju man’, he said, ‘‘No, I am taking you to God.’’ She said, “Okay, if it is not God, after this, I am leaving this earth because I am tired”.

The road was rough and the devil really opposed her coming to The SCOAN, even making her to fight the man that tried bringing her to the church but in the end, she got to The SCOAN and received the deliverance she had never even dreamed of. Now, she is happy, delivered and free from all her addictions. She wants to give her life to Christ and asked Prophet T.B. Joshua for advice and instruction for her future.

Christianity Is A Relationship

The SCOAN Saturday and Sunday services attested to the power of the living and resurrected Christ at work in the life of Prophet TB Joshua and the five wise men as person after person were set free from their past and released into their divine destinies.

Later, Prophet TB Joshua spoke specifically on Sunday on the subject: Christianity is a relationship, part of which he had introduced on Saturday. Using Matthew 22:1-4 and 37-8; John 21:15 and 1 Corinthians 12:7-8 as proof texts, he said Christianity is not a religion but a relationship and that Jesus Christ came to restore the relationship and fellowship between God and man. He said relationship exists where there is love. Nothing will keep us on course like a deep love for God. Nothing will carry us through hard times like a sincere devotion to Christ. When there is no money in the pocket, it is the love for Christ that will keep us on course. He said ministry does not begin with a relationship with people. It begins with a relationship with God and that relationship overflows to people. And when you have a relationship with people, you need to know where that relationship flows from because relationships begin with God and then to people.

The prophet added that the main thing about Christianity is not the work we do but the relationship we maintain and the atmosphere produced by that relationship. He said supernatural gifts given to a minister are different from man’s natural talents, abilities and education. He said the principal challenge we face in the church today is that people use their natural gifts for God’s Work and that has reduced God’s Kingdom to human knowledge. Moreover, he continued that Jesus never asked Peter if he was a gifted speaker, a talented leader, or whether he had seminary training or Bible knowledge. According to the prophet, those things are important but they are not the issue. The issue is quite simple: The basic qualification for a lasting ministry is found in Jesus’ question, “Do you love Me?” In other words, do you have a relationship with Me?

Aside the significant sermon are works of prophecy, charity and moving testimonies by worshippers at the church from the world over among which were the following:

HENRY CHUKWU ONYEAMA – EXPERIENCED VISA BREAKTHROUGH THROUGH ANOINTING WATER

The Enugu state born Nigerian businessman had experienced poverty, dejection and stagnation in his life for years. He even sold some of his personal belongings such as cars, television and even the mattress he slept on, just to recover from the stroke of economic uncertainty. But he soon laid hands on the Anointing Water as an avid viewer of Emmanuel TV with which he prayed and ministered and after six days, was invited into a business which instantly fetched him one million naira in profits. Stung by the quest to further his education, he had applied for admission in Ukraine but at the Nigerian Embassy, he was denied a visa.

He also attempted to go to South Africa to accomplish his dream but this hit the rock. He then wrote to ask for an invitation by a business concern in South Korea, ministering the Anointing Water on his documents.

After four days, contrary to the normal practice, he had gone for an interview at the Korean Embassy and was successful.

 

With his visa at the ready, he hopes to leave Nigeria for Korea in a few days. He advised that in every situation, people should look up to God and that the Anointing Water should be seen and appreciated as a special gift from God for this generation of believers.

FELICIA NGWUTA – DELIVERED FROM EVIL FORCES THROUGH ANOINTING WATER

Mrs Ngwuta told the congregation in church how God dealt with evil forces plaguing her peace in her own home. She said she used to experience visits of snakes in her dreams. Her well kept money in her wardrobe was always getting lost and there was a time she was even shot an in the dream. She was so tormented and has to visit The SCOAN, during which she ministered on herself and the entire house.

She was surprised to later discover a dead snake in her wardrobe even when there was no outlet through which it could have come in.

Displaying the photograph of the decayed snake, which did not smell inside her wardrobe, she said since then, her money has stopped getting lost and she has not experienced any bad dreams. Cheerfully, she implored people to go to God to solve the riddles of their lives because solutions lie only with Him.

 

HEALED OF STROKE THROUGH THE ANOINTING WATER

This oil businessman had experienced a devastating stroke but was triumphantly restored to health through the Anointing Water. When under the affliction, he had journeyed to The SCOAN from the Republic of Benin on 4^th October, 2012. His vessel was expected to go for inspection but his health mattered more to him. He had visited different hospitals that had rejected him as he could neither stand nor talk. The stroke had affected him physically to the degree that part of his mouth was bent owing to the affected muscles on his face and mentally, when his wife and family visited him, he did not recognize their presence for four days. His wife prayed for him using the Anointing Water and in the name of the God of Prophet T.B. Joshua, and he recovered the use of his hands; his bent mouth was restored and he could speak once again. The doctors later confirmed him medically fit, for which he showed his medical report as evidence. An astonishing revelation came when, during his testimony, he admitted he knew he was lucky to survive as his elder sister who similarly suffered a stroke attack three months after his, had died. Finally, he concluded with the word of advice that the Anointing Water had become his spiritual battleaxe and weapon of war. Full of joy, his wife testified that the Anointing Water shows that God is ultimate in power and that people should trust in God and run to Him, when faced by challenges beyond their control.

ANTHONY AGUNU – SAVED FROM A GRUESOME ROAD ACCIDENT THROUGH ANOINTING WATER

Mr Agunu based in the Republic of South Africa, decided to visit his home in Nigeria in December of 2012 but not without first visiting The SCOAN on 27^th December where he was privileged to receive the Anointing Water .

On the 31^st of December, he travelled to his home State of Delta but forgot to pray and minister the Anointing Water before embarking on the journey. During his trip, another car moving out of control at high speeds smashed into his own vehicle.

As they were shouting Jesus, they discovered that though the car was badly damaged beyond repair, neither Mr Agunu nor any of his passengers were injured. As he showed the picture of the crash scene, he thanked God and encouraged others not to toy with the idea of embracing and using the Anointing Water.

 

 

MRS LUCKY EDWARD – DELIVERED FROM 32 YEARS OF SMOKING AND DRINKING THROUGH ANOINTING WATER

She said that she had smoked for some 32 years, 23 of which had actually driven her to smoke marijuana to stem the emotional pain she encountered in her marital home. The problem had started at the age of 17 when her schoolmates told her that in order to be cool she had to smoke and drink alcohol.

She explained that the friends were the most popular in her school and she desired to be seen like them, therefore she engaged in their addictive behaviours. Initially, she coughed and spluttered on the cigarette smoke but was told it was normal and as she took more, she would enjoy it the more. The addiction formed and she got to the level of being able to consume four packs of cigarettes every day. After marrying her husband and upon falling pregnant, her mind began to change and she wanted to drop the foul habit but found to her dismay that she was unable to.

Then she began to move from churches to prayer houses to get delivered from the chain but without success until she was introduced to Emmanuel TV where she became convinced that the power of God in the Anointing Water was real.

 

On getting her own bottle of Anointing Water and ministering it to herself, she went to sleep. It was a week later that she realized that for the past week, she had not even the urge to smoke a cigarette or take a single drink since ministering the Anointing Water. Today, she is full of gratitude to God for her deliverance and advises that people should go to real men of God to solve their problems.

MR GODFREY – SAVED FROM A TRAILER CRASH THROUGH THE ANOINTING WATER

In 2012, Mr Godfrey had visited the church and received two Anointing Stickers both of which he placed on his truck as a professional transporter. On one such long haul journey, Mr Godfrey saw in the distance that a tanker had had an accident blocking the adjacent lane for oncoming traffic.

 

His own lane however, being unobstructed thought little of it and continued to accelerate. Suddenly, with horrific speed, a large speeding lorry crossed into Mr Godfrey’s lane while trying to pass round the obstacle and collided with Mr Godfrey’s truck slamming the two vehicles into the already crashed tanker with such horrible force that the drivers section or head of the oncoming lorry was thrown into the air and across the street.

 

The conductor died on impact and the lorry driver was in a critical condition, but at the moment of impact, the Anointing Sticker Mr Godfrey kept on the shelf of his truck floated down to land over his chest and both he and his co-pilot came out of the valley of the shadow of death without a scratch. Without words to express his appreciation to the God of TB Joshua, he advised all that if God was with you, no weapon fashioned against you would prosper and that God’s protection was the only protection.

MR AND MRS AMADIKE – HOTEL RESCUED FROM ATTACKERS THROUGH EMMANUEL TV

The middle aged couple run a popular hotel as a business outfit and in each of its guestrooms is installed the Emmanuel TV cable to allow all the visitors to view the wonders of God as they enjoyed their stay with them. In the dead of night, strange noises were heard throughout the hotel as unknown gunmen raided the hotel, breaking down doors in search of the proprietor, Mr and Mrs Amadike, to demand their money or their lives. The couple locked themselves inside their room and prayed with Prophet TB Joshua watching Emmanuel TV as the rampage continued. When the invaders could not find the couple, in the course of their fury, they broke one of the window panes of Mr Amadike’s car parked in the hotel forecourt. Instantly, the car alarm went off and confusion descended upon the raiders like a heavy blanket thinking security guards were upon them, they took to their heels only to be caught by patrolling policemen who took them into custody and seized their ammunition. The couple advised that Emmanuel TV was no ordinary station and people that stick to it as their channel of choice would surely reap the reward.

MR AND MRS ROMANUS UDEAKU – DELIVERED FROM BARRENNESS THROUGH PROPHECY

A couple came to testify of the irresistible power of prophecy, telling the worldwide audience that Prophet TB Joshua had prophesied to Mrs Udeaku that her underwear had once gone missing and since that time, she had suffered irregular menstruation which was the cause of the couples 16 years of infertility.

The couple had gotten to the point of desperation that they were considering adopting a child but two weeks after confirming the prophecy of the man of God to be true, Mrs Udeaku conceived and has since delivered a beautiful girl named Precious.

 

Mr Romanus Udeaku said that at the age of 53 this was his first child even though it was not his first marriage and he had faced the same problem in his first step in life. With the soft smile of glorious vindication on their faces, the couple simply said if you want God to do the same for you, just believe Him through ordinary circumstances. He is not a man that disappoints.

 

TWO ZAMBIAN PILGRIMS REWARDED FOR THEIR FAITH

Another chapter of testimony closed in the annals of history as two pilgrims who braved the danger of travelling by road to The SCOAN in Nigeria from Zambia in Southern Africa, a journey taking them 44 days to complete, stood before the congregation with the happy faces and hearts of those whom the Lord has located in His mercy and favour. The men recounted their experience of the bitter trials they faced on the way to the church prompted by their financial hardship which had cast doubtful shadows over the furtherance of their education with all their efforts hitting nothing but the rocks of frustration. Spurred on by their keen interest for the works of charity performed on Emmanuel TV, the friends stirred with radical faith, departed on their mission passing through seven countries including CAR, Tanzania, Kenya, Mali, South Sudan and Nigeria. In a nutshell, the hazards of their journey had taken their toll surviving on bread and water where it was available, encountering hostile natives, rough border checkpoints, wild animal attacks and insensitive bystanders but through they were silent in their trouble, they did not silence their faith and hope and by God’s grace, they made it to The SCOAN. Prophet TB Joshua remarked concerning the determined duo that he was touched by their faith and on behalf of the ministry and Emmanuel TV Partners gave them each 2000 USD; flight tickets back to Zambia and his promise to support their educational pursuits. The men who made a journey of 44 days would return home in just one spoke to youth all over the world that once they had made a heart decision, they should be determined concerning their future and the sky would be their limits.

MR ALEX ALABA AND HIS SIX CHILDREN

Mr Alex and his children were given the sum of half a million naira to support their upkeep and education as they went back to continue their lives in the peace and comfort of reconciliation in Christ Jesus. The man of God declared that each of the children would be awarded scholarships and were to decide if they would move to live with their father or stay with the family who had raised them thus far.

However, the former Pastor Alaba was advised to return to his career of driving and remove the title Pastor from his name for the time being unless God Almighty spoke again on the contrary.

 

Personally thanking each of the guardians of Mr Alaba’s children, Prophet TB Joshua said he would see each of them in his office to discuss the future and give a special blessing for their love, care and understanding shown in this unusual situation.

 

An extraordinary end to an extraordinary situation, God Almighty has once again proved that nothing is impossible to those who believe and sending the families on their way the man of God gave each person three bags of rice.

THE OBASI FAMILY DELIVERANCE AND RESTORATION

Mrs Shelly Obasi and her family, who had been delivered from the destructive use of demonic entities which had given them evil power to seduce, destroy and steal from those who had not learnt to walk in the Spirit in Christ Jesus.

The mother and daughter, Princess who had both manifested during previous services at The SCOAN and were delivered from the hands of the devil testified of how the peace of God had enveloped their hearts and now their desire was to return to South Africa, the children to continue in their education, and their mother, Shelly, to return to her business, grateful for the freedom they had received in the name of Jesus Christ. After providing flight tickets for the family of five, the man of God TB Joshua also gave the family N600,000 to launch them into their new lives. The tearful, quivering voice of Princess Obasi thanked the man of God and Emmanuel TV Partners on behalf of the family.

MRS LENA OFOSU – AN UNNERVING ACCOUNT OF THE REALITY BEING A WIFE TO A MARINE SPIRIT

Mrs Lena Ofosu, stood before the congregation while a cassette was played documenting how the Emmanuel TV Team accompanied her on her return to her shrine in Ghana where she had practiced as a wife to a spiritual husband, spiritualist and queen mother in the marine kingdom. Now, delivered from the spiritual husband that had plagued her life since birth, Mrs Ofosu exposed the kingdom of the devil and the many ritual practices she had been involved in since the age of 14.

She described and demonstrated the way she was taught to serve her spiritual husband and recounted the disturbing visits and their destructive effects on her life and marriages causing death, poverty, failure and immorality. Then, Lena Ofosu went on to divulge the secrets of the spiritualists and their demonic influence on society, her having been released from their dark tentacles.

The Goliath in her life had truly been defeated and disgraced by the light of Jesus Christ and she told the congregation not to doubt what they saw in The SCOAN because it was real; she was a real agent of darkness and had done so much damage. Therefore, others should learn now to maintain a strong relationship with God and never let Him go.

INDONESIA AND CURRENT PROPHESIES

The man of God, Prophet TB Joshua then reminded the worldwide congregation of some of his recent prophecies, some of which had recently come to pass including the horrendous flooding in Indonesia and the reiteration of some of his prophesied made on New Year’s Day and a few new prophecies to the nations of France, Germany, Nigeria and the United States of America, further details of which would soon show on Emmanuel TV as the events came closer.

The man of God reminded all and sundry that prophecy was to expose the intrigues, plan and strategy of the devil and stop them by coming together to pray. Clearly, the response of a humble believing soul is to take the Word from the mouth of the Lord and commit it to God in prayer for His favour and mercy. He, who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.

BELIEVING IS POSSESSING

The service started with the prayer line, where visitors to The SCOAN from all over the world were prayed for by the Wise Men. Instant healing and deliverance were followed by instant testimonies, to the glory of God.

T.B. Joshua gave an encouraging message, titled, “Believing Is Possessing”. He used Mark 16:17-18 and 1 John 5:1-4, 13-14 as proof-texts for the message. He spoke on the importance of believing, saying, “Believing is possessing. When you believe God’s Word, you possess the thing that His Word has guaranteed.” He stated that when you believe His Word, you will pray and know that it is His will, adding that when we pray according to His will, we are assured that He heard and that is as good as an answer. He emphasised on the importance of the Word, noting that when your heart is rooted and grounded in the Word, what God says is final with you.

He spoke on the various challenges people were facing, saying, that they should leave it for God and not worry, adding that God does not need your meditation over your situation to handle it. “Your word then in Jesus’ name makes things come into being. I mean, come to pass. So, leave it for God, if you believe. It is no longer your burden as long as you do not repudiate it by a wrong confession.”

GODDESS FROM THE BLACK SEA DELIVERED & HER FAMILY RECONCILED

A video was played, when Wise Man John Chi was praying for people at the prayer line in the name of Jesus Christ. Happiness Iwolomen, the sister of Pauline Iwolomen who was delivered a few weeks earlier at The SCOAN, a young woman manifested after the prayer of the wise man and the evil spirit within her started to speak out saying that it was a snake. The spirit of snake within her confessed that it had caused her setback in all areas of her life, hatred from many people and no marriage or good relationship.

Happiness was invited forward to share her experiences and her testimony after deliverance. In her statement she had received a commission to destroy men by seducing them. In her dreams, she saw herself as a goddess from the black sea. The spirit had made her to live a bad life and become a prostitute. It was through prostitution that she was able to pay her school and university fees. She said that the spirit of snake within her had given her the strength to sleep with sometimes up to 10 men in a day and that the men thought they were sleeping with a woman, but in actual fact, it was a snake. She said that after she slept with a man, he would either become impotent, have low sperm count or his business would miserably collapse. She said the spirit had given her power in her eyes to seduce any man she looked at to follow her and lust after her. All her life, she had been looking for love and acceptance that she had lacked in her home which was ridden by evil attacks, her mother and father constantly fighting. She lacked the parental care which was so much needed. She felt bad about her behaviour and lifestyle after she had come to understand herself following the deliverance. She vowed to dedicate her life to Christ Jesus and to henceforth live entirely for Him.

Her mother, Vero, also spoke. She had equally received her deliverance at The SCOAN. She said she had a strong occultic background and had a covenant with the idols in her village which would demand for human sacrifices. As a result of this, some of her children had already died. She was made chief priestess of a shrine in the market place at the age of 7 years. The community would come to her to appeal to the gods of their behalf. She said the reason why she married her husband was because she would be able to dominate him and the demon told her that she would overrule anything he did or wanted. Sure enough, after getting married, it was clear for all to see who was in charge. She said the evil spirit within her had caused her to possess the spirit of a man and to behave like a man, having no affection at all for her husband and children. That affection was instead replaced by a lethal spirit of anger and rage, which had caused her to lash out both verbally and physically numerous times at her family. She confessed that, once, the spirit had pushed her to pour kerosene all over Pauline, set to burn her alive. Her first son had died, aged 27 and she was incredibly grateful to God for her liberation, as she was afraid that the demon might have killed her daughters too, soon as they were approaching the same age. The spirit within her had destroyed her husband’s life and caused them so much suffering. He had become totally useless and a shadow of his former self.

After her deliverance, Vero, confessed to being a changed person. The anger had gone, the control spirit had gone and she had realized her mistakes of the past and was thanking Jesus for giving her another chance and a new lease for life.

Dennis Iwolomen, her husband also spoke. His case was pitiful as he narrated his painful experiences and encounters over the years. Initially, before getting married, things were going well with him, but after marriage, he had developed glaucoma, lost his job and found himself totally under the check and control of his domineering wife. He said that there were times his wife had locked the doors of the house to prevent him from going out and that the situation had caused him to consider suicide as a way out. He said he was always crying in despair as a result of this tormented life he had to endure for so many years. He appealed for deliverance and freedom.

The whole family thanked Jesus Christ again for delivering them one by one for His glory.

POSSESSED PASTOR SET FREE FOREVER

Another video was played showing Wise Man Racine praying for people.  An evil spirit in a young man spoke that it was the oracle in the man’s village and that it entered him in order to destroy him. It called itself “Amadioha”, and had destroyed the man’s ministry and sent him women to dispossess him of God-given powers. Though the pastor had spent 21 days fasting and praying, he would fall into lust because he was weak, the spirit had said.

Pastor Christopher Ikeije of the Power of End Time Message Ministry, Abia State, narrated his story and testimony. At age 5 or 6 years, he had experienced strange things; he saw demons and a strange man following him, always. When he was 10 years old, upon realizing that his entire family was gripped by poverty and affliction, he decided to leave the village and fend for himself. When probing his father as to the cause of the family’s limitations, he was told of a deity which had been brought to the village by some people, but which was demanding blood.

Christopher eventually travelled out of Nigeria, where things were still rough with him. He was arrested overseas and returned to Nigeria. Upon his return, he visited a church and explained to the pastor about the strange spiritual attacks he was facing. The pastor explained that this was a sign of God’s calling in his life and advised him to start ministry work. He soon joined the ministry and trained as a pastor, conducting deliverance and ministering to people.

However, as he strove to advance in his anointing, the strange force that had plagued him from childhood suddenly revealed itself. In a dream, he saw himself in a large shrine at his village. A voice harshly spoke from a large tree planted there, warning Pastor Christopher that they were angry at his refusal to serve them. Suddenly, a black and red cloth flew from the tree and entered inside his body. Startled, Pastor Christopher woke up, realising he was up against demonic forces of darkness.

Immediately following this spiritual encounter, his life steadily spiraled downwards. His zeal to read the Bible and pray became almost non-existent. He was afflicted with a spirit of lust that overpowered him to the point of sleeping with any woman he prayed for. He recalled a particular encounter when, after he slept with one of such women, she told him that his anointing had disappeared. Knowing that he needed deliverance, Pastor Christopher began seeking the face of God for direction of where to go to. He entered a 21 day fast, determined that if he didn’t receive an answer from God in that timeframe, he would return fully to the world. During his fast, Prophet TB Joshua appeared in his dreams four times. In his last encounter with Prophet T.B. Joshua in the dream, he saw him confronting a large demonic force dressed in the same black and red material that had entered him earlier. After those satanic forces were subdued by the superior power of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua then instructed him to come for deliverance. The following week he came to The SCOAN and was miraculously delivered by Wise Man Racine.

Pastor Christopher said that since his deliverance, he said he had started to live a full and free life in Christ. His zeal to pray and read his Bible had returned in full force and the lust for women had gone. To God be the glory!

 

NIGERIAN PRISONERS RETURN FROM PRISON IN LIBYA

One event which was very inspiring during the service was the appearance of a number of Nigerian illegal immigrants from Libya. These Nigerians who were imprisoned in Libya had called The SCOAN seeking for prayers from the man of God, Prophet TB Joshua for God to intervene in their desperate situation. They said that many of them were arrested for one reason or another when the war broke out in Libya and that the conditions in the prison there were deplorable. They had cried out for help because in the aftermath of the war, they had  been in prison for up to 7 months without anyone coming to their aid.

On receiving the message, TB Joshua had assured them of his prayers and had even made a public appeal for them on Emmanuel TV during the live Sunday Service on May 6^th, 2012.

While narrating their tale, they stated that a few weeks after the call for prayer and appeal, the ambassador of the Nigerian Embassy in Libya had come to their aid and they had been released and flown safely back to their country.

Upon arrival, their first port of call was The SCOAN, seeking for an opportunity to show their sincere appreciation for what God had done in their lives. Little did they imagine or expect though that they would receive so much more than that.

Prophet TB Joshua and the Emmanuel TV partners proceeded to present each individual with N100,000 and 3 bags of rice for their upkeep and feeding. “This is on behalf of Libya, Nigeria and Africa” TB Joshua said, adding that this was an opportunity for them to start their lives again on a fresh foot. He encouraged them to return to their families and be honest about what had happened, stating that, “Everything big starts little”.

Three of their spokespersons (Ugbebor Wisdom, Kelly Ahmed and Ikechukwu) spoke of their experiences when war started in Libya – the deaths and imprisonments, hunger and starvation. The response from the ministry clearly overwhelmed them. After the service, each recipient gladly thanked God and TB Joshua for all the support, many of them candidly stating that if it had not been for the intervention of the church, their situation may have led them to further crime and a life on the streets, noting that they had returned from Libya completely empty handed.

The second service was administered by the wise men, as thousands came to receive a touch and many were delivered from their bondages. The service closed in a powerful time of mass prayer and they all left, knowing in their hearts that their case was settled and declaring that the way out for them had come!

‘MY INVISIBLE CHAIN’ – TB JOSHUA

Prophet Temitope Joshua of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations, Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos, explains the source of his strength and vision, and his care for the aged and needy, to The Week team of Clement Okitikpi (MD), Oluwasegun Abifarin (Editor) and Emeka Ngwei.

 How did the ministry start?

Well, I want to start by saying that no one in the world is born with great knowledge. You become what you are; you discover what you know. But if I begin to tell you the genesis of the ministry, we won’t leave here today. Discovery is for forward lookers. So, no one is born with great knowledge.

I was in a trance for three consecutive days, then I saw a hand that pointed a Bible to my heart and the Bible entered my heart and my former heart seemed to immerse with the Bible immediately. Then the awareness came and I saw the apostles and prophets of old with someone whose head I could not see because He was tall to the heaven and suspended, which I believe was our Lord Jesus Christ sitting in their midst. I also saw myself in their midst. After a while, I saw a hand of the same tall man, I could not behold His face, which was glittering with an unimaginable light, tall to the high heavens and suspended in the air. But other apostles I could see their faces, particularly Apostles Peter and Paul, Prophets Moses, Elijah and others. Their names were boldly written on their chests.

I heard a voice saying, “I am your God; I am giving you a divine commission to go and carry out the work of the Heavenly Father”. At the same time, the same hand of the tall man gave me a small cross and a big Bible, bigger than the one that entered my heart with a promise that as I keep pressing in His time and name, I would be given a bigger cross but if I fail the opposite would occur. I also heard a voice of the same tall man, I could not see His head, saying, I am the Lord your God who was and who is – Jesus Christ, giving orders to all the apostles and prophets. The same voice said to me, “I would show you the wonderful ways I would reveal myself through you, in teaching, preaching, miracles, signs and wonders for the salvation of souls”.

Since then, I have been receiving in my vision, every year according to my faithfulness to God, a bigger cross that means to me more responsibilities.

What was on your mind when you started the ministry?

That is one important area. For instance, I have been alone here (in the prayer mountain) for the last five hours. I dreamt of a place like this – a swampy area, neglected, where people or government will not dream of coming. I come here, sit here, read and meditate. Above all, I know that I am a product of grace, not the works of righteousness which I have done. I am weak; I am nobody, without formal education. What I want to say is that God has manifested His strength in my weakness. It can also be explained that I am like a dog without teeth. When you have a house and you keep without teeth as a guard, each time the enemy comes, it will bark and then the owner will come out to do the work.

Sometimes, your miracles look like magic…

When it comes to power, God Himself is the power. God often uses foolish things to confound the wise. That is why people like me will ever be grateful to God. In terms of knowledge, education and name, I am nowhere – a neglected stone. I think that is why the persecution was too much. Everything about me is nothing, nothing. But I think no man should boast.

When you were young, did you have any idea that you will one day go into pastoral work?

Then, when I was very young, one thing I knew then and that still happens to me now, is that there is an invisible chain, invisible padlock. What I want to touch, I can’t touch; what I want to say is not what I am saying. Where I want to go is not where I am going. What I want to wear is not what I am wearing. It is like there is a restriction. That has been my experience right form when I was young. That is why you will never find or see me accusing or condemning somebody. I have always restored anyone who has done any wrong in a gentle way, instead of condemning the fellow, because I know it is not by my power that I am doing the right thing.

An invisible padlock

So, I will say the work of righteousness is not my work; it is my faith in His work. The work of healing is not my work, but by faith, healing is done. The work of deliverance, great and mighty deliverance is not my work, but is my faith in Him. It is not the works of righteousness which I have done, but according to His grace. I am a product of His grace.

What’s the difference between Joshua as a person and Joshua as a prophet?

You have two natures in one person – the human and divine nature. Take our Lord Jesus for instance, for his human nature – he was a descendant of David, and for His divine nature – he was raised from the dead by the power of God.

As for TB Joshua, I am a descendant of my family in Arigidi-Akoko in Ondo State, Nigeria – but as for the divine nature, the power of God affects my life to give peace to people, deliverance to people and healing to people. Apart from the power of God, nobody would have noticed me or known where I am. So, it is the power of God that brings the difference, the challenges and an uncommon persecution. Uncommon blessing attracts uncommon persecution. Common blessing attracts common persecution. Uncommon progress attracts uncommon attacks.

Is the Ikotun Headquarters the only branch in Nigeria?

No, we have branches in Akure, Port Harcourt, Jos, Kogi and outside the country also. When you get to the church there, you will see at least 30 different countries represented. There are here to take the ministry back to their countries.

You are on satellite with Emmanuel TV, which is quite expensive. Where is the funding coming from?

Money. Something unbelievers can have should not be a problem to a child of God. Dubious and unrighteous people, they have money. How much more a man of God? So, what are you talking about? Unbelievers, they have money and throw it about. So, let’s talk about something unique. Money is not a unique thing. It is common. You see, everybody talking about money, money, money. Anybody can have money – but let’s talk of what anybody or everybody cannot have. Even the cathedral, anybody can have it. Even satan can build a big mansion; it is a question of money.

It is like you are a prophet without honour at home and among your people.

Even Jesus Christ was not popular among His people. Even till today among some Jews. We thank God for that, because if Jesus had been restricted to only His people in Palestine and Jersualem, how will people like you and me know about Christ and the Kingdom of God today, not to talk of preaching the gospel and becoming a pastor or prophet.

And even here in Nigeria, most of the popular pastors at home anchor their popularity at home on their fame abroad.

Are you also planning to go to the Lagos-Ibadan Express Road to establish a camp ground, as it is the fashion today?

Right from my youth, I have learnt not to go with the crowd. If we are in the same business of selling shoes for instance, if you are selling in Tejuosho (Yaba) market, I won’t go there. I will find another market to sell my own. That way, we are spreading. This swamp, which is our prayer mountain, is our camp.

When you also look at the missionary works outside the country, you will see all the men of God going to Europe and America. I have decided to face the Asian continent. That way, we are fulfilling the mandate of our Lord Jesus Christ to take the gospel to the end of the earth and make disciples of all nations.

What is the motivation for your help to the old and the aged?

My help is not only to the old people, but to the lonely, the weak and the poor in society. The Bible says charity and faith in Jesus Christ go together. When you say you have Jesus by faith, without the work of charity, it is nothing. This does not mean however that charity alone is enough to bring us to salvation, but it forms the basis for judging our level of kindness – because looking the other way when your brother is in trouble is equal to rejecting Christ Himself.

Supporting the aged ones

Then, going to the issue of aged people, in this part of our world, it seems it has become a crime to be old and aged. Even many of those who are well to do in our society, the will build a house and put their old and aged in the backyard, as if they are no more useful. But we want to tell the world that it is not a crime to be old and aged. It is time to show appreciation to God for using them to bring us into this world.

The time they cannot work again is the time we should take it upon ourselves to take care for them, like babies. The life they gave us when we were newly born, it is time to give them back now they are old. It is not the time we should isolate them, put them in isolation.

Rejection and isolation are also deadly and incurable diseases like AIDs. We are even praying for God to give us the grace to build a beautiful resort where we can bring them together and properly take care of them, give them medical attention and those who have not travelled before, we fly them outside the country for them to enjoy the best of pleasure, before they die.

For how long have you been planning this?

We have been on this for the past 10 years. It is not just now. These people have been lonely and isolated for a long time, and that has killed many of them. It is not just now that we jump into it, we have been showing that love that Christ gave to us.

I want to tell you that our position in Christ Jesus is enhanced each time we help our fellow brothers.

What has been the reaction of these people and their relations to the program?

Some of them – in fact, many of them, don’t even know me. They only see me on the television screen.

Apart from the aged, do you have programmes for other categories of the needy?

Yes, not only the aged – the Lord is also using us to cater for other categories of people. We have a program for the dwarfs and the destitute. We have also given scholarships to many university students. I don’t know any of these people, and we are not doing it to receive ‘thank-you’ from them.

How did you locate these people?

I believe many of them are not in Lagos. You people live in Lagos, and put your old people in the village.

People say you appear to them in their dream. Can you clarify this?

When I am not God… God can also use you. Don’t be surprised that people can dream and see you.  If God can use the pool of Bethesda, He can use anyone. He uses horses and camels. God can use anything. And I want to tell you that everyone is created with a gift, and each gift is meant to meet a need. It is your gift that God will use to bless others through you. So tomorrow, God can use you to appear to other people, and to pray for them.

How much is the church investing in this care of the aged project?

For the past nine years, we started the whole thing with about 1.5million but it has gradually gone up to N6million per month. But I must tell you, my brothers, that I don’t have enough to live a flamboyant life because of all these.  I even have some students that I gave scholarship to in Ghana, and many other universities in Nigeria.

A privilege to give

It is a rare privilege to do this. We may think we are helping them. No, we are not helping them. Our position in Christ Jesus is enhanced each time we help our fellow brothers. It is a real privilege to be in a position to give. This is what Jesus meant in Matthew 25:45, that whatsoever you do or fail to do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me. In other words, Jesus has no farm where He expects you to help Him or an office where he expects you to carry files. He said my farm and office are your fellow brothers.

A lot of churches are getting into the business of establishing universities. Are you thinking along that line?

What God has commissioned me to do here is to care for these people – the destitute, the needy and the poor. So that church here can have a theology school. That is all. I should not dabble into the issue of university. Theology, from primary school to university – that is my calling. I should not dabble into science or law. Anyone that wants to study law or science should go to University of Lagos!

Is TB Joshua A Prophet Among Us? – The Times of Zambia

 THERE has been so much controversy surrounding Nigerian prophet TB Joshua, a man renowned world over yet most vilified over for his miracle healing services and predictions. The controversies have been raging ever since TB Joshua’s ministry stormed into the public domain bringing into question the legitimacy of his works. In talking about legitimacy, I am referring to the standards as set forth in the scriptures, which would help us, identify a genuine prophet. Who then is TB Joshua?

TB Joshua whose full names are Temitope Balogun Joshua was born on June 12, 1963, in a village called Arigidi, in Ikare Akoko, Ondo State of Nigeria. He is married to Evelyn and has four children. TB Joshua, the founder and pastor of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations is said to have sparked controversy starting with his mysterious birth. He allegedly remained in his mother’s womb for 15 months before he was born. He attended primary school at St Steven Anglican school from 1971-1977, but failed to complete one year of secondary school. But as he was growing up, he was known as a “small pastor” because of his love for the Bible and ability to predict things to come in his community. He further gained reputation for spiritual prowess after confronting and disarming a madman who was wielding a machete in the school premises. While in school he was the leader of a scripture union.

When Joshua started the Synagogue Church of All Nations in 1987, he just had a handful of members but since then the church has grown far beyond the shores of Nigeria. More than 15,000 members attend the weekly Sunday service. Numerous videos have been produced documenting the healing of incurable sickness, cancer, paralysis, AIDS, showing people’s conditions before, during and after prayer. Medical doctors have examined the patients before and after and have testified to a supernatural activity beyond medical science. TB Joshua does not even claim to be healer but says, “I am just God’s servant”.

TB Joshua has made phenomenal predictions in full view of a global audience on the satellite Christian Television, Emmanuel TV and all of them have come to pass. He predicted the death of president Levy Mwanawasa a month before it happened, the disastrous cyclone in Myanmar, the attempted assassination of the prime minister of Lesotho Pakalitha Mosisili, resignation of Pakistan president Pervez Musharaf, the comet slam into planet Jupiter which caused quite a fray in the scientific community and more recently the death of American pop star Michael Jackson.

On Michael Jackson’s death, the prophet was seen by a global audience via his television network saying, “I see a star being rushed to the hospital but he wont come back home, the whole world will be shocked. He is a great star in his world”. To add mystery to this prediction, TB Joshua sent a message through the pop star’s associates to let Michael come for prayer and deliverance in Nigeria. The associates thought the message a bit misplaced, because Michael was declared medically fit by his doctors and he was billed for a world concert tour beginning July 13. But alas! That was not to be, he died on June 25 before seeing Prophet TB Joshua.

Despite all these happenings Prophet TB Joshua has come under heavy attack from many, some of whom have labelled him a false prophet. And the debate about the authenticity of his ministry unfortunately has been orchestrated by a section of the clergy within the charismatic Pentecostal brand of Christendom. This has left many lay people unfamiliar with scriptures, let alone issues of Christian theology confused, as reverends or bishops are keener to criticise prophet TB Joshua than providing Biblical counsel.

Since the beaming of Emmanuel TV on free channel stations in most parts of Zambia, we have witnessed an unprecedented following of TB Joshua’s programmes.  As a result, emotive debates have emerged from the pulpits to the pews, between clergy and lay people. The man has arrived on the scene, should we dismiss him or his utterances as the ravings of a madman? How do we know for sure that we have a prophet among us?

This article is written on the assumption that the readers hold to the sacredness of the Bible as the inspired scriptures from whence we would draw our authority in judging a matter as heresy or sound doctrine. It is against this background that we seek to examine the ministry of this man, in the light of scriptures. There are fundamental rules in the scriptures, which must be used to judge whether something is of God, or not. In the absence of this knowledge, one would easily find themselves opposing God or abetting apostasy. To begin with, if one does not subscribe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, they will have nothing to do with this subject at hand because there would be no basis by which any meaningful discourse can rest upon.

But if we want to find out if he is a fraud as some are claiming, or a true servant of the Lord, we can only do so with the aid of scriptures. Let’s examine for example the standards used in the scriptures to test a prophet. Deuteronomy 18:20; “But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death. You may say to yourselves, ‘how can we when a message has been spoken by the Lord? If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, do not be afraid of him”.(New International Version)

The precise knowledge of the future according to this scripture, is a preserve of the Most High God, and only God can reveal detailed events to happen in the future to His servants. Therefore, if a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord and the events take place, then you need to pay heed lest you find yourself opposing the Holy Spirit.

In the book of 1 John 4:2 :“This is how you can recognise the Spirit of God; every spirit that acknowledges Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the anti-christ which you head is coming and even now is already in the world”. The authenticity of any ministry is tested by how they profess about who Jesus Christ is. From all accounts, TB Joshua proclaims Jesus Christ to have come in the flesh hence his motto “Emmanuel” which translates God with us. His messages and sermons lift Jesus as the Christ! And what more?

Signs and wonders are daily phenomena in his ministry, just the way it was as recorded in the book of Mark16:20: “then the disciples went and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by signs that accompanied it”.

TB Joshua’s humanitarian effort touches the needs of widows. The physically challenged and orphans have benefited in his educational support projects. Recently the federal President of Nigeria, Musa Yar’Adua, a Muslim himself awarded him with “Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic” in recognition of his humanitarian efforts. Anyone who is a true seeker of truth can know in the light of scriptures that for sure there is a prophet among us.

2012 – THE YEAR OF COMEBACK

The special New Year’s Eve Candlelight Service that ushered in the New Year 2012 left all those who attended and viewers worldwide happy, grateful to God and full of hope for the coming year.

The service started with healing and deliverance in the name of Jesus as the wise men prayed for International Visitors at The SCOAN at the prayer line. Immediately, people began testifying to the healing and delivering power of God as this power located them and rescued them from the oppression of sickness, disease and affliction.

The SCOAN Sunday School Children then presented a beautiful programme including preaching, singing and dancing to the joy of the congregation which stretched far beyond the four walls of the auditorium to an overflow section. Thousands had come from far and near to begin their New Year by committing themselves wholeheartedly to God in prayer.

Then the choir led the congregation in a powerful time praise and worship to God, directing people’s focus to God, their Creator and Him alone.

Members of the Emmanuel TV Team then presented a dance/ drama titled, “Jesus Meets The Samaritan Woman”. It told the tale of the sinful Samaritan woman taken from the book of John 4 and how she met Jesus who redeemed her.

The message that came with the drama was encouraging and inspiring. Jesus did not reject the sinful Samaritan woman but rather showed her acceptance by offering her living water. Jesus does not reject anyone who comes to Him to be cleansed from sin.

The Boakye Family

A MARRIAGE TRANSFORMED
Then it was time for testimonies. Pastor Nicholas Boakye and his wife, Alberta testified to what God had done in their marriage as a couple. The Boakye family who had remained in the church since deliverance three weeks before, thanked God for their lives as a family and the change which their union had enjoyed since the deliverance.
Alberta was happy that her life had experienced such a radical transformation. She no longer sees a man coming to make love with her in her dreams, something she had been tormented with since the age of 16. All unnecessary anger is gone and she smiles broadly now. She advised her listeners that whatever the problem is, they should go to God who has a solution to all human problems. In his own testimony, the husband disclosed how the night after the deliverance at 1:42 am, his wife woke him and told him, ‘I love you’. She also went down on her knees and apologised to him. According to him, she has been humble and gentle since the deliverance, a stark contrast to her behaviour before she was delivered in Jesus’ name. He testified how his ministry in Holland is fast reviving; those who left are already coming back. In his advice to couples, he told them to look beyond whatever happens to them and be focused on God alone.

INCREDIBLE HEALING OF A HAND ULCER

Before the healing

Antonia told the congregation her experience some years ago when her house girl who confessed witchcraft later, tormented her marriage and caused a divorce. The house girl in question caused hatred between the couple leading to Antonia leaving the marriage and renting a place for herself, children and the house girl. Soon after however, the house girl confessed witchcraft and shockingly gave birth to an egg in the house. Immediately Antonia saw this, she grabbed the egg and burnt it. The mistake she made was to touch the egg with her hand. This mistake almost cost Antonia her hand as an ulcer formed and her whole hand started to rot. After exhausting her resources seeking for a cure, she came to The SCOAN for healing from Jesus.

She was arranged at the prayer line and TB Joshua prayed for her. In no time after the prayer, the swollen and decaying palm showed signs of healing. The ulcer which was to cause the amputation of the hand was on the path of healing. To the glory of God, Antonia’s palm was completely healed and she came to The SCOAN for testimony. She advised her listeners to trust God as there is nothing He cannot do for those in desperate need of help.

The footage of a man, Mr Onyeka Nnaji being helped to the prayer line with a horrific leg ulcer, was also shown. The muscle of the calf was eaten away by the ravaging ulcer. Mr Nnaji was prayed for in Jesus’ name and declared free by the man of God and free indeed he was as the leg soon showed signs of healing. As he gave the final testimony, he tapped the leg which showed scars of the old mess and he confessed his total healing. According to him, he was in pain for three years and at the climax of the attack, he lost the power to walk or talk. To the glory of God, Mr Nnaji has been healed and enabled to do all those things which were beyond his power to do before. He advised his listeners to pray and worship God.

JESUS STOPS UTERUS BLEEDING THROUGH THE ANOINTING WATER

Miss Zulu from South Africa

Miss Zulu from South Africa suffered from uterus bleeding for ten years. After all efforts to obtain a cure elsewhere had failed, Zulu’s mother came to The SCOAN and received the Anointing Water. At home in South Africa, Miss Zulu prayed and ministered the Anointing Water. To the glory of God, the bleeding stopped immediately. Overjoyed, she thanked God for her incredible healing and deliverance.

PRAYER SAVES PREGNANCY
Pastor and Evangelist Mrs Mbog of Cameroon came to The SCOAN to thank the Lord for the restoration of her pregnancy which was threatened by miscarriage. After all hospital’s efforts had failed, she phoned one of the Emmanuel TV prayer lines and one of the evangelists prayed for her. She immediately sensed security and restoration of the pregnancy in the course of prayer.

To the glory of God, the turbulence in her womb which had threatened the pregnancy was over with the prayer. Evangelist Mbog thanked the man of God Prophet T.B. Joshua for using using this means to serve humanity as instructed by the Lord Jesus Christ. A beautiful baby girl was the result of the pregnancy.

FROM SETBACK TO SUCCESS
Emmanuel , a student of Microbiology, Federal University of Technology, Owerri gave a testimony of his first class honours degree after he nearly crashed out of university because of poor performance. He related how he had been sick and this had caused him to lose concentration and began to have carryover in his studies. Emmanuel complained to his father who in turn visited The SCOAN and received the Anointing Water.

From setback to 1st class

Emmanuel prayed and sprayed the Anointing Water on himself as he revised and prepared for the exams. The result was extraordinary as he scored A in each of the 15 papers he wrote in the first and second semesters of the session and had a grade point average of 4.51 to make him clinch a first class degree in the final result. Emmanuel displayed his brilliant result as he gave his testimony which was the gift of our Lord, Jesus Christ, through the Anointing Water. He advised all youth to get closer to God. Confirming the testimony, his father, Thomas Egbado thanked T.B. Joshua whom the Lord had used to rewrite the history of his son’s educational performance. He cried for joy as he thanked the Lord and prayed for TB Joshua and the wise men recognizing them as tools in the hands of Almighty God.

A YEAR OF COMEBACK
TB Joshua declared this year, 2012 as a year of COMEBACK- –a comeback to worship the Lord in Spirit and truth. In 2011, he explained, people worshipped their possessions rather than the Giver of those possessions. In 2011, he went on, we never put God where He belonged; we saw Him as one of those things amid our businesses and social issues. God is the only thing.

We often said the Spirit said this or that whereas the Spirit never talked to us. Such worship and worshippers will face challenges in the New Year. In his words, a comeback is a return to a place of significance; a return to a place lost for a period of time. He explained how people need to hear others’ setbacks and comebacks so that they could hold on to their hope. A video clip was shown on the screen of T.B. Joshua’s journey with all its setbacks and comebacks as the church building was destroyed many times before the 5th church was built. In the midst of setbacks, people need hope. Even the great men and women in the Bible, like everyone else, messed up. Why did he go through storms and trials? The prophet asked the congregation. It was so, he answered, because Somebody wanted to turn his difficulty into a testimony. Somebody wanted to turn his sickness into a miracle and his mess into a message. If you do not have a degree in poverty, your degree in blessing is questionable. If you did not have sickness, you would not appreciate good health.

Overflow Congregation

It was then time for prayer and all those present and those watching lit their candles and began to pray their way into the New Year. TB Joshua explained that as the candles were burning away, so whatever unfavourable situations they were in were burning away. Poverty, he said, was ending as the year 2011 was ending.

A prayer for mercy and favour

The candle represents unfavourable situations in our lives and as the candle is burning, we are sailing over obstacles in our lives; poverty is ending with the year 2011 in the name of Jesus Christ. We will overcome adversaries and adversity without hurt to our person.

Addressing Nigeria as a nation, the prophet said:
There is no war between Christians and Muslims. I mean, there is no war between you and your neighbor. There is no war among neighbors. The idea of bombing and burning churches is to cause disagreement and conflict between you and your neighbor, to break the commandment and rule which says, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’. If we are not armed for battle, we will fight the wrong battle. Strikes against your neighbor/ people – this is the wrong battle. God at all times is assembling for Himself a generation of spiritual worshipers. Because God is a Spirit, Christ came to declare God to us.”
He remarked that some people live within four feet ceiling whereas the sky is their limit. God has positioned you to accomplish your destiny in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, he declared.

The prophet also spoke of the grave economic realities of the coming year. The burning and bombing In Nigeria shall fizzle out and in its place there will be economic depression which will affect the whole world as well. He advised Nigerians to go into concentrate more on farming and agriculture and the well-placed to help the less- privileged in society.

During the time when the candles were lit, some extraordinary deliverances also took place. These included that of Jane from Zimbabwe afflicted with the spirit of eating soil, a daughter of a lawyer from Botswana who had the spirit of eating soap and anthill sand for two years, Mandela from Mozambique addicted to eating ice cubes and mint sweets and the case of Mr and Mrs Kolan from Ghana. Mrs Kolan was addicted to eating ice cubes and she was also delivered.

T.B. Joshua concluded the message by reminding the congregation and the viewers watching from around the world of the importance of having a special place to pray in their houses and rooms. He emphasised that there is a great need for us to go on our knees and cry out to God every day for He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end and the Owner of our souls.

OUR TRIALS ARE NOT BEYOND US AS CHILDREN OF GOD

After the choir had prepared the atmosphere with tunes for the Holy Spirit,  Wise Man Christopher emerged for the Sunday message. Greeting the congregation warmly and wishing them easy transformation from darkness to light, he proceeded to pray with them. ‘I believe in your Word’, he went on, as the congregation repeated after him. ‘In your Word is my salvation, redemption and victory’, the wise man took the congregation through a length of heart- lifting prayer to the Lord.  Beginning with a short story of a Christian friend who wondered why he had trials in his life in spite of his devotion to the work of God, the wise man advised that trials and tribulations were part of Christianity. In his words, the Bible says everyone who works with the Lord will have testing but that as a child of God, your trouble is not like others’; it is for the glory of God. Trouble comes not because of any wrong step but because we are in a complex and contradictory world. The children of God, according to him, are passing through this world to a place prepared for them. This Is Not Heaven, he aptly titled his message. Citing John 16:33 as his proof text, the wise man said Jesus overcame for us and so we shall overcome, though there will be disappointments, as said in the proof text. In 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, Apostle Paul derived strength from the Lord. My grace is made perfect in your weakness. Though Apostle Paul was tormented by a thorn in his flesh, the grace of Christ was sufficient for him  and so for us, the wise man affirmed. Continuing, he said the thorn of Christ makes easy and sanctifies our thorns. Jesus took our place in afflictions. Troubles are designed for our spiritual development and  to advance our course. Our situation could be to humble us but to leave us dignified at last. Spiritual burdens are ordered to cure spiritual pride. He allows poverty and setback to humble us. He will however, prepare us for it. Those God calls for service, He makes fit for it, Deuteronomy 28:7. The enemies will come in a united manner but they will be confounded and routed by the superior power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is greater than all the combined forces of hell. He has conquered death for our sake to bring us to the Father. To hope is to look forward to a Heavenly home that will last forever.  Stones were hurled at Stephen but his affection for God’s command was regular because of his hope, Acts 7:54. In Romans 8:35-39, Paul advised Christians to keep the solid front in the face of sickness. The rich should not concentrate on their wealth or the poor on their situation because a man may be poor, yet be a candidate of Heaven. Citing Luke 6:20- 26, the wise man recited the beatitudes. Don’t doubt the genuineness of your spiritual experience or question your sonship of Christ because of your situation. The promise of God can only be appropriated by faith which comes through hearing and obeying the Word of God. We were elected before the foundation of the world to inherit the Kingdom of God. Faith is a necessary condition to access Heaven. Faith purifies and justifies us and removes the guilt of sin. The opening of our eyes of faith is the silencing of our fears. Fear not, for those who are fighting for you are more than those out to destroy you. Because you know that Heaven is your permanent Home, let everything that has to do with you be redeemed now and forever, the wise man prayed in conclusion.

 

THE OBJECT OF FAITH IS GOD

A lot of Christians, Prophet T. B. Joshua said, after commending the message, grumble and despair about their situation because their lives are centred on how they are doing. How clearly, he asked, do we really see our lives? When you look at your life, what do you see? Do you see your life the way Jesus sees it? Continuing, the prophet added, ‘A man I met yesterday told me that the Holy Spirit gave him an idea but advised him not to take the credit.’ Don’t take the credit, he echoed, is a Word from the Holy Ghost. It is all about Jesus, he said. All we do is to give back what we have received from His generous hands. Don’t take the credit, he reminded his listeners. Citing Mark 11:1, he said whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed’, and does not doubt in his heart, it will be done. The prophet emphasized the prayer of faith. The object of our faith is God. Have faith in God, Jesus said, according to him. Teaching today, he went on, encourages believers to have faith in faith. On the contrary, he maintained, it should be on the finished work of Jesus. Because He is good all the time, I can bring my request to Him and cast my cares  upon Him. Why complain, murmur or despair? Realising that He is God and I am not; that He is a Father and I am but a child; He is a Shepherd; I am a straying sheep, I should have faith in God. We often hear, he continued, that prayer changes things but this is not entirely true. Prayer, he corrected, changes us; faith causes things to happen. Advising his listeners to have faith in God, he added, today we pray but lack the necessary faith to release the belief in our hearts. There is power in our mouth; the belief in our heart is released by faith out of our mouth. Faith requires us to speak the Word before we feel or see the result. The object of faith, he concluded, is God.

 

TOTAL DELIVERANCE FROM EATING SAND

Delivered the previous Sunday from the spirit of eating sand and mattress, Ammen in company with his mother appeared on the platform to confirm the deliverance after the video clip refreshed viewers’ minds. Mrs Izah, the mother joyfully told the congregation that her son no more  had no appetite for those things after the deliverance.  Confirming her mother’s testimony in response to the prophet’s questions, Ammen said that he wanted to be a pastor to pray for the sick, so that they would not die and agreed to submit himself to the fasting and prayer demanded by the profession.

 

A woman from Anambra, Nigeria and her 14 year-old son took the platform and told the congregation that the son had been eating sand and mattress since the age of four. She added that her watching the deliverance of a girl from Tanzania on Emmanuel TV, fuelled her visit to The SCOAN regarding their plight. Enlightening his listeners on his affliction, Onyeka Ibiano said that at night, an object appeared to him and that caused the addiction to sand and mattress since that time. After touching and staring at him for a while, the prophet declared him free.

 

 

 

MAN DELIVERED FROM THE SPIRIT OF ROBBERY

A video clip revealed Wise Man Racine as he laid hands on worshippers and asking one man among them, ‘Who are you?’ ‘Nobody’, the man responded. Worried that the man’s deliverance was not thorough as he never opened up, the prophet insisted on his re-deliverance.  Confirming that he never opened up, Chukwemeka Paul, accompanied by his wife, agreed to open up and told the story of his life. He admitted being a cultist in a group of boys who delighted in drinking, robbing  and raping girls. Threatened in Nigeria, he went to Ghana where he discovered that security awareness was even higher and he decided to go into computer training. He married in Ghana but did not approach lovemaking in a normal way, afflicted by the spirit of raping. In a way he never quite understood, he found himself in The SCOAN and after his second deliverance, he demanded to know from the prophet whether the wife who had had twins by him was his God-given wife. He explained that they enjoyed no peace in their marriage and the wife often nagged, calling him a baby especially because of his age. He added that he enjoyed peace more with other women than with his wife. The wife narrated that the man lured her into cultism after she married him. They came into the relationship through a call given to her by the erroneous tapping of just a digit by the man who had intended to call his sister. She was not surprised because her church had told her that her prospective husband would locate her in such a manner. She however complained about the raping approach of her husband to lovemaking. The man of God delivered them and declared their marriage sanctified from Heaven.

 

 

 

 

 

YOUNG LADY DELIVERED FROM MANY EVIL SPIRITS

The osude family from Anambra, Nigeria, though resident in Lagos, appeared on the platform for their  testimony.
According to the spokesperson among them, they came for the Monday service where Wise Man Christopher prayed and laid hands on them. But on Wednesday, they noticed that their sister, Ikechukwu started to display signs and antics of evil attacks causing her to be violent. It was in that state of violence that they brought her back to the church. As the wise man laid hands on Ikechukwu on the Monday in question, she opened up in a smile and Wise Man Christopher told her that he knew her and she knew he knew her. In her testimony after the second deliverance in the prayer line, she told her listeners that after the Monday service, she began to behave funnily and talk nonsense by Wednesday and so her family brought her to The SCOAN on Thursday. She said she possessed many evil spirits which gave her all sorts of powers that she used to wreck the lives of her parents and siblings.  She said her misbehaviour began at the age of five, when she was afflicted with the spirits of lust and gluttony among others. At the age of five, she was fond of watching herself act before a mirror, where a woman appeared to her and asked her whether she would be her friend. She agreed and thereafter, she played with the woman often, though unnoticed by other people. She started having meetings in the spirit world and had astral powers by which she visited many parts of the world effortlessly. She attacked members of her family one after the other. She afflicted her father with high blood pressure and made him a debtor. She wrecked her mother’s business and rendered her sisters jobless in spite of their very good degrees in International Relations.  At the end of her breath-taking and most surprising confession, she pleaded with the man of God to deliver her family from all the evils of the devil for the past 50 years.

 

ANOINTING WATER DELIVERS THE WORLD

The miraculous work of the Anointing Water in the four corners of the earth was shown on Emmanuel TV. In country after country where the Anointing Water was administered, the atmosphere became charged with anointing that set the devil and all its evil spirits in confusion and disarray. Many of the faithful in such locations became delivered   from ailments which many prayers of yesteryears were yet to free them from. In eager anticipation of the miracles associated with the Anointing Water, congregants besieged the venues in their thousands before the appointed time of service. To the glory of God, they were not disappointed because many left the scene with testimonies of deliverance and healing. That was the picture in London, UK; Athens, Greece; Cape Town, South Africa; Accra, Ghana and other locations where the Anointing Water was ministered.  In Cameroon, where the man of God had just okayed a house fellowship for a family about a month before, the congregation was so much that the man of God, in his surprise, never knew how to classify it. Equally amazing, according to the family granted the concession, was the dumbfounding work of the Anointing Water in deliverance and healing.

 

WRISTBAND WRIGGLES POLICE OFFICER FROM DEATH

Mr John Mark of Kogi State but working in Katsina as a chief superintendent of police also mounted the platform for his testimony. He said he had come to The SCOAN on 31^st December for a breakthrough service during the candle night. He added that the man of God prophesied about violence in the country and advised worshippers to obtain both the Anointing Water and the Wristband, which he did. On a date in May 2011, water came out of his Wristband unusually like sweat.  Not quite sure how to react to the situation, he stayed put in his office until his phone rang and a voice asked him to take one of the vehicles for patrol on one of the major streets. He noticed that as he came out of the office, the sweat on the Wristband stopped. He never knew that at that time, hoodlums had come to plant bombs in the police premises. As soon as he drove out for the patrol, he had a terrible sound of the detonated bomb that brought the entire office down in rubbles.  To his surprise, the portion of the office block where he hung the portrait of the man of God and the Anointing Water stood strong and unaffected by the bomb blast. The panel of investigators who had earlier suspected that he had secret knowledge of the blast before it happened, in view of the fact that it was just ten minutes after he left when the blast occurred, became convinced that his safety was the work of God when they saw the Anointing Water and the portrait still hanging safely. Before then, the service provider had no record too of the voice that invited him out of the office. It was the Holy Spirit, they then realised, that took him out of the office and death by that call. Thanking God for His mercy, Mr John Mark remarked that he had become a different person and that his life was no more his. As regards the breakthrough for which he came for the candle light service, Mr John told his listeners that he got it in many areas of his life.

 

CEASED MENSTRUATION REVIVED AFTER LAYING HANDS

Mrs Ogeshi Okeke from Imo State joyfully mounted the podium to tell her listeners that after the hand- laying ceremony of the very day, she went to the ladies to check herself following the sensation she received when Wise Man Racine laid hands on her.  She had, since her miscarriage last December, lost her menstruation and was longing for it. In the ladies, she saw that her menstruation had miraculously surfaced and she thanked God most spiritedly for the miracle, reassuring her listeners that everything happen at the opportune time and that nothing is beyond God. It is all praise to God almighty as we watch the miracles  which we read in the Bible happening again ceaselessly in our time.

WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE

After the songs of praise and worship by which the day’s service commenced were over, Wise Man Daniel proceeded to give the message entitled, ‘Trusting In Christ’s Suffering’ by which he reminded the congregation that Christ died on the Cross to provide our needs which he said were healing, deliverance, blessing among others. He cited 1st Peter 2:21-24 as his proof text. Dwelling on the significance of Palm Sunday, he averred that that the Lord’s instruction regarding the donkey was characteristically not vague. Jesus is a Man of vision who says what He means and means what He says. His was instruction in boldness, certainty, righteousness and power. His rebuke was for our peace. His death was miserable and His disciples must be ready to bear His cross. By His suffering there is assurance of life for us.

ANOINTING WATER STOPS ISSUE OF BLOOD
After the prophet’s usual introductory remarks about the new Anointing Water, there was a surge of congregants wishing to testify to the instrumentality of the Anointing Water. The first person to enjoy the opportunity of giving a testimony was Mrs Elizabeth Aghachiebonam of Ebonyi State, though resident in Abuja. Her problem, according to her, was the issue of blood for two years. She recounted the trouble her husband had taken to find a solution for her in hospitals and churches without hitting any success. The problem started as internal heat and generated pain all over her body making her pass through sleepless nights. While people would be sleeping at night, she would see herself restless and reeling in pain. Coming to The SCOAN on the Thursday preceding the Sunday of testimony, she said she received the Anointing Water immediately on arrival and administered it on herself in compliance with the instruction. As soon as she applied it, the bleeding stopped. She happily told the congregation that she had started enjoying her nightly sleep and comfort of body following the staunching of the blood. She seized the opportunity to advise her listeners to have faith in the Lord, their Creator who is always there for them in times of need.

ANOINTING WATER OBVIATES OPERATION
The next testimony was given by the Akhere family. Mrs Akhere had been told by her doctor that she would require operation to deliver her baby because of her tight cervix. She therefore visited The SCOAN to seek the face of the Lord. She received the Anointing Water and administered it on herself in prayer for safe delivery. After this, she delivered her baby safely without operation. They named their baby Harry after Wise Man Harry. They profusely thanked God with whom, they recognized, nothing is impossible.

ANOINTING WATER AND GOD’S OMNIPRESENCE
The omnipresent nature of God was demonstrated with the Anointing Water in many parts of the world. The video clips revealed the work of the Anointing Water in other countries of which Greece was one. The clip showed a woman, Shaze Qualli who for twelve years depended on crutches for movement. The Anointing Water dispelled all the darkness in her and delivered her from all pain and infirmity. Another man who depended on crutches for movement was also delivered in the same way. There were many who, hitherto in the throes of contrary spirits, fell down under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and were delivered with the administration of the Anointing Water.

A similar feat was revealed in Ghana where a woman who had not been able to walk for years was declared free by an evangelist spraying the Anointing Water on her and she responded immediately by standing up to walk. A young man was also freed from evil spirits and he thanked God having been delivered through the medium of the Anointing Water. Mr John, a sergeant in the Ghanaian army, had for five years been incapacitated because of an injury he sustained in an accident. Spraying the new Anointing Water on him, an evangelist declared him free and he resumed walking immediately.

ANOINTING WATER RESTORES HEAD TO SHAPE
While the congregation was engrossed watching these miracles from other countries, an evangelist in The SCOAN had seen a young man in the church arranged in the prayer line because of a development in his head which made the head assume a very abnormal shape. The evangelist proceeded to spray the new Anointing Water on the head and, soon after, pus began to ooze from the head miraculously. In no time the head regained its normal shape after all the pus had come out. This was possibly the greatest miracle of the day as the evacuation of the pus left no mark or scar on the head after restoring the head to shape.

MARITAL UNDERSTANDING ACHIEVED
The next was the reconciliation of Mr and Mrs Elizabeth Aghachiebonam as hinted in the previous service. The next paragraph entitled MISUNDERSTANDING WORDS OF PROPHECY was their story in a nutshell at the end of service the week before. But to the glory of God, the couple reappeared on the platform this Sunday to thank God for their successful reconciliation and for the grace of understanding and appreciating each other the more as a couple. The very striking element of the reconciliation was the dream, Stella, the wife had in which she was told by Prophet T. B. Joshua to remove the ring and bangle on her hand. Contrary to her thinking that she never had those ornaments on her body to remove, the prophet proceeded beyond her skin into her bone to dislodge those ornaments which were an attestation to her union with a spiritual husband. The removal of these ornaments by the prophet marked a turning point in her marital relationship with IK, her earthly husband. The prophet once more appeared to her in a second dream and advised her to relate well to her husband and make ‘forgiveness’ a watchword in their marriage as there is no perfect person or relationship on earth. By the time she wanted to react to the prophet in the dream, he had vanished having laid a formidable spiritual foundation for the marriage. In his reaction, Mr Ikechukwu thanked the prophet for the effectual reconciliation. He added that they had been to the Mountain to pray in the effort to restore peace and love to their marriage. He once more thanked God and the man of God for the restored peace in their marriage.

MISUNDERSTANDING WORDS OF PROPHECY
The next video clip was among other reasons activated to correct the culpable presumptions among the congregants regarding the import of prophecies issued to them. In the said repartee between Wise Man Christopher and Mrs Ezekwelome,the latter corrected the wise man erroneously about her marital status. When Wise Man Christopher cautioned her to be careful about disappointments, the lady misinterpreted the expression and promptly told the wise man that she was already married. Making himself clearer, the wise man told her that he knew that. He was, on the contrary, simply warning her about the possible collapse of the marriage if care was not taken. Luckily for the wise man, her husband was around to add that he had sent her home the previous week because of her perceived misdemeanour. Defending herself on the last score, Mrs Ezekwelolome, a non working housewife, deprecated the repression she suffered in the hands of her husband who additionally habitually made her account for every kobo she received from him. She strongly felt that her views and wishes to engage in some private business deserved consideration by her husband. In his defence, the husband stated that apart from taking full charge of her education, he had sponsored her trips to France, Egypt and the United States of America. Her recent wish to go to Dubai for business in gold would put the entire family at risk apart from rendering him the sole caretaker of the children. Speaking on behalf of the womenfolk, about four women in the congregation expressed support for the husband and praised him for his consideration for the welfare of the entire family while advising the wife to be contented with the contributions of the husband to her well-being. The prophet, while inviting them to a reconciliation meeting, expressed the view that a marriage where both participants saw themselves as equally gifted in sophistication and intelligence and neither was ready to bow to the other was indeed a difficult one to manage but with God all things are possible.

MAN DELIVERED FROM IMPOTENCE
Mr Ameni Shabani of Congo DRC mounted the platform to confirm his deliverance from impotence last Sunday during the service. He had lost his wife to a houseboy because of his inability to dose sexual gratification to her. He lost his sexual virility when he was made to drink some concoction and wash himself with the water. He said his wife accused her of not finding time for her but added that he spent all his time looking for money for his wife in order to make the home comfortable. Both his wife and the houseboy took advantage of his loss of virility to redefine their relationship and started a sexual intimacy resulting in the loss of the wife to the houseboy. Mr Shabani added that his eloped wife later told him that only one of the two children they had together was his. It was for that reason he decided to leave both children for her till when he hoped to establish his paternity by DNA. Both ex-wife and houseboy now live together in South Africa. In answering the prophet’s question, Shabani stated that it was painful to lose his wife to a houseboy but in his state of loss of manhood then, there was nothing he could do. He was however happy for his deliverance which has put him in a position to consider getting married again. He expressed the hope of coming to The SCOAN after marriage on ‘a thank you mission’ with his new wife. He thanked God and the man of God for his restoration.

INTREPID JOURNEY TO SEE PROPHET
The next testimony was given by a young man, Mr Jeff Katanga from Zambia who came all the way from Zambia crossing not less than seven countries in a very long, tortuous and dangerous journey to Nigeria. The young man in question lost both parents recently in quick succession and found himself the caretaker of his siblings. The only hope for him in the present situation when he suddenly became the father of his siblings was Prophet T. B. Joshua. He saw the prophet as the only man who could offer him and his siblings financial help, going by what he had gleaned from Emmanuel TV. It was for that reason that he borrowed money from a widow and travelled from Zambia through Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, Chad and Cameroon to Nigeria. He particularly had challenges in Sudan which was half way between his country and Nigeria because of the civil war there. He was encouraged in his state of penury and physical exhaustion by the fact that if he could get to the Prophet, his condition would change for the better. He spent a total of thirty days on the way before getting to Nigeria on 19th January 2011. Unlike what many would do, he never wanted to shout to the man of God for help but decided to remain prayerful and fasting till God would reveal him to the prophet. He had decided not to be led by his situation because, as he learnt from Emmanuel TV, in every situation God is saying something. He deliberately took refuge in the vicinity of the church till God would reveal him in his plight to the prophet. Truly, when the prophet became aware of him, he welcomed him with the words, ‘You are in your Father’s house’ and promised him that when he would go back, he would enjoy a flight in contradistinction to the risky manner in which he had travelled to Nigeria. In response to the question on what he would have done supposing he never saw the prophet on arrival, he said he would have nigerianized rather than repeat that ordeal back to Zambia. The man of God praised him for his faith, courage and dogged will to succeed in life assuring him that he could see a bright future for him. The man of God however made it clear that his warm reception of the young man should not serve as an incentive for other young men to embark on such risky journeys. Assuring the congregation of prompt resumption of prophetic worship at 10 am the following day, he piloted the service to a close.

GOD’S POWER OF DELIVERANCE

The deliverance of militants from the Niger Delta from all contrary spirits was witnessed on January 16th in the Church service of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations. Three weeks earlier, their Commander, Asoki Jacob had voluntarily surrendered himself for this important deliverance to rescue his being and conscience from being haunted by the spirits of the many people he had assassinated and other atrocities that characterized his life as a militant. Even though he and many of his compatriots had laid down their arms and surrendered to the Federal Government, they were yet to enjoy the ease of conscience as only their physical being was catered for in the accord with the Federal Government. The accord never went deep enough to reach their spiritual being and so, total peace of mind remained perpetually evasive years after the accord. As they put it, they were in constant confrontation, both in the day and in dream, with the spirits of those they had exterminated as the latter were implacable in their quest for vengeance. Consequently, the material comfort and peace of mind which the accord was supposed to bring to them became a mirage. Following the deliverance of Commander Jacob, many of the Ex-militants seeking the same salve, trooped to their Coordinator to present them for deliverance in The SCOAN in order to restore their psyche and sanity skewed by years of hooliganism and gangsterism. It was for this reason that their coordinator brought eight of them for deliverance in the previous Sunday service and a total number of twenty-three in the Church service in focus.

Prophet T. B Joshua elaborately ex-rayed the mental trauma that had been trailing the militants following the abdication of wilful destruction of lives and property and a genuine wish on their part to embrace a lifestyle of decency and accountability. According to the Prophet, the militants had been tormented both night and day by the spirits of those they had killed and no amount of reconciliation with the Federal Government could assuage these spirits. Only deliverance in the church could restrain those spirits from tormenting them and consequently restore their natural equanimity to them. In confirmation of this, their commander, Asoki Jacob confessed to the congregation that since his deliverance two weeks earlier, he had become a different human being enjoying total peace of mind shielded, as he became, from all spirits on the path of vengeance. On his part , the urge to resort to further criminality had also been nipped in the bud by the deliverance. His request to the man of God to resume formal education at the age of 39 confirms, according to the prophet, a rapprochement with normalcy and decency in lifestyle. Married with children as Ex-Commander Asoki is, he would find part-time programme beneficial, according to the prophet who then acceded to his request for help. The rest of them who were delivered that day were each given a total sum of N200,000.

The gift as explained by the prophet came from the combined effort of the Federal Government, Christians and people in general. He also hinted that those of them who received deliverance that day had been in the Church for two weeks where they had benefited from counselling and exposure to the Bible adding that the twenty three who reported for deliverance that day would be made to benefit from the same scheme before receiving deliverance.

Coordinator Jerry Ogboibini, a worker in an oil company saddled himself with the responsibility of bringing the Ex-militants for deliverance. On their part, the Ex-militants pleaded with the man of God for deliverance as they all in unanimity testified to the mental torture they were undergoing as an aftermath of their past lives of wanton killing and militancy. In support of their plea for deliverance, the man of God averred that the first place to prosper was in our spiritual life and so there was need for a consultant in that area. He added that 90% of the world had this problem because of the non-availability of consultants, that is, people to tell the opinion of God.

PARTNERS’ MEETING
All Emmanuel TV Partners held a meeting three days earlier in which they examined, among other issues, the topic of spiritual consultancy. The need for each family in the group to have a spiritual consultant to make the opinion of God known to it was tabled at the end of which they were made to benefit from the spiritual advice of the present five wise men. By the arrangement, each of the families is to be connected to a wise man by phone for God’s opinion on critical issues. Appreciating the new arrangement, the prophet lamented the incursion and obliteration by civilization, of the sacred values of old when men interacted with God. Christianity, he maintained, is more than mere teaching and preaching. It has more to do with practicalizing the power of Jesus.

TESTIMONIES ON ANOINTING WATER AND WRISTBAND
Mrs Folanke narrated how the Wristband she collected the previous week saved her daughter from death. According to her, she sent the Wristband to her daughter and advised her to wear it.

On her part, the daughter, Mrs Bolanle not only accepted the band but used it as enjoined by her mother. After praying with it, Mrs Bolanle wore it and went to bed. The following morning, she went to her shop where unfortunately, she was electrocuted. One of those who came to the scene pulled off the fuse and Mrs Bolanle then fell. Her entire body turned white and her tongue stuck out as she was taken to hospital, dead. Hours later, she started to regain consciousness. Narrating her encounter with death, the woman said she could recollect a force carrying her from the world of the living as she lost consciousness. Thanks to the Holy Spirit in the medium of the Wristband, Mrs Bolanle came to life.

WRISTBAND FLUSHES FALSE PREGNANCY
For over eight years, Mrs Osaro Adasa had been christened Mother of Twins by neighbours who erroneously thought she was pregnant judging by the protrusion of her stomach. That was however not the case. The bloated stomach was simply a developed abnormality which caused her to be jilted by her husband. However, her situation changed on the day she collected and wore the Anointing Wristband.

As soon as she put on the Wristband, she fell and began to writhe in manifestation. In that condition, a voice from within her accused her of attempting to abandon the evil world and joining Jesus Christ. Getting home that evening, she felt her stomach churn and soon after, she began to throw up white and slimy mucous. Like a person suffering from cholera, she also passed out this slimy but (this time) blackish substance through her anus. That same night, she dreamt and saw a baby boy being handed to her by the man of God. As she narrated her testimony, two pictures of her, one snapped before she collected the Wristband and the other after the incident were displayed on the screen to show the disparity in the size of her stomach and the difference was conspicuous and indisputable. Back at home, her neighbours asked her whether she had delivered. In reaction to her testimony, the prophet prophesied that her new husband would come her way very soon. The Anointing Wristband is indeed a medium among many for the manifestation of the powers of God. Glory to Jesus!

ANOINTING WATER BOOSTS FARMING
Madam Martina of Benue State, Nigeria had for nine years been farming in vain as the proceeds from her efforts were not worth the trouble. As a committed farmer, she came to The SCOAN in March 2010 to collect the Anointing Water to redress her situation. This done, she soaked her yam seedlings in water mixed with the Anointing Water before going to sow them. One curious incident was that each time she went to sow, it would be followed by a shower of rain in the period which otherwise was generally dry.

The two tubers of yam she displayed as she gave her testimony substantiated her story beyond all doubt. Rotund and attractive, the yams, like the rest at home, clearly showed protection against the attack of yam beetles and other pests. While congratulating and rejoicing with her, the prophet mooted the idea of inviting farmers for a meeting as farming is the first and most important occupation which in recent times has been diversified. He also seized the opportunity to advise Emmanuel TV Partners to embrace farming even if as a part-time exercise. When God intervenes in your matter, it doesn’t matter what the hurdles are, for surely you shall have cause to thank Him at the end.

Two fishermen from Cameroon, Anthony Amasia and Francis also mounted the podium to testify to the omnipotence of God regarding their fishing business. Disappointed by the paltry returns from their fishing efforts over a long time, they came to The SCOAN for the Anointing Water.

As soon as they got home, they administered the Water on their boats and the company premises. Thereafter their fortunes embraced ascendancy and they have been reputed the best fishermen in Cameroon. May His name be glorified for the effectual intervention in the fortunes of these fishermen.

Elder Emmanuel of Rivers State is a politician. He collected the Anointing Water on the 29th of December 2010 and anointed his family. On January 11th, there was a frightening knock on his door which made them start screaming for help.

When help was not forthcoming, they remembered Jesus and began to call His name for intervention. In desperation, the man broke the ceiling and went into hiding there so as not to be killed by these robbers. The robbers broke their way into the house and searched everywhere. They were in the house for one hour and twenty minutes searching for what they could make away with. Later, they told themselves that the place was not safe for them and they left. Thanks to God that no member of the family was killed but only some laptops and handsets were removed. But for the Anointing Water who knows what would have been the fate of this family? We thank the Lord for using the medium of the Anointing Water to provide safety to His children.

Alice Michael is a widow caring for the many children left behind by her late husband. Indeed, the task of caring for the many children alone is not easy for her. She apparently felt relieved when a man met her in the market and promised to offer her something that would make her prosper. However some other people advised her to come to The SCOAN to seek the needed assistance. In The SCOAN she collected the sticker and with it she and her family prayed. Later that night, the man she met in the market called her and she went accompanied by one of her daughters. The man offered her the sum of N3,000 and asked her to wait outside while he went inside with her daughter. She became uncomfortable when she heard her daughter crying inside. Later, the man brought out the daughter complaining that there was something in her that rendered her unsuitable for his purpose. Dropping the child with her mother, he retrieved the money he gave to her and asked her to go with her daughter. Unknown to the mother, The SCOAN sticker was glued to the dress of the baby to save her from the hands of evil ones. We thank the Lord for using the medium of the sticker to save His innocent daughter.
