SIN’S POWER MUST BE BROKEN

Sin’s power over our lives must be broken in Jesus’ name. This was the focus of the Saturday and Sunday services at The SCOAN where tens of thousands of people from far and near had flocked in search of a touch from our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  Prophet T.B. Joshua stated in his message that satan is the obstacle between us and the Father. Therefore, we need to defeat satan to remove him from our view so we can see the Father. How can we remove him from our view? When satan wants you to cry and you laugh, you defeat him and when sin’s power over you is broken, then you can begin to live by grace, not by law. The message was followed by numerous cases of individuals and families whose lives were redeemed from sin’s power. Among them were the following:

1. MR FABIO ADJAVON – DELIVERED FROM EVIL ATTACKS ON FACEBOOK

One day, Mr Fabio Adjavon received a strange friend request while he was on Facebook. Normally, he did not accept Friend Requests but when he saw the person’s location, he thought they were a member of his church. After clicking the photo ID of the person, photos of demons and the devil appeared. As he browsed the profile’s pictures, he felt something enter him and he started feeling sick. He refused to accept the request and logged off the internet but the strange sensation continued.

Suddenly, he started to see dead family members in his dreams, telling him they had come for him and that he would not live to see the year 2013. He received a phone call from an unknown number one night telling him that they were assigned to kill him because they did not want him to follow the calling of God. He was later arrested and put in prison after officials told him his passport was fake. In prison, he heard voices telling him to escape from the prison and commit suicide.

He called a friend to bail him out of prison and made his way directly to The SCOAN. He had seen one of the Wise Men delivering him in a dream a few months before and when he arrived at The SCOAN, that was exactly what happened. He was completely delivered, his life was restored and his way opened. He stated that he realised his encounter on Facebook was more than ordinary when, after his deliverance, he logged into his account and could no longer find the Friend Request that had started the whole demonic connection. He advised the youth to be careful and prayerful with their use of the internet and to choose their friends with care because they may become what they are.

2. MR JAMES SALAWU – DELIVERED FROM POVERTY THROUGH THE ANOINTING WATER

A native Ghanaian, he had suffering from abject poverty for 17 years. Things were so bad that he regularly borrowed money to eat and could not send his children to school. One night, after watching Emmanuel TV, he dreamt that Prophet T.B. Joshua came to him and instructed him to follow Jesus. After the dream, he decided to come to The SCOAN to receive the Anointing Water. After ministering it in the name of Jesus, he received a huge breakthrough. Within five months, he built a three bedroom home on a plot of land, bought three new cars and even gave one away. Praise the Lord! Now transformed from poverty to prosperity, he advised all that when you administer the Anointing Water, in the name of Jesus Christ, you are set aside for God’s special attention for healing, deliverance, blessing and salvation.

3. ANOINTING WATER BRINGS HEALING TO A YOUNG BOY WHO DRANK ACID

While Mr Obi was away on a long journey, his son accidently drank acid and collapsed. Mr Florentus was distressed until he remembered seeing a similar case on Emmanuel TV where a child who had drunk acid and could only eat through a pipe was healed through the Anointing Water in the name of Jesus Christ. He quickly called his brother who sprayed the Anointing Water on his son. Immediately, the little boy revived and completely recovered! Mr Florentus, overjoyed that his son had literally been returned to him, advised that everybody should trust in God and that all things are possible through Him.

4. CHRIS CHIBUNNA AZUOGU – GOSPEL SINGER DELIVERED FROM A GUNSHOT THROUGH THE ANOINTING WATER

One night, in a dream, Mr Azuogu was attacked by four hefty men and shot. The force of the bullet lifted him up and dropped him on the floor, the very position he found himself in physically when he woke up. He suddenly became very weak and sick. When he examined his body, he saw a visible mark in the same place where he had been shot in the dream. He went to different hospitals but they could not remove the hot sensation around his heart nor the weakness in his body.  His brother had previously come to The SCOAN and obtained the Anointing Water. Mr Azuogu asked for just one drop, believing that he would be healed. After rubbing the Anointing Water on his chest, in the name of Jesus Christ, the pain left immediately. That night, he dreamt that he was in The SCOAN and the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua prayed for him. When he woke up, Emmanuel TV was playing on his TV and the Prophet was conducting Mass Prayer. He joined the prayer in faith and suddenly began vomiting blood and other poisonous substances. To his surprise, inside the blood was a physical bullet! He is now completely healed and praises God for delivering him from the spiritual attack that had aimed to take his life. He had indeed received life anew, as promised by our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

5. MR AND MRS GEORGE NAMAYALA – SAVED FROM AN ACCIDENT IN ZAMBIA THROUGH THE ANOINTING WATER

Mrs Namayala, after receiving the Anointing Water from The SCOAN in 2011, regularly anointed her husband’s photo when she prayed. Mr Namayala is a truck driver who travels frequently and so they also placed the Anointing Sticker on the front and back of the vehicle. During a journey from Zambia to South Africa, Mr Namayala found himself on the verge of being in an accident. He shouted the name of Jesus and the truck came to an immediate halt. As it stopped, a charm fell out of the cabinet. Shocked, Mr Namayala discovered that the cause of his previous driving incidents was the occultic charm someone had hidden in his vehicle. He expressed his gratitude to God for bringing the Anointing Water and Anointing Stickers which had broken the yoke of sin and satan in his life and saved him thereby!

6. MRS GEORGIA SHEPPARD – DELIVERED FROM EVIL ATTACK

Mrs Sheppard, from South Africa, had been experiencing strange voices filling her mind with negative thoughts. Tired of life and this bondage, she realized that there was something in her that wanted to destroy God’s purpose in her life. Yesterday, she came to The SCOAN Saturday Service and Jesus Christ delivered her from a contrary spirit through the prayer of the wise men. After her deliverance, she testified that her sleep was peaceful and she is no longer hearing the strange voices telling her to leave this world. On the contrary, she said her ears had opened to hear the voice of God, His Word and His Spirit. Her advice to viewers is to stay in the Word of God and trust Him because He is the solution to all fundamental issues of life.

7. MR JOHAN STRYDOM – DELIVERED FROM SPIRIT OF LUST

Mr Johan had accompanied his mother, Mrs Sheppard, from South Africa to The SCOAN for deliverance. He said that from a young age, he had access to pornography and that this developed a spirit of lust in him. This evil spirit had since afflicted his education, work and marriage. This spirit affected his career, marriage, and other areas of his life. Yesterday, during The SCOAN Saturday Live Service, Jesus Christ used the wise men to deliver him from the contrary spirit, the spirit of lust which had entered him through watching pornography on the internet and other media. After his deliverance, he testified that his thoughts are clear and that he feels freedom and joy and that the urge to look at pornography is no longer a part of him! He advised the millions of internet users and youth in particular to realise that when they are on the internet, they are in a danger zone. He advised them to safeguard their hearts and minds by using the internet only for a defined purpose and after that purpose, they should log off.

8. TRISTAN DONALD – DELIVERED FROM THE SPIRIT OF LUST AND ANGER AT THE SCOAN PRAYER LINE

Twenty-two year old Mr. Tristan Donald from Cape Town, South Africa had a problem that many around the world suffer from. He had the spirit of lust and anger for 8 years which entered him while watching pornographic films. This spirit of lust affected his studies and his relationships with women. From a young age, he had many girlfriends whom he also beat up due to the spirit of anger. He also masturbated and watched pornography on his computer and cell phone through the internet. At night, he would see the same women he watched in the pornographic movies in his dreams. He came to know about The SCOAN through Emmanuel TV and decided to fly from South Africa to Nigeria. At the Saturday Live Service, Jesus Christ used Wise Man Christopher to deliver him from the spirits of lust and anger. He said that during the deliverance, he saw two evil spirits leaving his body and the urge to masturbate left him. He says he can now think more easily about God’s Word. His desire to watch pornography is no longer there. He advised parents to pray for their children, be careful of the type of phones they give them and be with them when they are using the internet. He also advised people to know God’s Word, find a living church where they can receive deliverance from the bondage of satan and give their purpose to God because the joy of Christ in us cannot be destroyed.

9. MRS SHARON MURUGAN AND SON – DELIVERED FROM CONTRARY SPIRITS, SPIRITS OF DRINKING ALCOHOL AND SMOKING

The Murugan family came to The SCOAN to receive a touch from Jesus Christ that would transform their destinies. Mrs Murugan had been encountering a strange man coming to have affairs with her in her dreams. This destroyed all affection she had for her real husband and affected her emotions negatively. Her 18 year old son, Mitchell was also addicted to smoking and drinking alcohol for 6 years, was unusually stubborn and always angry. During the prayer line, the evil spirit tormenting Mrs Murugan manifested, saying that it wanted to destroy her future, her marriage and her children. After her deliverance, she testified that she has discovered peace and has renewed affection for her husband. Her son Mitchell also explained that the urge to drink and smoke had miraculously left him. What he normally took on a daily basis for the past 6 years was suddenly no longer desirable to him. The entire family is now immensely grateful to God for changing the course of their family forever.

10. PASTOR AND MRS MAGDALENE SAMUEL AZEEZ – RECONCILED AFTER DELIVERANCE FROM THE SPIRIT OF PYTHON AND A SPIRITUAL HUSBAND

Mrs Azeez had been possessed by a spirit of a python and a spiritual husband. She saw snakes and slept with strange men in her dreams. Her husband was the pastor of a ministry in Ghana and she had disturbed and tormented the ministry to no end, which added trouble to the marriage. For the past three months, her husband had deserted her, telling her that he was no longer interested in being married to her. She had come to The SCOAN from Ghana to seek the face of God and was delivered from the contrary spirit. The deliverance led to reconciliation between husband and wife as Pastor Azeez brought forth two wedding rings for the man of God to sanctify. Prophet T.B. Joshua blessed the rings and prayed for the couple in the power of the Holy Spirit. The happy couple shared their delight in the Holy Spirit who had made them fruitful in all areas of their lives. The reconciliation had positively influenced his church and two additional branches had been added to the ministry in just six months. He also received a brand new vehicle. Pastor Azeez said that The SCOAN is like Mount Sinai where Moses met God for his commission and that when you come to The SCOAN, you will meet God. The happy couple was filled with gratitude to God Almighty.

11. MRS PHIKI KERELETSWE – DELIVERED FROM FIVE YEARS OF BARRENNESS AT THE BOTSWANA FOR CHRIST CRUSADE

She first found out about Prophet T.B. Joshua in 1999. In 2005, it was announced that Prophet T.B. Joshua would visit Botswana for a crusade. By that time, she had been barren for five years and various doctors had worked on her without any solution. She joined Prophet T.B. Joshua in the mass prayer, believing for a solution and recalled that during the prayer, he asked rain for the country that was suffering a drought. Instantly, rain began to fall. She believed her problem was over. That same month, she became pregnant! The child is now seven years of age and is a living testimony to the miraculous power of Jesus Christ!

12. MRS BELLA ESSIEN – HEALED OF A BLOOD PROBLEM THROUGH THE ANOINTING WATER

During her pregnancy, she was exposed to disastrous antibodies which could potentially affect her ability to deliver her child naturally. Numerous blood tests were run and the doctors said the antibodies might affect her pregnancy. With a bottle of Anointing Water in her hand, she prayed and ministered it in the name of Jesus. To the glory of God, a second medical test taken by the doctors revealed that she had been healed from the dangerous blood problem. She went on to deliver her baby without any trouble. She advised people to always hold onto God as their solution.

13. ROSALINE MAAIJO – DELIVERED FROM BEDWETTING THROUGH THE ANOINTING WATER

Rosaline Maito, a Cameroonian woman living in Equatorial Guinea, came to The SCOAN to appreciate God for removing a great stigma from her life. Since childhood, she suffered from the problem of bedwetting. She stated that each night, she would dream that she needed to go to the restroom. In her dream, she would go outside and go to the restroom. Upon waking up, she would find that her bed was wet. This caused great shame and embarrassment in her life. One day, her fiancé told her that she should not worry, that he would arrange to send her to The SCOAN for prayer so that the problem would be put to an end.

After arriving at The SCOAN, she received the Anointing Water and joyfully returned to her hotel room. That night, she prayed and ministered the Anointing Water, asking Jesus Christ to bring her out of her shame so that she could live freely, in Jesus’ name. That night, she dreamt once again that she needed to go to the restroom. In her dream, she was just about to go outside when she felt a tap on her shoulder. Turning around, she saw Prophet T.B. Joshua, telling her to wake up! Shocked, she woke with a start. Standing up, she was fearful that she would find her bed wet but to her greatest surprise, everything was dry! A burden of 10 years had been wiped away with just one spray of the Anointing Water, in Jesus’ name! All glory be unto Jesus!

14. MR AND MRS CHARLES ODOGWU – DELIVERED FROM TUBAL BLOCKAGE AND LOW SPERM COUNT THROUGH ANOINTING WATER

She had experienced tubal blockage and her husband suffered from low sperm count. Both had visited many hospitals without any solution in sight. So, she used the Anointing Water and prayed in Jesus’ name. Soon after, she went to a laboratory and was confirmed pregnant. Full of gratitude to God, she brought the child to the church as a mark of honour. During labour, she said she had pushed just once before the baby came out! She is happy to be a mother and said, “This baby is a baby of The SCOAN!” She said the Anointing Water is full of the supernatural power of Jesus Christ. She advised that people should have faith in God and should not lose hope. Her husband also gave another testimony. He said that he had a piece of land which was undeveloped because of the lack of money to build. After praying at The SCOAN, he was miraculously blessed with a new house! Mr Odogwu said that 2013 is indeed a year of a new dream and that a new dream will come to everyone, in Jesus’ name!

15. JOHN MARK – CRIME RATE REDUCED THROUGH ANOINTING WATER

Mr. John Mark is the Chief Superintendent of Police in Anambra, Nigeria. In early 2011, he was transferred and installed as a Divisional Police Officer (DPO). He became worried when he realised that the area was known for its high crime rate and violence. His division decided to turn to God for protection. Mr. John obtained the Anointing Water and Anointing Stickers from The SCOAN. He and officers of his division started to pray with the Anointing Water every day and placed the Anointing Stickers on all of their vehicles. Since then, the crime rate has dropped drastically and there have been no deaths in his division. Others asked him how the change happened and he told them that God had done it through the medium of the Anointing Water and the Anointing Sticker!

He gave advice to all police officers, encouraging them not to depend on their guns and armour but rather rely on God, using medium of the Anointing Water and Anointing Sticker, in Jesus’ name.

16. MR FABIAN ACHIGWE – HEALED OF FOOT ULCER AND DIABETES

Mr Fabian Achigwe came to The SCOAN barefoot, with a giant ulcer on his left foot. The skin was open and the exposed tissue and muscles were
yellow and puss-filled. Due to this problem, he could not wear shoes or even sandals. He could not sleep, leave the house or associate with his friends because of the odour of the foot ulcer. The doctors told him that his only option was to amputate his foot. When he refused, the doctors told him that even patients with a lesser degree of foot ulcer had to submit to amputation. His wife said that his case would be different, in Jesus’ name and quickly brought him to The SCOAN. Upon arriving, he received prayer from the Wise Men in the prayer line and his time of sickness came to an end!

Walking into the auditorium wearing covered shoes, Mr Fabian revealed his completely healed foot to the glory of God! Only a small scar was left to remind him of how God Almighty had healed the once gaping hole in his foot. Truly, Jesus Christ is the Repairer and Restorer! He advised that people should focus on God to get their dreams accomplished.

17. CHIEF MICHAEL AZOSIBE: DELIVERED FROM MERMAID SPIRIT AND HIS MANHOOD RESTORED

Chief Michael Azosibe had received a prophetic message from Prophet T.B. Joshua stating that he had a woman inside him. The prophet sent him to the Wise Men for deliverance and during the prayer, the spirit inside him said that he sold five cars and two buildings and was preparing to sell another vehicle. The evil spirit also said that he had five wives, all of which he had sent out of his house. He also had to use drugs in order to make love to women for the past 8 years. One of the wives, who was in the service with him that day, had said that her husband had been suffering, that he lost 14 million naira, was not predictable, had children scattered in many places and had nothing to show for his work.

Chief Michael Azosibe confessed that he had married in 1985, 1988 and 2004 and that there were no children from any of the women. He also confessed that eight years ago he had slept with a strange woman in a hotel who disappeared before his eyes after he refused to marry her. Since then, his manhood had failed to respond, one of his wives had to undergo a fibroid operation and one had repeated miscarriages. It was revealed that the wife with him during his deliverance was his sixth wife. Suddenly, his first wife came forward, claiming that they had married 19 years ago and testifying that the first time she heard about the other wives was on Emmanuel TV.

Prophet T.B. Joshua said that though the man has been delivered, all women laying claims to him must also be delivered, after which he would reveal the voice of God on the issue. He concluded by saying, “The love of the world is blind; the love of Christ has eyes”.

18. MRS SHELLY OBASI AND FAMILY: DELIVERED FROM EVIL FORCES

A video was replayed showing the deliverance process of Mrs Shelly Obasi, a Nigerian based in South Africa. While being delivered by Wise Man Harry, the spirit spoke through her that it was a giant man from the Indian Ocean and had destroyed her and her family. It said it killed her husband and that she had no career. It claimed to have spent more than 200 years on earth, stated that Prophet T.B. Joshua had destroyed its kingdom and that she (Shelly) had since been assigned to kill people in the hospitals.

Her 18 year old daughter, Princess Obasi also received deliverance. She had been possessed by the spirit of snake and fish. They gave her three powers – one in her hands, one in her body and the most powerful one in her legs – the power of the fish. She said her assignment was to bring high class men into their kingdom and she attracted them through the power in her legs as she walked down the street. If they slept with her, they would then go and win more people to the evil kingdom or, their finances would go down.

She had made a covenant with the spirit through a tattoo on her back. In her dream one night, the spirit showed her the design of the tattoo she was to get and once it was tattooed, the covenant was sealed. The tattoo made the men desire her alone. The spirits told her that soon, they would make her a queen in their kingdom if she continued to initiate people to their kingdom. She said when she dreamt, the evil spirits would show her the kind of men she would meet and she would later see them that day physically. She said she would sleep with four or five men every day. Whenever she initiated the high class men, they would receive more wealth and start working for the evil spirits but if they were stubborn, their wealth would crumble. She said the spirit had a particular time when it would come. Then, she would not be able to control herself. When her family would question her about her lifestyle, she would get angry and walk out of the house. The mother, daughter and other members of the family were in the church to confirm what the spirits had spoken on both.

After her deliverance, Mrs Obasi said that there is power in the demonic kingdom and that those initiated, after dying, often came back as agents of evil. She had been one of them. She said that when her sick husband was hospitalized, many people in the hospital died when she paid visits to him. The kingdom also caused floods in efforts to bring more people into their kingdom.

Miss Princess Obasi advised all youth to focus on their education and listen to their parents. She said she didn’t have focus in school but she could have and it was this distraction that led her to this lifestyle. She advised youth who find themselves in this lifestyle, that the same Lord that delivered her will deliver them, too. She said if we do not pray to change what is written on the board, Sodom and Gomorrah is coming.

After the many testimonies, the congregation joined Prophet T.B. Joshua in a powerful mass prayer session where the real, forceful and authentic power of God was demonstrated and people were set free from the power of sin and satan in their lives.

The Sunday Service came to an end with many lives transformed and many testimonies restored as people walked out of the church premises. That they left the church auditorium did not mean that they left the presence of God; rather, His presence stayed with them as Jesus stayed with them in their hearts. As Jesus was raised from the dead for them to receive a new life, a new direction, a new focus, people that had flocked to The SCOAN went back to their various destinations with a new focus indeed.
